Just the most practical car I've ever owned - I do a lot of mileage all over the UK and often work from the car with very early starts and late finishes........ the Xsara Picasso enabled me to: travel in comfort, get great mpg from it's simple 2.0hdi engine, work - or eat - using the seat back tables - and remove the rear seats for totally flat sleeping accommodation with easy acess from the front due to no central console.......so - transport, office, cafe and hotel all in one vehicle!!! Even better I bought it for £600 and took it up to 280,000 miles with very little expense!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you can also pull the rear seats forward if you just want to extend the boot space without putting the seats down.

Your better off with a Ford Mondeo. GM Europe failed for a reason.

This is my Dads car! He’ll be thrilled when he sees this video!! It’s actually an Alvis Firefly “special” meaning it started life as 4 seater tourer car. It’s now got an Alvis “Speed 25” 3.75 litre straight six competition engine developing over 120bhp. This actual car was also driven at one point by “Dixon of Dock Green” drove in the TV series which aired in the mid 1950’s, back when it was a salon of course!

Nice! - I bought (new) a 2018 370Z Nismo and it just kicks arse. Black with red trim and I installed Stillen Gen 3 long tubes with the new K&N Extreme Flow (RX-4730XD) along with AAM resonated cat deletes and a performance re-tune. When I lose the arse end, she always steers straight! Love it.

My friend just bought a 2005 Range Rover Vogue L322 today with the same engine as the one featured in this video, a TD6 3.0 Litre BMW M57 (D30). First stop is the Shell petrol station to put in a full tank of V-Power Diesel, then head to a hand car wash to detail it, and then next week off to a Range Rover specialist to have it fully serviced. Your video was quite good, thanks for uploading it.

1 Common issue on these is glow plugs, get engine hot and spray WD-40 on glow plugs everyday for weeks on end. They will come out super easy. Don't force them they will break. 8nm on a torque wrench in reverse.

I have an SRI estate. Ive had it for 7 years and its the best car i've ever had. Not a single thing has gone wrong with it and its a real workhorse. Passed MOT every time without issues. I do all the service myself, very easy to do and cheap,

Did you say BMW TDV6 engine? BMW never made one. I think you mean TD6 (Straight Six) which is what I have. I like your enthusiasm but I think we all know how sumptuous and smooth they are to drive: you rather glossed over the details most potential buyers are interested in.. the reliability and known mechanical issues. For that you need to live with the car for more than a week! The obvious one is the gearbox, which is known to be an issue (I had to replace mine.) The trick is to flush and replace the gearbox oil periodically, to extend its life (ignore the “sealed for life” nonsense.) Air suspension is another… grit accumulates in the creases of the “air bags” when they are slack, and gradually grinds away at the surface of the rubber when the bags are inflated/deflated. I had to replace the front both sides. The trick is to use the air suspension sparingly and/or give those parts a good blast with a jet wash from below from time to time. Mine gets seam cleaned annually. The 3.0 TD6 gets a bit of a bad press for being “underpowered” compared with the later TDV8 3.6 & 4.4 but in reality it is perfectly adequate for you’re not a racer even if it’s a little noisier.More importantly, the TD6 is actually more reliable and durable; the TDV8 has known issues with the turbo which can spell serious trouble down the line. The mechanic at my local dealership tells me he sees far more TDV8s coming into the shop with mechanical problems of this nature than he does the TD6, despite the TD6s being older.

I have an SRI 160 BHP DIesal CDTi and ive had it for 7 years. If you want a stiffer ride, better handling all you have to do is change the wheels. I had the same wheels as your car and found the ride smooth but spongy and as it's the SRI model I thought it should handle better so I bought a set of atomic alloys (Vauxhall Insignia sports alloys) and the ride improved immensely!

I've had two of them. A brand new 2004 1.6HDI, full specs leather interior bla, bla, bla. And a few years ago I've got a 2007v 1.6 petrol, base specs. Absolutely brilliant piece of machinery! A real Citroen all the way. All with an excellent value for money balance. On this video the guy didn't even scratch the surface of the practicality bits built into this amazing design. Word of caution. Earlier models I believe until 2007. Don't have DPF, one less headache to deal with. And the battery access, under the seat, is still simple and easy with two simple levers. After that it's bolted in place!!! Due to more stupid "legislation". All in all making it a "pain in the a" to reach the battery! Two details I find rather important.

my insignia, cost me £5,000 on finance, paid it off early and soon as i had a week later everything went wrong, front shockers collasped, then the low oil pressure started showing on dash, n dual mass making a racket, so i had new oil pump n dual mass n clutch, then starter failed with alternator, timing belt n service, 4 tyres n lastly new glowplugs (non sensored) cost me in total a further £3,500, but now i think top suspension bushes are gone as steering goes stiff when i brake and turn the steering
