In some ways it seems like a long-distance relationship, unless you give up solo sailing. I'm in a long-distance relationship with a woman in France and have had others. It's not easy and both people have to have a certain mindset. I think most people can't handle a relationship like that. Nicole, you're smart to keep your boat and to keep your longer-term plans in mind. Love big and love fearlessly. All love affairs hurt deeply when they conclude, so do not let fear of that prevent you from letting someone in your heart. You'll go faster and farther and have a deeper, richer experience if you just open up the throttle and let it rip!
My man... She is trying to teach you a lesson you need to learn ASAP. And good on her for being able to state her needs so plainly... It's not about solving the problem. It's about acknowledging and making her feel heard. Men are naturally problem solvers when women don't always want that. Congratulation on you both. Just to share from my life experience and learning. Biggest problem most people have in relationships is false expectations. People grew up in different households and have certain ways of doing things and they each thinking that is the normal way. When couple comes together, they are from different households and upbringing. There can only be an expectation if both agreed to a decision or plan. If there was no agreement and the other assume and expected something from their partner, then that is a false expectation because neither agreed to the decision or plan. It really helps with all expectations are agreed and understanding is needed at times if expectation could not be met. Being respectable and kind to each other is number one. Practise makes it easier. Just gotta keep trying to be the person you can be for yourself. If you're happy and love yourself then it is , easier to love another. Or help each other towards that goal. Enjoy your adventure together.

I am currently in Georgia avoiding hurricanes & provisioning up for this winter exploring Bahamas, last year I explored Martinique/Grenada and it was okay but too many boat issues that I might have right now. I am traveling solo (as far as I know so far). I was watching to consider what to bring.
Ah how cute. I hope to find this one day. Dan. I am on a 37ft full electric monohull, with electric dinghy. I've been in the Med, now Atlantic Spain, though plan to cross to Caribbean next Dec. So was interested to hear you say about going electric on the dinghy as wasn't sure how well it would work in the Carib? I have an epropulsion Spirit, which is fantastic! Also i did y electric conversion on my own from building the bats to sourcing the motor and all electrics. If you have any questions/ideas you want to bounce, don't hesitate to reach out.

A little advice… she doesn’t want you to solve every problem, sometimes she just wants to know that you hear her, I know it’s our nature, but sometimes you have to suppress that. And buy that girl a pretty little dress, 👗 Make her feel special, her happiness will be reflected back onto you. Best of luck to you both.
Regardless of who cooked it, If a man eats the last of the chicken juice whilst the woman spent her day working on her own floating house in preparation for a 100 day voyage with the same man who finished off her growling tummy waiting dinner time sustenance which clearly she looked forward to, and with no apparant understanding by the man of the selfish lack of forethought to his famished lady who then without even a kind apology instead tries to placate his lady with brisket juices is a man who is not worthy of her chicken juices to begin with. Especially, if her love language is a safe and inviting bedtime cuddle, and the man doesn't enjoy reciprocating with his lovely lady, either.
When you clear into the bahamas if you are persistent they’ll stamp you in for 120 days (kind of have to beg for it)! They just raised the cost of visa extensions to 200$.
Congratulations on this development, safe travels and smooth sailing for the 100 day Waterworld challenge, and most importantly: I didn't call it, exactly, but I totally saw this one coming. Also, were you to build this dual-hull from monohulls, for sailing that's a no go, but I don't see it being problematic if you, say, built a bridge between the two using the masts, complete with both cockpits being a pilothouse, what I would recommend is: Buy a new sailboat between the two of you, then build it out of your old boats. outfit their motors so they can move at a consistent speed, then just build a bridge/pilothouse between the cockpits, swim platform. For sails this'd be absolutely batshit insane, but for an electric boat? Worst case scenario, you can undo the damage and sell the boats. Catch is, you need one at each helm and have to coordinate your every move, unless you're particularly inventive. I am NOT a shipwright, take this comment as you will. (The asymmetry between them may also make it look like a starship. Having one at each helm will make it more immersive. PS: it also features symbolism of what brought you guys together, and that's supposed to be the most important part of this suggestion.)

I am currently in Georgia avoiding hurricanes & provisioning up for this winter exploring Bahamas, last year I explored Martinique/Grenada and it was okay but too many boat issues that I might have right now. I am traveling solo (as far as I know so far). I was watching to consider what to bring.

Ah how cute. I hope to find this one day. Dan. I am on a 37ft full electric monohull, with electric dinghy. I've been in the Med, now Atlantic Spain, though plan to cross to Caribbean next Dec. So was interested to hear you say about going electric on the dinghy as wasn't sure how well it would work in the Carib? I have an epropulsion Spirit, which is fantastic! Also i did y electric conversion on my own from building the bats to sourcing the motor and all electrics. If you have any questions/ideas you want to bounce, don't hesitate to reach out.

A little advice… she doesn’t want you to solve every problem, sometimes she just wants to know that you hear her, I know it’s our nature, but sometimes you have to suppress that. Regardless of who cooked it, If a man eats the last of the chicken juice whilst the woman spent her day working on her own floating house in preparation for a 100 day voyage with the same man who finished off her growling tummy waiting dinner time sustenance which clearly she looked forward to, and with no apparant understanding by the man of the selfish lack of forethought to his famished lady who then without even a kind apology instead tries to placate his lady with brisket juices is a man who is not worthy of her chicken juices to begin with. Especially, if her love language is a safe and inviting bedtime cuddle, and the man doesn't enjoy reciprocating with his lovely lady, either.

When you clear into the bahamas if you are persistent they’ll stamp you in for 120 days (kind of have to beg for it)! They just raised the cost of visa extensions to 200$.

Congratulations on this development, safe travels and smooth sailing for the 100 day Waterworld challenge, and most importantly: I didn't call it, exactly, but I totally saw this one coming.
Also, were you to build this dual-hull from monohulls, for sailing that's a no go, but I don't see it being problematic if you, say, built a bridge between the two using the masts, complete with both cockpits being a pilothouse, what I would recommend is:
Buy a new sailboat between the two of you, then build it out of your old boats. outfit their motors so they can move at a consistent speed, then just build a bridge/pilothouse between the cockpits, swim platform. For sails this'd be absolutely batshit insane, but for an electric boat? Worst case scenario, you can undo the damage and sell the boats. Catch is, you need one at each helm and have to coordinate your every move, unless you're particularly inventive. I am NOT a shipwright, take this comment as you will.
(The asymmetry between them may also make it look like a starship. Having one at each helm will make it more immersive. PS: it also features symbolism of what brought you guys together, and that's supposed to be the most important part of this suggestion.)
