It would be wonderful if you had your own nationally televised program! You are a class act! I have learned so much from you and you have such a calming presence! I learn from you on both Skillshare and here. Thank you for your excellence!!!
I wanted to thank you for the KINDLE version of this book. I am a disabled veteran on a budget but so wanted to invest in your book.. Recently I blessed with some yarn that will suit this project! Woot! I am new at this but I collecting these yarns for blankets and pillow cover projects. I am redecorating and want a cozy home for my Grandies and other visitors thank you for creating such beautifully detailed videos that are easy to follow. My tote will be used to carry my WIP's, water or snack and tablet.
I really like that you share how to pick colors and pairs. How to design and plan before crochet is good reference and no many others does that. Thank you!!
My toxic trait is watching this, thinking it looks easy, and deciding I could absolutely do this perfectly the first time despite never having crocheted before a day in my life.
My favorite use for bulky weight yarn is hats and scarf sets. Every time I see your videos I take out my Tunisian crochet hooks. Thank you for sharing with us.
I love your channel and this is going to be the project that starts my tunisian crochet journey. I have a tendency to choose projects with 3 weight or lighter yarns and have only just started using bulkier weight yarns so I don't have a favourite super bulky weight yarn project yet... I'm thinking the Kensington bag might become my favourite. Thanks for the opportunity to enter the give away.
I love the simplicity of this pattern and the way it still looks so cute at the end. My favorite way to use bulky yarn is I love to make over sized plushes from small patterns. As much as I do follow the yarn weight and like the average size of the toy making it bigger and chunkyer always makes me happy especially if it’s a really easy less than 20 row stuffed toy. Edit: lol bad spelling
Thank you so much! I haven't tried Tunisian yet, but your pattern and instruction are so careful and clear that I'm convinced it will be easy. :) My favorite use for super bulky yarn was just like week when I introduced my 6 year old granddaughter to crochet. The bulky yarn and a big needle made it easy for her; she took to chaining right away and is eager to move on to single crochet.
That's so awesome. My granny taught me to crochet when I was about 10 with some scrap red heart super saver. I'm 43 now and still crochet. After stage 4 cancer I started crocheting afghans for members of my family to remember me by if it came back. I'm on my 4th one now.
I don't have a favorite thing to make with super bulky yarn as I never use it because I don't know what to use it for. Now I realize that it can make fantastic bags, Thank you Toni for doing this and showing us how to make this bag. I love your Tunisian crochet videos - I think I have watched them all.
I love super bulky yarn for hard and slippers. I'm so excited to try this bag for my first Tunisian crochet project. I think the book and yarn for this pattern will be a lovely Mother’s Day gift for my mom this year. Thank you.
Right now my favorite use for bulky weight yarn has been decoration. I have been organizing my yarns but after watching this video I will be pulling some yarn down to make this bag. Thank you for being such a calming presence.
I like making projects that are quick. I lose interest fast if the project takes too much time, so on account of this I like using bulky and super bulky yarns. I want to make this bag for when I'm out and about, good for taking a project with me. I just got back into Tunisian crochet, so this project is right up my alley.
The one time I used a big super bulky yarn, I was learning to knit. My cat claimed the scarf as his own, so I turned it into a cat bed. I love using the bulky stuff for blankets; not only does everything work up quicker, but also bulky = cozy!
I don’t have a favorite bulky yarn project but wanted to say I appreciate you and the videos you put out. I’ve rekindled my love of crochet after stumbling across your channel. There’s no going back now! Thank you and keep up the good work.
My favorite way to use super bulky yarn is to make little squishy amigurumi! They always come out so cute and cartoon-esque. Thanks for your patterns I listen to them as I study because your voice is so soothing!
I made this bag. It's on the blocking mat right now. I can't wait to stitch it together. I used the same yarn Ms. Toni used in her book. I just loved those colors!!. Now I want to make something to wear with this yarn. It is so soft and lovely.
I crochet and I have for years but I have never Tunisian crochet before. I really like this tote and I’m going to give it a try. Thank you so much for sharing❤
I love watching you create. I use bulky yarn for sweaters, blankets, bags almost everything because it's cold in New York. I made so many sweaters, I have all different colors for my moods. Thank you so much for sharing, I'm going to try this once I buy the needle I need. Thank you.
I love to crochet. My grandmother and I used to sit on her porch and I would watch her crochet. She only made doilies. And that is what she first taught me to crochet when I was about 12. So I have been crocheting for about 60 years. My favorite thing to crochet with bulky yarn is a great tote bag. A person can't have too many tote bags!!
Love that the pattern works up so quickly! I think that while the project was on the blocking board, I would cut out a lining, serge up the sides and fold over the top. Then a zipper could be added for security. Depending on the use or mood of the day, you could (or not) sew it into the bag after seaming the sides, or leave it loose inside as a removable liner. I'm an accountant so I always have a myriad of pens, pencils, paperclips and receipts that I would be dropping all over the place as I walked to and from my car without some kind of liner to control my chaos! Thanks for a cute and simple pattern! Oooh and I just thought, what if you made an insulated liner from quilted materials. It could be a great lunch bag!?
