I was watching this very interesting video when, during the coverage of the Tommy Carrolton case, i saw Michelle Heller, the prosecutor who cross-examined Carrolton. I worked with Michelle at the Orange County State Attorney's Office back in the early 80s. Sadly, sweet, kind Michelle passed away some years ago after a long illness. It was great being able to see her again in this video. I thank the author for that opportunity.
@@aristobrat4987 Thank you, Aristobrat! Seeing Michelle brought all that back: There I was again, sitting there joking with Michelle and Mark; listening to defense lawyers pitch their deals; regretting my staying out so late the night before.

Took me off guard as well, but I think that would’ve gotten out anyway (said to friends and family). I think he was being as honest as he could be because he has a solid alibi.
No. That was actually genius on his part. An innocent person will usually cop to hating the victim, where’s guilty people will pretend like they loved them even when all the evidence points to the contrary….

I thank the author for that opportunity.
what a sweet comment. im glad you were happy to see her. i hope you have fond memories of working with her and have many blessings in life.
@@aristobrat4987 Thank you, Aristobrat! Seeing Michelle brought back a rush of memories and senses (the elegant interior of the old courthouse; its bouquet - leather, mature lacquered wood, and time which, together, smelled like the interior of a BMW of all things; the soft murmuring of the crowd of lawyers, court deputies and clerks talking shop and gossiping while we waited for the Judge to enter the courtroom to kick off the show; and, finally, the adrenaline rush when you were suddenly called to trial). Seeing Michelle brought all that back: There I was again, sitting there joking with Michelle and Mark; listening to defense lawyers pitch their deals; regretting my staying out so late the night before.
This might be the nicest comment I’ve ever seen on UA-cam, what a kind soul ☺️
I can't wait to see what shirt you wear for part 3. This one is going to be extremely difficult to top! LOVE IT!! :-)
I had to restart the video because I was so distracted by it and completely ignored what Mike was saying 😅 It's fucking awesome!

Truth!
I love that shirt!!!
I love the shirt!! I don’t really conform to following what fashion dictates, I like what I like and I don’t like being told what to do 🤣
You know it's a police sting when the 'hitman' asks you for fifty or one hundred dollars up front.
Even $500 and then $1500 when it's done is ridiculous, the hitman must be doing at least 2 contract killings a week at those low rates!
😭😭
Maybe they’re on a special sale.😂
i feel like you've developed your craft to the point of perfection. your shirt, your intro, all of it is so entertaining. thanks for going the extra mile always
16:50 The cinematography of the courtroom was amazing. Framing the prosecutor and wife with that moody lighting. Chefs kiss.
I love these stories of people being thwarted, it's still the true crime we crave, but unsuccessfully attempts, and it's so satisfying to watch.
Exactly!!!
"I'm going to meet the target behind the Dairy Queen." is one of the most American sentences ever. 😂
Indeed 😂
It was the Tasty Freeze where I grew up. "Meet me behind the Tasty Freeze " was the challenge. 😃

Hey Mike, I'm an old man now, and never been in trouble with the law. Your channel does a great public service. Anyone watching with two functioning brain cells would know that the old crime doesn't pay.

"Rent A Hit-man" if the shirt wasn't a dead give away, then you would think the "real people" openly admitting they had used the website before and giving their photo's to use, so everyone knew who they were, would be a dead give away. But, I guess stupid isn't a one size fits all! 😅 Another great video, Mike!! 💙💙💙
Bruh, I know right? They're the same people that basically think the second page on Google is the Dark Web

I paused the video to read and was cracking up, 'Thanks Guido!' LOLOLOL
I'm addicted to pigger nussy 🤠
I bet Tommy's wife was lovin' every minute of that death-scene photo shoot.
What’s terrifying is how short their sentences are. If it wasn’t for their stupidity and the kindness of others, they would be actual murder for hire plots. Domestic abuse is a precursor in nearly every single one. All these ‘parents’ concerned about custody battles without giving a thought to what will happen to their kid in the foster care system with one murdered and one incarcerated parent
Cannot believe these people! This video was a lot of research for you! Thanks, Mike!

