There isn't a UA-camr out that puts out more content! I swear it seems like there is a video every day! Keep up the good work!
Thank you!
I guess matt on carwow isnt a youtuber but a tuberyou cause they post drag races everyday and other car related content😂😂😍😍😍
Had a 2014 manual S5 and now a 2015 RS5 , the RS5 is a little slower but man nothing puts a bigger smile on your face than having a high revving v8.
I’m calling bullshit ! You claim to own an rs5 but think it’s a 7 spd dsg ! Lol 🤡🤡
@@dguarino1974 it is a 7speed DSG. DL 501.
Clearly shows you’re the one that’s never had an rs5😂
@@dguarino1974 I own a 7 spd dsg RS5......Is that bullshit too?
An RS5 is slower than an S5, clearly you’re joking or something is wrong with you
You guys are wrong for bringing a stage 2 s5 monster to run against a stock rs5 🤣🤣
Ong😭 humiliated the poor thing with that beast
I’m assuming that’s the 3.0T (supercharged, not the v8) S5….
The issue is that the B8.5 RS5 being N/A… there’s not much headroom for tuning. If it were a TT, it be a different story.
@@mizaqenyad4269 drive both and u will wanna throw that s5 in a crusher the sound is unbearable on this platform when u take cats off the rs5 is a pleasure and with tuning u get about 40-50 hp (rs5 was really muted down by the factory)
@@draggy6544 Its extremely easy to get a nice exhaust note out of a catless 3.0t, you just have to be willing to do the research, and spend a little extra money. Im sure the RS5 is an extremely nice car to drive too. That specific 4.2 it has is very special. but honestly its performance is lacking compared to even a lightly tuned S5. I also love the supercharger whine, and the way the properly set up catless V6 sounds like a flat 6 at high RPMs. Frankly though, if i had the money for an RS5, id simply buy a porsche. For where im at financially, the S5 was the best bang for my buck. for less than 20k i got extremely loud supercharger noises, a dct, an awd system capable of sending 85% of the power to the rear through a torque vectoring diff, and best of all, a super common platform with lots of DIY maintenance & repair support, as well as aftermarket support.
@@mizaqenyad4269since youre so knowledgeable about the platform how do you get a nice sound out of a cat-less system?
The rs5 did really well in the roll.
The 4.2L RS5 has more torque and power output at higher revs, so this would make sense given that she begins to redline at 8,200 RPM, and at just 30mph you could be in 2nd, which would mean she's probably at about 3.5-4k RPM so when you step on it you're basically just entering the power zone.
Really interesting given that the heavily modded S5 was 500+ BHP. It just goes to show numbers are not everything.
Great video! The S5 needs to get that exhaust looked at. Thanks for the content
😂😂😂 that black smoke was not a good look
That exhaust sound was not good AT ALL. 👎
@@richardchavez1795 with test pipes the 3.0 supercharged motor tends to sound pretty horrible, but this guy seemingly has some sort of shitty burble/pop tune or is running VERY VERY rich
Yeah man... this one sounds awful...
Most supercharged audi 3.0t sound like shit. But with some select mods you can make it sound decent
2010 s5 dual pulley owner...can confirm! searching for a fair priced B9 s5 now...onto bigger and better things!
That S5 makes the most terrifying sound when let off the throttle
Not in a good way either haha the crackles are wayyy over the top.
Compared to a GTI Golf -yes. Not compared to a 4.2L V8 weapon in the RS5. You're delusional if you think the S5 sounded better.
Even if you say they're on par... the S5 is heavily modded.
@@darkspeed62 i have driven an s4 with similar mods my family dealership had for resale honestly its fast BUT the sound is awful. Its just over the top load and sounds awful especially at 2-3k rpm its unbearable. Honestly was kinda embarrassed to drive that thing just cruising on the highway sounding like ass it ruins the whole experience
Annoying*
@@darkspeed62the s5 isn’t HEAVILY modded at all, it’s lightly modded and has a plug in flash tune
I've got a tuned B8 RS5...the bodywork on the RS5 😍 and engine note. But a tuned S5 will dance over it all day everyday.
Engine note makes up for it all day.

Thank you
The roll was closer than I expected 🤷🏽♂️
Ohhhh God those sounded soo sweet!