I have not found a bulky yarn that I like better than LB Wool Ease Thick and Quick. I've made so many things with it, and gifted so many beanies/scarves made of it. It's so soft and warm! I'm just starting my tunisian crochet journey and got my hooks in the mail today. I'm seeing a Kensington Tote in my future! 😍
I had stumbled across Tunisian crochet a couple of years ago and was amazed to see how easy and beautiful the projects turn out. I haven’t actually made anything with it though I had bought a book about Tunisian crochet stitches that I’ve tried. I now wish I had bought a book of various projects made with Tunisian crochet. Your tutorials are fantastic and so easy to follow! It makes me want to make a project with this chunky yarn as it looks so smooth and easy to work with. I’ve been very hesitant to make a blanket as I don’t want to get overwhelmed and think that this is the yarn to use as the blanket will grow quickly and be soft and comfy! On to my 1st Tunisian crochet project…. Wish me luck!
I've just recently gotten interested in Tunisian crochet. I tried it years ago, but was bored with just the simple stitch (didn't even know it was called that, when I learned, it was called afghan stitch). But I have been amazed at all the different stitches there are! This is so cool! I have only used super chunky yarn once. I made a very cute teddybear with it. It was fun. Thank you for your great videos!!! Learning a lot.
My favorite use for super bulky weight yarn is making baskets, blankets, and more. Things of all sizes. I loved making your basket with a yarn base, I use it to store some Lazy Days.
I like super bulky yarn when i crochet extra warm blankets for winter. Thank you so much for your tutorial. Its very detailed and easy to understand and follow
I have only just started using bulky yarns. I've only made some scrunchies & a hat. I can't wait to try this pattern! Thank you so much for showing how to block! I have be trying to figure out how to do that for years & didn't know how! Thank you! Thank you!
Oh goodness, three of my favorite things, or maybe it's 6?🤔😍 TUNISIAN CROCHET, LION BRAND YARN IN CHUNKY WEIGHTS, and YOU. 😊 😊 I love making home goods with super bulkys. Most recently, I made a flour pouf, great for getting comfy cozy, with my latest WIP! Thanks sooooo much! ❤️
I'm an avid knitter, but am starting to crochet since finding your channel. Definitely going to make the bag, whilst I learn the stitch! My favorite thing to make with bulky yarn is a cowl.
I clicked the second i saw the thumbnail. I have been looking for a good bag pattern. I will definitely use this pattern as soon as i get the yarn. I generally tend to lean towards the softer bulky yarns, like the velvet yarns. But my favorite use fo them is to make blankets and throws out of them. but i also like to make sweaters and jackets. I definitely love that dreamcatcher color. seen it in the store before but never got because i didnt know what i would use it for. now i have the perfect project for it thanks to you. 🥰🥰
I just love you. Thank you for a “just right” amount of explaining in your tutorial. Not too fast, and not dragging. Cute bag, can’t wait to get a bigger Tunisian crochet hook and trying this.
I don't know why I haven't commented on this channel before. I really love what you do and your vibrant personality. I've been having a rough time in my life and taking up crochet again has given me a little corner of peace during this time in my life. Your channel has been an inspiration. I have to say, I came to love super bulky yarn from one of your patterns: the Jesse Stash Basket. Sooooo... my favorite use for super bulky weight yarn would have to be baskets.
I'm new to bulky yarn crochet, but I am super excited to start crocheting again. I want to start with the Lion Brand Hue+Me Crochet Kit for a Fireside Basket to hold my yarns at home in my new craft space, and this Tunisian Crochet Tote Bag for carrying around my projects to a new crochet group I just joined in my hometown! Thanks, Toni for your inspirations and your great video!
I love this bag. So cute! My favorite use for bulky yarn is to make throws. They turn out so soft and warm and are perfect for those cool days. My fur babies love to cuddle in them also. Life is good.
This project looks like fun! I have never seen this style of crochet before. The funished project looks mire like it was knitted. Thank you so much for the pattern.
I love making anything with bulky yarn. The project moves faster and smoother in my opinion! I Want to try Tunisian with bulky that I have not done yet! Thanks Toni and Lion Brand!
My favorite use for Lion Brand super bulky weight yarn is making slippers. Lion Brand’s super bulky weight is tough, durable, and warm. The slippers make GREAT Christmas gifts - those I make them for love them!!! The Tunisian Crochet Tote Bag looks marvelous, and while I’m relatively new to Tunisian Crochet (have only made dishcloths using the Tunisian simple stitch) I’m looking forward to making this tote. Thanks for sharing this pattern!
I love watching your videos because your voice soothes me and its nice to crochet with somebody once in awhile! My favorite use for bulky yarn is definitely bags. It works up quick and they feel more sturdy!
I love Tunisian crochet for its clean stitches and the fact that you can get a knit style stitch with it is an added bonus. I think my favorite way to use bulky yarn is on slippers. Thank you for this wonderful tote pattern!