The best part of the hit man site is that it’s run by a family operation and they have won awards for their work. And the career option forms.
Lost it when Mike was eating popcorn; love your sense of humor! Keep it up!
The photos with the investigators getting ‘beat up’ at the end had me cackling
Please make this a series! I could watch 50 more of these. It's fascinating
Wise words by Mike: "Stupidity Should Never Be Underestimated"!
And neither should the "Dunning-Kruger effect"!
“Two things are infinite, as far as we know - the universe and human stupidity.” -Unknown(but often attributed to Einstein in err).
@Otis B. Driftwood Should we be alarmed if the GOP rebrands themselves as the SSNBU?
@Otis B. Driftwood Hiya, the GOP is the Republican Party of the United States. It's very right wing and want to impose fascist and/or theocratic rule. The SSNBU refers to Mike's comment: Stupidity Should Never Be Underestimated. So I was saying that the Republican Party could easily rebrand themselves with that acromyn! :)
@Otis B. Driftwood There are many aspects of socialism that work very well. Not all, but many.
Hey Mike, are we going to get a part 3? Because Rent A Hitman is still doing its job beautifully.
Mike is legit the only channel whose intro and outro I don’t skip through! Gotta catch how we are going to give it a GOOOO this time, and I can’t miss the “Cause I love ya” (insert world’s cutest wink ever 😉) at the very end. No matter how long it takes for Mike to tease it out making us think he just might not say it, I am absolutely here for it! And the days we are also blessed with the life insurance dance…best days EVER! ❤️
Hubby and I agree. We dance through intro music and both say "love you too mike" at the end. Not as creepy as it sounds, Mike is an important part of our relationship.😉

It's like when they send people with warrants letters telling them they've won a holiday/motorbike/speedboat, then just arrest them when they turn up. Always thought it sounded mean, when I was younger, but I guess it depends on what they've done...

11:40 that's actually pretty good acting. Sometimes the undercover cops try to be too mysterious
So true, a bit of animation, hand waving, and expletives goes a long way towards believability.

The arrogance and entitlement of these sophisticated folks is amazing.
I went into a predominantly white and well off area today. Porsche parked where they WANTED. And the way that middle aged women drive and act with their pets. Daring ANYONE to speak to them. And the overpriced pet store that was full of entitled people with good jobs that keep them away from their pets all week. Gotta spend $12.99 on some decorated dog safe cookies🙄. Not to say all upper class people r entitled, act entitled, or think they r above the law. But it's a stereotype that I would love to be proven wrong about.
@@JNMKlover yep, I live in an area like that and fully agree with you.
When they said his ex-wife had been murdered he literally said "I’m not saying it’s sad because I hated the b***h". So even if "Billy" was a real hitman Tommy was such an absolutely terrible liar that he would have been caught anyways… 🤦♂️🤣
I'm confused - he was telling the truth when he said that. Usually the guilty party would say the victim and them were friends and had no issues, which their friends will say wasn't true. He was very smart for telling the truth about that.
Weird comment - the part that you're saying made him a terrible liar was actually literally the only time he was telling the truth 🤣
I like the multiple stories with the same method. Very interesting. Thanks Mike. Love you too!
Tommy’s fake “hit man” cop is the ONLY undercover hit man cop I’ve ever seen on one of these vids that’s actually believable as a real hit man. Usually they’re so damn fake I can’t believe anyone wouldn’t realize they’re a cop. But that cop was good, he must either be from the streets himself or is a good study.
I somewhat disagree. he talked like a guy from the streets, but he seemed really nervous to me. his nervousness would made me suspicious.
Do you know many hit men?
Most “hit men” are junkies
I feel like he played the ex-con role super well. At an old job, I worked with a guy who did time in San Quentin for drug charges and he explained why ex-prisoners are so nervous dealing with people. In my opinion, based on that, he was believable.
