this is honestly best windows ultrabook. I wish samsung would bring out nice colors like this, a haptic touchpad, good front facing speakers, ir sensor, no bottom intake fans because of all ecosystem features, but this is honestly the best thing we've got

Microsoft has come a long way when it comes to the way that they package their products. I have a Surface laptop that I bought back in 2019 and it has been flawless.
As Aaron was showing the different colors for the Surface, I kept thinking it would be cool if Apple offered those same colors for the MacBook Air because they sure look like them! But yes, it’s difficult not to see an “Apple vibe” in these Surface laptops. Even the unboxing is eerily similar. I’m impressed to be honest but nothing from Microsoft will cause me to stray from Apple.
If Lunar Lake is anywhere close to this in battery life and what Intel is saying, then I'm getting Lunar Lake instead for complete app compatibility. These Snapdragons are hardly setting the world alight.

Should be just the higher 84-watt version and of course the standard ELITE version but with higher wattage version of that one. Perhaps after some FIRMWARE updates the performance will be better, but from what I am seeing so far, I am not impressed. LUNAR LAKE definitely won't have any compatibility issues and the battery life more than likely won't be as good, but this time around I believe INTEL will focus a lot on that. Can't wait to see later this year.

Its unbelievable how every aspect from the looks of this laptop to the packaging, or the fact it starts by just opening the lid is a 1 to 1 copy of the Apple Macs
I really like the design, apart from the Microsoft logo on the back which spoils it a bit. Its too large. Put a smaller one in a corner or something. The other thing that really bother me is the lack of any sort of USB on one side.
I'm definitely interested in this device. I honestly prefer macOS, I also use Linux, but I wouldn't mind adding this little beauty to my workflow. That recall thing tho, nope. not a chance. I always enjoy your reviews Aaron, thank you.
Even thought the screen is PWM free (which is good), it looks super reflective thus putting more strain on eye while working (eg coding on dark ide, etc)
Everything from packaging to the device itself, the option for colors, even the labeling at the bottom, the way the logo is milled and polished into the lid… they all obviously want to be a MacBook.

Macbook Air M3 has a SC Geekbench result of cca 3000 points, not 2000 what you state. That is a 50% difference.
Just ran 3DMark (Time Spy) on my Surface Laptop 7 (16GB, 1TB), got a 1674 for graphics and 5296 for Physics Score. Total 3Dmark score of 1865

M3 air geekbench scores slightly higher running on MacOS 15 beta compared to MacOS 14. This holds true for me on iPadOS and iOS 18 betas as well.

As a Mac user I must say I find this laptop to be very very pretty. I prefer the looks over the MacBook.
loos premium as hell and has a good initial price. sadly no front facing speakers.

It is an IPS panel, not OLED, so no PWM is given. You are correct; very reflective.
