That reference that the Bushwhacker made about Tylenol there at the end of the clip may not mean much to those who don't remember the Tylenol scare back in the fall of 1982.
I DEFINITELY Remember the Tylenol scare of 1982! I'd just turned 20 tears old in September of that year, and Tylenol had been in the bad habit of not sealing their product securely. That ended up with at least some people getting their killing done! Tylenol suppliers, left and right, had to pull their products off of the shelves, before any more damage was done! Several years back, rumors began to surface that Tylenol was leading to health risks, such as Cancer. I quit taking that junk IMMEDIATELY! I'll never go back to it, for as long as I live!!!
This had to be some kind of a rib on him tho, prolly making him pay his dues with the little bitch gimmick before they allowed him to spout off and talk shit
...until he came across The Fantastics. Stan Lane and Steve Keirn were doing just fine without him. However, he "got in their ear", and they ended up turning Heel. Stan Lane also ended up teaming with Jim Cornette again, back in either 1986 or 1987, when Jim Cornette needed a replacement for Dennis Condrey, who'd just basically walked off from being a member of the Midnight Express. There were several renditions of the Midnight Express. 1: Dennis Condrey & Randy Rose. 2: Beautiful Bobby replaced Randy Rose, so it became Beautiful Bobby & Dennis Condrey as the 2nd Rendition of the Midnight Express. 3:Sweet Stan replaced Dennis Condrey, making it Beautiful Bobby and Sweet Stan. This 3rd Rendition of the Midnight Express struck Gold! They held multiple Tag-Team Championships. Then, in the Early 1990s, in Smoky Mountain Wrestling, they added Dr. Tom Pritchard. After that, though, at some point, the Midnight Express moniker was dropped, and a new Tag-Team, christened the Heavenly Bodies, was formed. The Tag-Team consisted of Dr. Tom Pritchard, and a new guy, by the name of Jimmy Del Ray. However, this Tag-Team only lasted less than 2 years...at least by my count. Time moves on...but look at the Men Jim Cornette has managed! These gentlemen, like 'em or not, have carved out their own niche in the Wrestling World!
Dutch looks kinda like Toy Caldwell of the Marshall Tucker band here. Check out some old vid footage of them and you'll see it too. I miss the old days of Memphis Wrestling.
Kenneth Rayman ....He wanted it to appear that he was yachting to bolster his spoiled rich boy image. Much like the tennis racket, another “upper crust” sport.
good one! another quality episode of "before they were stars". dutch mantell made a big mistake. dutch had the opportunity for him and bobby jaggers to before "the" greatest tag team in the south by hiring the best manager in the south. well, maybe the Kansas Jayhawks could have been in the Midnight Express spot if Dutch didnt declines Jimmy's offer....hmmm. probably not but this would have made a good story line in nwa when they were both in crockett territory--> the midnights ambush the jayhawks in retaliation for dutch insulting jimmy in memphis.
Jim looks like Isacc the bartenders protégé from the love boat...Kidding aside mama gave Jim more money and formed his meal ticket, - the midnight express :)
He seems so calm and level headed... my how times have changed.
"uuuh - I watch Richard Simmons" - another classic!

Sheepherders get it right. Not that watered down Bushwackers crap that McMahon came up with. Plus Jonathan Boyd was never a Bushwacker

Wow, just look how young Jim Cornette is here.
Cornette would recover from this setback though & go on to be one of the greatest managers ever.
This had to be some kind of a rib on him tho, prolly making him pay his dues with the little bitch gimmick before they allowed him to spout off and talk shit
This is what I loved about Cornette. He was such an obnoxious jerk even the other heels hated him.

Thanks for the flashback.
I haven't been this excited since I divorced my first old lady.
Dutch is one of the most underrated wrestlers and managers ever.
I just realized that Stone Cold basically stole his gimmick from Dutch.

Pure talent on the mic right there
Yes ! He was great teaming with Jim Ross on WWF Raw back in 98 and Shot Gun Saturday Night
The Sheepherders at the end"Jonathan Boyd and Luke Williams"
Corny in a sailing captain's cap... weird. Way before my time when he just had the white jacket and racket.
Kenneth Rayman ....He wanted it to appear that he was yachting to bolster his spoiled rich boy image. Much like the tennis racket, another “upper crust” sport.
@SNAKEEYESSAM I beleive it was Sherri Martel aslo known as Sensational Sherri.
HOLY SHIT!! THE BUSHWACKERS!!!
Had Jim just returned from an audition as an understudy for Captain and Tennille?
Wearing a captain’s hat as if he were just out yachting.
Jim was a natural.
Crazy Jim and Zeb Colter!!
i remember watching that classic dutch wooo

2:29-2:40 stupid crazy funny
@xcellken1 If you watched the shoot videos that Cornette did, he ate because he was pissed at Vince Russo.
Spaulding Smails....
Jim looks like Isacc the bartenders protégé from the love boat...Kidding aside mama gave Jim more money and formed his meal ticket, - the midnight express :)
Rare live footage of Jim Cornette with low blood pressure.
Jim Cornette is the Goat of wrestling managers.
Banana Nose Lance Russell.
Oh Jimmy jib jim
I can understand why JC longs for the days of territorial pro wrestling. Just like the 20 fans in the audience.
The ratings in the area were the highest in the US.
What does 20 fans have to do with it? It was studio wrestling. The idea was to use these shows to draw thousands to the actual shows.