My first time using bulky yarn was for a bobble stitch pillow. Thanks for the opportunity to win your book. I would love to learn this version of crocheting. God bless you.
I very love the way you teach how ti knit, and with chunky yard it is encouraging doing things faster, My favorite use i think for cardigan or something like that, scarf etc
I've only ever made some winter hats and scarves with super bulky weight yarn but now my eyes are open! I can make some home decor and some accessories, too. And I'm going to try Tunisian crochet soon, too. Can't wait!
My favorite chunky yarn projects have definitely been making super soft blankets for family and friends as gifts. I've been getting better at amigurumi lately and would LOVE to try amigurumi patterns with chunky yarn.
I love using super bulky yarn for hats! They're so warm, and the thick yarn makes them fast to whip up! Definitely love Wool Ease Thick and Quick for hats.
Wow, what a cute tote bag Toni. Thank you for sharing this pattern from your book. I think my favorite item to make with bulky yarn is probably a scarf. Thank you and good luck to all.
Being visually impaired this project will be definitely challenging but I am excited to give it a try. My favorite way to use bulky weight yarn is in most of my projects due to my visual impairment it makes things so much easier. I like making blankets. 🙂
I love making movie night slipper socks with the lionbrand thick and quick yarn. For Christmas I made 3 pair for gifts. Thanks for the awesome tutorial on your tunisian bag. I love it and your book
I just purchased your book!! I attempted Tunisian 20 years ago and gave up. Found new inspiration from TL and learned the basics from your tutorials. Thank you so much!!
Hi I love all your videos and learnt to Tunisian crochet because of them. I love using bulky yarn to create my nephew who has ASD a heavy blanket that makes him feel safe and able to sleep.
My daughter loves to crochet and has learned a lot from your channel! She has used super bulky yarn for amigurumi projects and loves it because it’s so easy and quick to use.
I love using super bulky yarn for scarves and blankets. (I live in Texas because I have a low tolerance for cold, even Texan winters.) I’ve seen some folks use fabric made with the TC knit stitch as a basis for cross-stitch pieces, and I wanted to give it a whirl. I found your video when looking up TC how-tos and it was the easiest one for me to follow. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
This looks like just the project for me to try my hand at Tunisian! And I love watching you cuz you're so cute and fun. I recommended Lion Thick n Quick to my knitting students back when I have free lessons to knit a chunky hat. We made them for orphans in Ukraine. 5000 in 5 years! How I think about those children now! ❣️
I love this pattern. I have just started crocheting again in the last year and I have not tried Tunisian crochet or bulky yarns yet! This pattern and yarn will be my first try for both. Thanks for another great tutorial Toni!
Hey! My name's James and my favorite use for super bulky yarn is blankets. A couple of months ago, a store was getting rid of a trash bag full of many skeins of Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick Bonus Bundle, so I use 1 skein charcoal and grey marble, and 2 skeins licorice and stormy weather and self designed a chevron blanket that was given to someone in my family recently (I was commissioned to make it for $30). I love Wool Ease Thick and Quick because it's my go to for blankets, scarves, and hats. Recently, I made your Toasted Infinity Scarf in Wool-Ease, which was fun to make. Thank you for making these videos because not many men crochet, especially me being 16 (17 in May), so your videos make me feel included in the community. Also, I never picked up Tunisian crochet until a couple months ago when I discovered your channel and plan to design several projects using Tunisian stitches shown on your channel (which is very cool!).
Hello! I recently started Tunisian crocheting and love the knitted finish it gives!! I love using super bulky weight yarn to make large doll wigs for amigurumis!!
My favorite use for bulky weight yarn is sweaters! They work up so quickly that I don’t have time to run out of motivation, and the bulkiness keeps the wind out much better than thinner yarns¨̮

My first time using bulky yarn was for a bobble stitch pillow. Thanks for the opportunity to win your book. I would love to learn this version of crocheting. God bless you.

My favorite chunky yarn projects have definitely been making super soft blankets for family and friends as gifts. I've been getting better at amigurumi lately and would LOVE to try amigurumi patterns with chunky yarn.
I love the colors and how easy you make Tunisian crochet look. I use thick yarns to make scarfs and or hats. Thanks for all that you do.
My favorite bulky yarn project is to make baskets! I haven't tried Tunisian crochet yet, but bought a (cheap) set of hooks to give it a shot!!!

What a great project! I love making quick projects like baby blanket with bulky yarn!
I love to work up a quick chunky blanket or scarf with bulky yarn! It's satisfying to see it all come together so quickly vs using a thinner yarn.
I love making cowls and scarves with super bulky yarn. So soft and cozy!!
My favorite thing to make out of bulky yarn is baskets. I love this bag, I think it turned out so cute. I am going to give it a try! Thank you!
I have used bulky for a blanket, that was fun as it worked up so quickly. I haven’t tried tunisian crochet yet but am very interested in the process. Thanks for this lovely tutorial.
