I had the HP Stream 7. An abomination with Windows, even with Win 10 instead of Win 8. I also have the Dell Venue 8”, workable if you stare closely. Other than for the tech thrill of it, I wouldn’t go any smaller than the Go, and even that bumped from 10.1” to 10.5” in only it’s second year (fortunately body stayed the same). Apple apparently feels like in a tablet that’s not point of sale and Netflix limited, 11” is minimum for something used for typing a lot [Pro 11 and Air 4). And that’s with their UI which was optimized for small screens and not, like Windows, for monster desktop monitors.
iPads are much better … as tablets. But they have some startling limitations. For example, a Windows tablet allows more than one user to share a device. Chromebooks go further, allowing guest mode with zero retention of session settings or data. I’d like to see the Surface Go bump up to an 11.6” screen, finally matching netbooks, which started it all, and they could still keep it small; besides we cut Windows a little slack in terms of size. (The difference in body size isn’t really the key difference between Go and Pro - it’s processor grade, RAM, and ROM - and pricing.) In terms of speed, the Go 3, which I have, is fast enough with only an occasional lag, but the consumer iPad is lightning fast in comparison. That’s Intel’s fault, though, not Microsoft’s. You missed the new HP 11 with N6000. The X will soon be discontinued and compatibility is glitchy - it’s not even Beta ready, but MSFT has to start somewhere. It would make a nice Chromebook, though. ;-)
This Review is nonsense....just repeating advertisement promises and no criticism. The go 3 is a beast of a performer?!?! Everybody on this whole planet criticizes the laggy and bad experience. Just Open a folder takes 2-2 secondsss....
I really wish Microsoft would make a windows tablet 7” or 8” screen

And what programs to you wish to run with that screen size?
Hoping MSFT working with some hardware vendor that could built more affordable device
Saya , 8 inch tablet would be nice under USD250
When the Surface Pro line screens get anti-glare screens then I will consider them.
1080 pixel camera to go with you integrated graphics “card,” no wonder the channel hasn’t caught on with so many mistakes in the first device