2014 S5 full bolt on and e40, runs 10.8 in the quarter. Its a real treat gapping newer camaros and mustangs
I love this channel it's has great car content, by guys who really ain't car guys all the way. So this is like you're every day joe racing 🏁
The torque difference is all that mattered here for the dig.
This sounded like the OG intro music 🔥
Both cars sounded and performed great!
very nice video, can you find a034 tuned s5 an race it vs f80 M3/M4? tnx
Please do stock Jetta GLI vs tuned Jetta GLI
Just bought a 13 S5 stage 2, 560 horse. It’s scary scary fast
Both sound amazing
I would love to see the black tuned Q60 (you've had previously on here) vs the tuned s5 you have here. 🔥
I'd love that myself
👀
@@CheatCodeG80 👀
Yeahhh
Q60 probably faster on a roll and s5 on digs, I got some videos on my channel just depends on mods and tune
Being honest to you guys. I could not care less which car is faster as long as its fun to drive.
I always dream about 700-800 HP tuned Cars like a RS6 V10, RS6 C7, M4 and so on ...
but in the end all you have is numbers on some paper. You can't have fun with that massive hp numbers. Most of the time im in traffic, or landroad driving or simply want to chill.
I live in Germany and i have a unrestricted autobahn 9 mins from here that i can drive as often as i want. But all that high hp numbers and acceleration is not worth the trouble that it creates with engine wear. The running cost is enourmous if something breaks. And im always chained on the speed limit if i drive to regular places i visit. Always wanting to push the car.
Thats why i went with the RS5 instead of a 7 year more modern, faster and more reliable V6/R6/i4 ... its the driving feel thats important to me. if its fun to drive the car daily without speeding like crazy, its what i want.
The sound of that rs5🤤🤤
This is more like it!
Can we please see more Audi content like this!!!! Tuned Audi's etc
@40 Roller 🤣but it's literally whatever he can get his hands on to make content and his audience is one's they can only afford Kia 🤣🤣
Let's go!!!!!
jeeeezus abusing it with that neutral drop
That S5 could be quicker than a bugatti, I'd still rather have the RS5 anyday.
That S5 is gorgeous
It's no 4.2 L v8 though is it! Taking that any day of the week.
Saludos. Good 🏁 🏎 race
😳 That S5 sounds.... 😼😎......but I love the RS5 🌹❤️
Can you do a Honda Civic type r vs a accura tlx type s?
Nothing like a high reving v8 sound. Ill take the Rs5 any day over any stage s5
you got to race the newest generation s5 sportback vs the is500
So no one saw the almost 100 hp and 150 lb ft of torque difference and thought “there’s an obvious winner here, maybe a more competitive race would make for better content”. No? Okay just me.
here you can see the difference, stop crying
I feel like the S5 on 91/93 would have been a better race, on E40 they aren't even in the same ballpark
I feel it’s more so to show the difference just enjoy the video 👍🏾
@@gabrielcumbie8611 I own the S5, i’m on a 91 map
@@alejandroramirez-iv7rw it says in the video 540 hp which through IE is on E40, 450 hp on 91, unless you are running meth/ported charger in that case I could see 500 hp, saying that, either way the 3.0t would win, makes more torque everywhere, I have a S5 as well and these cars are boat loads of fun with the whining and crackles!
Don't care who came first both really cool cars I bet both drivers would be smiling
Wish it was a newer RS5
This is one of the best sounding Audi's, let alone V8. I wouldn't have wanted this race any other way, just for hearing the RS5
@@gorageelsewhere1946 Exactly, if you want a V8 in a affordable coupe theres only E92 M3, C63 W204 / W205 and RS5, Camaro and Mustang. Nothing else in Europe.
You buy the car for the engine and not for the old chassis or performance. I was thinking if i should get a 2015 M4, because i love the looks and its more modern. But hell if you start up a v8 in the morning its always something else.
Do the v8 version of the s5
Now do the b9 s5 and b9 rs5
This makes me miss my B8.5 S5!
The v6 sounds like two pissed off honda engines 😂
Any of you B9 Audi owners looking for an OBD11 or a winter tire/wheel setup? 😁
No soft limiter on an AUDI is ALWAYS GREAT!!!
That s5 is fast tuned wow I’d like to see it go against a 340i
Stock 340i is an easy win for the s5. Tuned? Dunno
@@x7N1NJ47x the s5 should take a 340i but an m340i wrecks the s5.
