    Copeland is one of the few drummers who is pretty much irreplaceable in a band due to his unique style and technique. He’s in there with Bonham, Peart, Moon, Baker and very few others.

    • @Guppusmaximus
      @Guppusmaximus Рік тому

      @@weebunny And, I remember when that used to matter. Now you have Jazz / Fusion beasts like Gergo Borlai who murders single strokes with a matched grip but switches every so often to trad. Then you have Metal monsters like Eloy Casagrande who does wrist drops with the stick in between his middle finger and ring finger AND Wanja Groger where it looks matched but his does a alien-like push / pull maneuver that pretty much eliminates the wrist. I will always love and respect Mr. Copeland but drummers like him need to start acknowledging the players that have surpassed him.

    I think the Foo Fighters could do a lot worse that to ask Stuart Copeland to stand in for Taylor Hawkins in the medium term (if they haven’t already). The two drummers were good friends. This isn’t the first time Copeland and the Foo fighters have played together. And not only is Stewart Copeland an astonishingly good drummer, (with perfect chops for the FF sound) not only does he have energy levels that most seventeen year olds would find it difficult to keep up with, but emotionally he has everything you might want in a favorite older brother. A very stabilizing presence. And Dave Ghrol especially would need that right now. They are already a multi generational band. My guess is that if asked he would say yes. As a fan I would be excited about that.

    Copeland is unique and still hitting hard. Great version of every little thing, it's become probably my favourite Police song

    Mesmerising stuff from Stewart. Grew up listening to the Police - his playing used to make me rewind that cassette over and over again. Thank you Boss.

    Stewart Copeland é um fenômeno na bateria. É o único baterista da história que consegue se destacar, facilmente, mais que os guitarristas e vocalistas. Copeland é um poeta da bateria. É um gênio, muito dedicado, e com imenso amor pelo que faz. Você concorda ?

    ¡Joder! Stewart es una maldita maquina asesina, un baterista completo y en su máxima expresión, con un estilo bastante único, no hay otro como el.

    But most of all... go Stuart! That rocked.

    Copeland: An iconic drummer who SURVIVED. Man ... He does things that drummers just don't do. It's not speed. It's feel, and syc. It's soul. It's amazing. I'm a drummer and I can mimic just about about anybody give enough practice .. not Copeland; forget it. About the best compliment I can give any drummer. There's a reason why John Bonham took notice of him before is untimely death.

    Copeland should get an award for being the hardest hitting drummer haha it really makes his Tom’s sound amazing and I love the swing in his playing.

    Want to know how good The Police were? Foo Fighters and the lead singer for Yes sound like a garage band playing their music. Drummer was dead on, though
