It was so believable back in the day… before the curtain was lifted. The moves and “spots” weren’t as flashy, but the stories and characters were better. RIP 🎙 Lance Russell
I remember EVERY Saturday morning, my friends and I used to sit in the floor and watch this show. To me THIS is professional wrestling. They had no money, but they knew how to create stories and characters that people cared about. Bring back kayfabe! THIS will always be professional wrestling to me!
I have often wondered if Jack Brisco was the patron saint of Pro Wrestling. The sport's colorful characters assuredly have invoked his name over the years. "Let me tell you something, Jack! When this happens in Memphis (or Atlanta or Chicago), Jack! Hey, Jack, you just show up at The Fairgrounds Arena Monday night if you got guts enough, Jack!" I imagine that Mr. Brisco had to have gotten a real chuckle out of it all over the years.B.W.
"Wrestlers" today need to watch this angle and learn some real skills in how to talk, walk and wrestle. Come to think of it, they need to watch it like a hundred times to actually "get" the point of how to get the crowd going without actually getting in the ring.
Heck evrybody was a good guy. Guess they needed a bad guy and boy did Dundee fit the role. I thnk this whole thng strtd a feud that brought us The Bill and Buddy show. is that right GShea? I thnk it also was about the time Jeff Jarrett got his start.
If Dundee wasn't a migett he would have been alot bigger in wrestling.

Lawler never impressed me in the slightest. He looked like they slapped tights on the average guy who works at the tire shop and pushed him as some super competitive wrestler.
This should be titled, "Little Billy wants a belt...." 😂😂
I remember this, man this was the best wrestling.
He is the classic short man complex
One of wrestling's best feuds
This is miles better than modern pro wrestling. It seems real.

When the guys who could cut the best promos and shit talk the best are discussed Bill Dundee needs to get more love. He was great.
Absolutely
I can remember watching this when it happened . where can I get full episodes of CWA Wrestling like this from those years?
"You're just coming out here looking for trouble, Bill."
Well, if you can't find trouble in the Memphis Wrestling studio, where CAN you find it?
Memphis brawls were the best
Good days and Lawler rockin that perm lol.

"Jack!"B.W.
this was a great angle but the best memphis angle ever was when the king talked flair into putting that title up in the ring on tv
The bit about driving the Chevy at 2:17 is hilarious!
"NO DADDY, DRIVE A REAL CAR!" lmfao
Lance Russell’s nose by Jimmy Hart is the greatest song of the eighties.

that jobber in the ring looked like a young golddust in the polka dot shirt
Jobber ??? .... That was no jobber.
That was Jerry Jarrett, the legendary
father of Jeff Jarrett and the owner
of the promotion.

I wouldn't mind but people think TNA looks bad holding their tv show in a studio in front of 1000 people so going back to less than 100 is out.
