One of the reasons why he was so good at getting heat. You can imagine the audience thinking "What business does this scrawny little geek have anywhere near wrestling?!"
If I live to be 200 years old, I will never forget Sherri. I was on several shows with her in the Anniston area back in the day. She was a total sweetheart and a consummate performer. The funny part is, the first night she was there I had no idea who she was until she put her hair up and got about half her makeup on. The realization hit me like a ton of bricks. I'd been talking to her for half an hour. My favorite photo from my 18 years in the ring is one of Sherri and I standing in the ring that night.
Sherri still, to this very day, is my very favorite woman in pro wrestling. She was such a good worker and such a convincing heel. I hate that we were deprived of her wonderful self, but her memory will live on forever. Rest easy Sherri. You were absolutely sensational. ❤️
No female ever worked as hard as Sherri did. She could easily have been a 'diva' but instead she chose to take bumps, make noise, interfere and create a completely unique character. Those years with Savage, Dibiase and Michaels were very entertaining with so many great moments
Two of the the greatest managers of all time.Love Jim and Sherri. She knew the flow of a match, how to accentuate a wrestler perfectly without taking away or adding too much and she was gorgeous.Would have loved to have seen a stable headed by both Jim and Sherri at some point.
What year was this, almost didn't recognize her? I saw some things on the dark side of the ring that wasn't too flattering about the "fabulous mooha", and how she treated her girls. Hope Sherri wasn't subjected to those things. 😢
So cool, a young Cornette lol. Growing up, I've only ever known the WWF version of Cornette (who was legendary btw) and that was about it. I'm so glad for UA-cam because we get to see more.of their careers.
1) He never saw Sherri again after he managed Sherri and Leilani Kai which was after this 2)The first wrestler he managed is the one who will break his streak of Manager of the Year awards
I heard Jamie Dundee say that Memphis wrestling doesn’t have a video library, because they used the same VHS tape to record every week. Can anyone validate that or not?
idk if it's out there but i can tell you the cornette memphis footage is mainly off the match portion of the vhs version of his 2000 shoot interview with RF not sure if they put them on the dvd version but i can guarantee you this is off the vhs version right before wwe bought a bunch of the libraries
What a shame, Sherri was very cute--at least she got into the WWE HOF before she passed away. 999--what a hell of a run of bad luck for pro westling fans in the 1990's, Sherri, Bull Nakano, and Luna had substance abuse issues and hit the fast exit out of the WWE--that would have been a great division even if Madusa would not have then come on board to replace Sherri.
He looks like he had no business being there until he opens his mouth and gold comes pouring out. Absolute natural

You hit it?
Queen Sensational
Yes, and the crowd chanted "You're still hot" at her HOF induction. I'm sure she loved it.
She has to hold a special place in his heart.

For me she made HBK
Took him out of midcard and made him a Star
Damn time flies, they were so young!!
Sherri was striking without all of that paint! I admire Cornette for managing her!
Wrestling Observer awarded Manager of the Year 13 times, Jim and Sherri won 12 of them.

Two of the greatest talkers, most influential figures, and greatest characters ever in wrestling. Sherri and Cornette, are giants of wrestling.
Jimmy is like a playboy never would I have imagined
Jim Cornette was the king of the mic. Incredibly entertaining!
He learned from Jimmy Hart and it was a right place and time

Great vid. Sherri is SO different to the raving lunatic of later years.
THAT'S Cornette!? WHAT THE HELL!!!! Man, was he young!
From Memphis tv-fall of 1982.Thanks.
Cornette before wendys and sprite lol.
He's 22 here. If you're not in reasonably good shape at 22, you should probably consider making some significant adjustments to your lifestyle.

He was 21-22 here
Look like Jim Carey could impersonate Jim Cornette.
Yeah that was great, do u have the match?
I heard Jamie Dundee say that Memphis wrestling doesn’t have a video library, because they used the same VHS tape to record every week. Can anyone validate that or not?
This is true, the footage out there is what fans have taped off of TV.
