Had to downgrade from my dual EVL 12s because I purchased a new car and the 12s just wouldn’t fit inside my new cars (2023 GR86) tiny little trunk. Went with these and they definitely hit harder than I was expecting. More than enough for the average person. Will not disappoint!
@@pn1240my car is tiny. The trunk space for my car is 6.2 cubic feet. LOL! You should be good though. These beat out tough for what they are. And with your car having a bigger trunk. You’ll still have a good amount of trunk space if that matters. These fit between the wheel wells in my trunk on my car(2023 Toyota gr86) so they should fit between the wheel wells in yours as well. So if trunk space matters to you. These work well. Honestly surprised by these subs!

The difference is definitely noticeable. But I was surprised by the triple 8s. There more boomy then the 12s. But the 12s definitely move way more! Everytime people hear the 8s they ask me if I have dual 10s and I’m always like naw three 8s and there like wait what?! And I’m like yeah three 8s. If you want the 12s will probably hit harder. But don’t sleep on the 8s! Even SDR 12s look like they BANG! I just went with the EVLs because the premade box for the SDR 12s is wider than their EVLs premade box. And the SDR box wouldn’t fit between the wheel wells of my previous car. But they look good! So if you want more bass 12s for sure. But if you’re just looking for a good amount of bass the 8s will be fine.

@@maxwellwilson3673 just wait for the bass nob and mine had enough power to make my lights flicker. So have nob all the way up and then adjust the amp to what you think your vehicle can handle in my opinion. The nob works but it has sweet spots of where you can actually tell a difference and you will notice overtime. Don't sit with your car off and bump it because you will just hurt your battery in the long run.
Just got mine and I think there the best sounding system for a day to day if you want them loud they can be loud or if you just want the beat to sound good they can do it overall a great system

2024 dec- this is almost the same vehicle it seems like I’m going to be putting this in but did wish you guys made the triple box empty with the single plug up and not three so buying the bundle then later upgrading the subs but keeping same box
Had the ported 12 version of this enclosure i couldnt get the sub in the center to move the same as the ends and yes it was in phase all wired to 1 channel of my fosgate amp. The output was sub par i actually had better output with just 2 of the subs in a basic prefab. Not sure what was going on but it made me think twice about getting another enclosure in this configuration

I got one in a 2005 saturn ion 3 it fits great, still got room for stuff in back too, so dont worry it will fit, now as far as sound wiring them up today. But I bought the one with the amp and amp wiring kit included.
I have a skar 800.1 pushing 3 12s in a ported box and it slams. But this box with the 8s seems like it'd be a better match.. I love them type of boxes..
I got a setup base on this video and so far i hate it. Does not hit the lows like in the videos and noise/rattling in one side of the box just like some have complained on the web. Are mine defective or what? Getting frustrated but giving it a week to break in and hopefully sounds better.

If you want a Skar amp you could go with the RP-800.1D but it would not be optimal but if you add another subwoofer for a total of 1200 watt rms you could go with the RP-1200.1D for optimal performance

I have these on the RP1500.1D it’s a perfect match for the triple 8’s as they ohm out to 1.33 so the 1500 watt amp can give these subs 1100 watts rms. It sounds amazing in my crown Vic. Only reason I went with these is so they could go on the rear shelf in the trunk of my Vic. It was a snug fit but I still have my trunk space.
Man I'm torn after seeing this. They have these one sale for extended Cyber Monday and also the dual 10" SDR-2X10D4. The triple 8" would fit better in my G37x and I already bought the RP-1200.1D amp. So dual 10"s or the triple 8"s? I'm assuming the dual 10"s would be louder and deeper but I just don't know enough about triple 8" to maybe compete with that. Anyone have thoughts? I'm down to the wire to buy.
If i'm right these would be 2x4 ohm DVC design, so 1.3 ohms series paralleled. it's possible box rise would allow you to run it properly. But this is just speculation, Maybe Skar themselves can tell you, throw them an E-mail or something
Anyone know how these, (or the zxv’s), compare to JL Audio’s 8w3v3 if going with the same type setup? I have been running JL only for last 15yrs and I see Skar all around but have yet to try them yes the setup is cheaper but I am an audiophile who basically has a setup equalizer profile for almost every song I play. 6x9 can be crazy, it's just the amount of them. Depending on what you want. 1 8" 10" and 1 15" is best
