Just wanted to add a couple things; you can use the flathead in the tool kit (where you got the socket wrench from) to easily pull up the rubber piece instead of a key. And more importantly, you do not need to hold this in place, you turn it clockwise and then push down and it will lock into place. Thanks for the video, I was reading about it in the manual and wanted to see it in action.
Ah thank you. That is good to know. I will pin this comment so everyone has a bit more information. I hope that you don't have the misfortune of ever having to use the tool!
Just a question. If a car was on a state of gearbox malfunction and recovery team did this hack to be able to tow the car, will it cause/possibly cause any further damage to the gearbox? Please answer. Thanks and more power to you.
Thanks mate. I only had it 2/3 years and had no problems so I would say yes. But I don’t really know if you’re talking about older ones or higher mileage ones!

Hi Israel, sorry for the slow reply. I don't think so as it complete disengages the box. But I'm not 100% sure, best to check with a mechanic!
nice car bro.... what do you think about your gearbox S-tronic 7??? can do you say that it's reliable???
Thanks mate. I only had it 2/3 years and had no problems so I would say yes. But I don’t really know if you’re talking about older ones or higher mileage ones!
Hey, How after take it out this handle or switch back to park mode? Thankyouu😊
Hi Erika, sorry for the slow reply. I think as soon as you take it out it goes back to normal
Is there anyway to do this without the red tool ??
I think if you could put something in the whole that would be able to turn the mechanism then I don’t see why not
Nice and strong girl 😊