@@AABradyKK that's bsaically what im getting at. an m340i is going to outperform a regular 340i, and will take an S5 with stride
@@x7N1NJ47x 100% and I'm an S5 owner lol
What's common issues for S5?
Most people get the b8.5 S5 and tune it. Most of the stage 1 tunes are right at a stock b8.5 RS5 performance. Great option if your looking for power or performance over the RS.
However the S5 always lack that feel of an RS tuned gearbox. It just feels so different when you shift. That tuned S5 feels fast, but the RS5 just feels more powerful.
@@NBASFAN agreed. That na v8 just has, a "feeling" to it.
Most people do that for cost reasons. However, the B8.5 RS5 is pretty cheap for what you get in terms of power these days. The naturally aspirated 4.2 isn't very tunable so I can see why people get the S5. With the B9 platform, most people get the S5 and tune it,a s the RS5 is about 10k more for .5 of a second more acceleration and 100 more BHP.
@@darkspeed62 ist not about the speed with the rs5 the power is far more usable u can actually build the revs and go through the gears i had a tuned s4 (not as crazy as this s5) and the thing was too fast to be fun on the roads without doing criminal speeds
@@NBASFAN They both have the same gearbox
Should have just been a Stage 1 S5 or single pulley at the most for better races.
To bad the rs5 didn't have the supercharger upgrade that would have been a good show
Just put a jhm stage 2 tune and that car is amazing the s5 might be fast but from personal experience i can tell you the noise is unbearable
The RS5 doesn’t have a supercharger, it’s naturally aspirated

Coulda told u this was gonna happen lol dual pulley ftw

Thanks Brother Sam
wow, how surprising that a tuned car with more power is faster O_O
This is comparing 335i vs m3
The S5 sounds like 💩😂 but it looks so good
Awesome, Audi wins
That roll was still pretty close.
Nice race! I actually thought the S5 would win by a larger margin. Stock B9/9.5 RS5 beats that S5.
So a rs5 beats a s5 wbo knew
@@carlito_148 I’m referring to a stock RS5 vs the specific tuned S5 in this video.
I also expected the S5 to gap the RS5 by more because of added HP. This show that the B8 RS5 is still a beast.
Stop it ... I have a tuned S5 w a pipe and IC and I have actually stopped racing RS5s ...as A matter a fact my friend has a 2021 stock RS5 and when we run its comical ... no a new stock Rs5 is not even coming Close and mine is a 19 S5...
@@KAZALO9 would you not agree that in this video, that B8 RS5 didn’t lose by all that much? And would you also not agree that a B9 RS5 is considerably quicker than a B8 RS5? Your S5 could very well be faster than this specific S5 in the video. All of what I just said can be true at the same time.
why bring a car thats making a 100 more hp and almost 200 ft lbs torque over a stock car?
Price probably the cost of the rs5 vs the s5 with mods is still higher but gets out performed
S5 sounds unreal
A dual pulley S5 should have pulled harder on the RS5. I was surprised the RS5 from a roll
Redlines at 8500 u just have more of usable power band
I sure wouldn’t want to be in that S5 when the engine grenades. 😟
Jeremy clarkson clearly stated that the audi 4.2 v8 is the among the 3 best engines ever made. The other 2 are alfa v6 and lexus v10. Someone who argues is irrelevant.
I can't decide which one sounds the best.
I swear the white car is my old car . I feel bad for the guy after me
what makes you say it’s your old car
Audi RS5 vs S5 2 car or Tfsi Engine Yes
Man love the rs4 and rs5 don’t love their 4000lbs . Looking into getting a b7 rs4 and just hold it
that might explain the snail-like starts
That S5 can move
S5s allllll day
OMG that S5 sound 💦
That crooked S5 rear badge is messing with my OCD.
that s5 sounds like a honda civic ricer.
Whenever you have tuned cars, can you mention which fuel they are using? It's rather imperative. A tuned car on 91 wouldn't be in the same zip code as the exact same car on E85. I don't know what fuel you have access to as well so it's all a major question mark. Just an idea.
Title is misleading, S5 has a lot more than a tune lol I think they consider that a stage 2+ dual pulley and throttle body upgrade along with ecu+tcu tune
Stage 2 dual pulley 91 map, can test pipes, cts dp, awe touring exhaust, ecu tcu stage 2 from ie, heat exchanger, ca intake
1:08 .. RIP Earphone users .....
