Hey Man I learned a neat hack when building Gros Bec. When you do job like epoxying the bow eye you can save yourself a lot of work with some 2 inch Blue Tape.... Once you are satisfied with the amount of thickened epoxy you've applied, tape over all of the epoxy with blue masking tape. You can smooth out all of the lumps and when the expoy is cured the next day the tape will pull right off!!!!!
@@restrothunderroad I have a wee concern that the oak dowel isn't long enough to spread the load into the hull, and probably would have put a vee shaped piece between it and the bow, and bonding with mat to each side of the hull at least 6 inches back. But I don't know the weight of the boat and everything in it.

Howdy great restore on sailboat my son lived in key west on a 46 ft sailboat he about 8 months ago sailed to St. Petersburg Florida he lives there now on a slip in key west he lived off grid on an anchor ball . He’s not on utube but he works as a hotel maintenance man he loves his life style ‘ your talented always watching

I like that! I'm not happy with the way it turned out, will need to go back and do a little fairing.
