Had the MX version in Yellow first bike Loved it ran the piss out of it there was no stopping it.

I’m from that era 😉, as far as I remember ATF is standard. The two stroke oil fuel mix takes care of the engine lube and the ATF is for the gearbox and clutch. It is worth confirming this.

Was the bike owned by a kid, or a mechanic wannabe? Tranny fluid in the crankcase, timing off by 180°, no airfilter..😂 Somebody either didn't want to spend money, or didn't have money. Glad you're putting it back together right! Love what you're doing 😊

Nice work! The oil in the transmission looks like ATF oil. It´s a bit thin but can make the gears and clutch work smoother. I have tried it with good result in several motocross bikes.

Nice job, once again you make it look so easy to work, on anything. Once you fixed the spring one kick and it fired up. It seems like last winter since I have watched you work on a rebuild something other than working on your boats. I think Jason will need some help on his boat rebuild. I’d love to hear your thoughts on why you choose to go certain route. More explaining what you’re doing and why. I guess it’s more work. I just got my first boat a hunter 18.5. It’s not as big a project as 11 but I have a few maintenance items to do as far as I can tell.( I come from a mariner family but they abandoned sail couple generations ago lol) I just jumped into buying old boat after sailing couple years with buddies. The videos are a big help. Also nice work !

if you seal forward bunks always have a good size rotary sealed screw inspection and ventilation cover to allow air access when not sailing so no mold and rot develops inside areas.

What type of wood did you use to replace the old wood? White oak?

Cotter pin/key...😅 I was glad to see you break in to the motor, and that it really was in great shape. Personally, I would've changed out a couple of main gaskets, and the shaft seal, but it shouldn't be a problem to do so in the future. Love what you're doing sir, 😊

Living up in NH many of us make it through the winters watching warm videos from TX and AZ. What a freak week of weather its been. You have more snow that I currently do.

What am I missing here, this boat does not look like it had anything done to it and it needs updated cause it’s not in good shape