And that is exactly why the extra 20k for an RS is just stupid, 5k into an S5 and that's what happens
Tuned s5 is only faster till the rs5 is tuned I own stock s5 b9 and have no intention of tuning it bought it for the balance of power to fuel consumption and while tuning might be fun I prefer not to have to run to petrol station every journey
S5 claimed E40 numbers, but did not pull like it was on E40..🤔
those are crank numbers
@@alejandroramirez-iv7rw I’m very familiar with the platform, it’s nearly impossible to make 540whp without the CREC engine and the dual hp fuel pumps.

In what world
@034Motorsport would of sounded better on that S5 🙃
4.2L v8 with 317ft lbs of torque??
It revs out to 8000
@@brockdez1259 8500 actually, and it sounds glorious. I don't notice the low torque much in daily driving.
@@DESTcmndr I notice it heavily coming from 360 HP / 800nm 3.0 TDI A5. You don't feel the acceleration at all, it feels so damn slow (in reality the car is as fast as it should be for 450 hp). You just don't feel it in your seat. Also its not fun to kickdown from 60 km/h. Nothing happens the first 2 secs till it reaches 6k rpm.
@@DarkSession6208 My last car was a 2015 A3 2.0T Quattro, tuned to 316 HP and 381 ft-lbs. Still don't really miss the torque. This thing never feels slow to me, and it's willingness to rev means you're in the power quickly anyway.
well that wasn't obvious,,, supercharge or turbo the rs5 might get a different result
an m performance bmw would walk both of them lol that said, the rs5 is intended to be engaging and special, not a numbers machine. a bit like the LC500 in that way. last of a dying breed perfect before it's gone, and not focused on just numbers
The S5 had 100hp on the RS5. Next video - Tyson Fury Vs Floyd Mayweather.
Tuned, NEWER AND FAR more power? How’s that even a competition?
Even though the S5 "newer" they're still both the b8.5 chasis. The only difference performance wise is v6 SC (this particular one tuned) vs V8. Think the main point here is showing the potential of the S5 vs RS5 of that gen.
I have a bunch of cars in my personal and company fleet and also access to friend's cars etc.
Earlier this year I had the budget to trade-in several vehicles to buy a brand new RS4/5/6/7 or even a decently priced used supercar. The thing is I preferred superchargers over turbos and love manual NA cars but also have three kids so a 2 seater wasn't practical and I hate SUVs.
I ended up with a 2016 S5 Fastback with 4 doors and a practical boot which is obviously supercharged and 7 speed S-tronic which received a full custom exhaust and Stage 1 ecu/tcu tune.
I also got a 2007 B7 RS4 which is obviously manual and relatively practical. The tune stock but I put on a Milltek catback and did a carbon clean.
The result? Best of Both worlds really. Drive the RS4 when i feel like i want some more analog and raw manual V8 fun and daily drive the S5 which is faster when I need it to be.
Would've loved a B8/8.5 RS5 but pity they only came as a two door option.....
Need to have owmers takeal a couple minutes and clean their car ahead of racing. Doesn’t change results, but looks good for the channel.
It's a cute video don't really know what the point of it is? A older RS5 is slower then a tuned S5. Don't really think we needed video proof for that.
Stock Audi RS vehicles are always better than the A or S models. When they are tuned they may be able to beat a stock RS model, but they will never be able to BE an RS model.
No doubt I would take the RS5 all day but only with that engine
You know, cuzzyy!
Roll races are hella diff. Cars stick to you for much longer.
Like from a dig a bmw 335i can smoke my lil Subaru outback 3.0r.
When we raced from 80mph. He could not pull away. He pulled away after 100mph but not very fast.
Same thing with slower cars. I beat them off the line. But if we race a top. They are much harder to gap.
Dig races are better. They require more skill than just power.
I have extensive experience with the 3.0 engine that s5 will be deafening if u say commute 20 miles on the highway it might sound decent up top on the cam but trust me its just awful
Looks like s5 v6 wasnt on e85 or even on a higher pump gas tune definitely not in the 500+ bhp or else he would of pulled hard on the rs5 on the roll.
Stock to Stock ... RS would eat that S
450 vs 550. Not a fair race..
