There’s a study that showed a group of people who thought two glasses of wine from the same bottle were two completely different wines because they were served at different temperatures. Could you test with Peter to see if this study is true? Or maybe it’s made up by the newspaper?
It would have to be blindfolded. Too weird to be served a chilled red or a room temperature white. That would set off all the alarm bells! That's even one aspect of this game that they didn't really focus on. You wouldn't normally drink a white unchilled, so just being warm probably helped the Chardonnay camouflage a bit more as a red.
Wine should really be served at the proper temperature as with anything else. You don’t learn the flavors of wine served at wrong temperatures. You shouldn’t drink it at those temperatures either. Thus it’s not very identifiable. The study is a bit pointless, IMO.
@Nyx Hypnos Correct, cold actually dulls your taste buds. This is why the same ice cream whent is much sweeter tasting than ice cream out of the freezer.

I love listening to experts no matter in what field since I learn so much. If I would have tested it my self I would most likely been fooled even though I hate white wine and love red, I would just have guessed it was a tasteless red one. The tannin and the body is what I love from the red. I'm a bartender (with around 140 bottles of spirits in my own bar once upon a time) but definitely not a sommelier. I personally really like the Sangiovese grape but this channel that I just found is great for exploring new areas for me. I like to make my own fruit wine (not on grapes as I like in cold Sweden) and it is fascinating to listen to an expert exploring taste, smell and looks. Will use this knowledge this year when I make my next batch. This channel was an inst-sub! Thanks to this insight I will make 4 or 5 batches and mix the result instead of mixing my fruit and berries from the beginning. I have been an expensive Scotch guy my self but I see that it is time to explore the expensive wine side now. Trying to grow grapes too but they grow so slow here. Absolutely love the chemistry between you guys. Envious of the great times you have!

짬과 재능의 콜라보..
Peter totally makes the channel! Love him. ! Both of you are the best like Batman and robin hehehe
I absolutely adore you guys! I envy Peter’s knowledge. All the wine I drink; I don’t know shiggity!!! 😂😂😂
You two are awesome!!
Ava winery
hii, I just discovered your chanel and I would recommend you to taste Croatian wines from Dalmatia like the Plavac Mali or Dingač which is growing popularity in europe in recent year's.
What Peter has done in this video shows how much he knows it’s absolutely amazing! What an impressive man and how lucky you must be to have him as a mentor! I would pay big money to have him as a teacher

That man is stellar with his observation. He's not fooled by his eyes or or his nose.. he is all about taste with everything else adding up the rest of the picture, but you can't fool this man... he's insanely good.
Wine Master 5 seconds into inspection: *This colour is suspicious...*
wineking: *nervous sweating*
Incredible. I’m not surprised at all. Peter spent 3 decades of his life DEDICATED to the craft. How can someone not get good at it with so much work put in? Of course he would be able tell that its off! Impressive.
Mastery requires hustle. Keep at it champs.
he's kinda old and is wearing glasses but it still took only a glance to spot something's off.
Love your energy and the way you two compliment each other so well. After watching your channel for a week i find myself buying a lot of Bordeaux's and trying to sit there and figure out the tastes like i know something 🤣😂.
피터님이 고민하실정도면..저같은사람은 그냥 맛있으면 맛있게먹으면 되겟군요 ㅎㅎ 치얼스
Randomly stumbled upon your channel and I'm so glad I did. Peter is such an interesting fellow.
