Correction - Adrenaline Rush gives you 10% of health not 1%. It always did, just the tooltip was wrong, now its updated and i think its WAY more usefoul than other two. Youwill be finishing A LOT of Majoris+ and this let me go entire games without a stim used
The combat knife is even better than you think it seems, after playing sniper I've realised just how good it is at literally everything. It DOES have sweeping attacks, doing a heavy changes your melee stance to sweeps and they knock down minors on almost every single melee swipe for a gunstrike. It's insane.
For reals. I do this with my sniper assassin build for minoris (especially chaos minions). Hold heavy attack > gun strike (which counts as a headshot kill for team perk renewal). So a bunch of the tzangors that come up on me, i just heavy attack > gun strike spam which gives me 1 armor and some health. It's not as fast as just melta-ing them but for sniper its great because you can essentially just tank them all this way.
I am really happy with the idea of a YT creator community where folks flow to a game, enjoy it, discuss and optimize it, and then move on to something fresh when each game's time naturally winds down. Seems more healthy than squeezing less and less juice out of revisions of a single game.
The only thing I truly wish the vanguard had, is more options for sidearm. The heavy bolt pistol, or even better, the plasma pistol. So we have a good range option for priority targets. Current bolt pistol is just a mag dump option, for which the melta is a better choice in all cases (not accounting for range) but having the plasma pistol would be amazing, when we have a bit of breathing room before grappling into the fray to get some "heavy" sidearm shots in at range would be truly amazing. I also agree that the combat knife is the "better" choice, at least if you are using the melta, tho it is truly just personal preference really. I need to see the double stomp tho, as well as the shoulder charge from knife instead of the current swipe+stab (sprinting attack)
Here is hoping they'll be one of the classes to the new pistol being released. But I do agree I'd love the heavy bolt pistol on vanguard. Regular bolt pistol feels like I'd do more damage throwing the bullets at the enemy. It really isn't a useful sidearm unless you want to dump 3-4 mags at once.

Yo TV, you don't have to use the version you don't like to get the perk point, you can master it by using an armory data of the same or higher level of the variant you are trying to master. That way you can just fully level up the variant without the grind
Yes! Once a Vanguard, always a Vanguard! Also a fellow Mass Effect Vanguard here. Just so you know, you don't need to use the version of the gun you don't want to get your mastery point. You just need to spend the data you get from the mission, and it will level up that gun and give you the mastery point for the variant. As to the mastery TIER, it will level up with any weapon of that category, even when the weapon itself has been maxed out.
I really like the perk that gives you a grenade for 10 quick kills, 180 second cooldown. Pairs extremely well with the melta rifle, and works great with kraks and melta charges.
In the final column, I'd advocate strongly for the (way more than 1 percent!) health restore from finishing Majoris or higher enemy, since it's a source of sustain to keep you at high health and far from death with a near-constant uptime as long as there are Majoris ads to kill, rather than a second chance if you run out of health that can proc just once for every three minutes. Once the Melta's over-healing bug is fixed, that constant sustain for your red health will be far more valuable. I also believe it's currently far more than 1 percent of your health per Majoris finisher, though, so that might get fixed/changed in the future.
I also thought Mass Effect Vanguard when I started playing Vanguard in this game. Especially with the Melta Rifle for the old "Zip in and finish 'em" style of play. I think it's such a cool touch that you will automatically execute any enemy you grapple that's glowing red and ready for it.
Assault needs a buff in both PvP and PvE (in my opinion) Don’t see it as viable as Tactical or vanguard. only use the combat knife for vanguard, chainsaw is trolling tbh
i wonder the popularity player count wise for the classes. even just based on early access
Bulwark tactical and heavy seem to be the most popular.
I constantly see a ton of bulwark and heavy needing to swap out on operations.
@@spartancrownthat’s good to know. I know sniper is getting popular but i hope my vanguard stays under the radar 🤫
@@tlungu962 I run vanguard as well. 👍🏼
use relics for free mastery what are you doing grinding it
Yeah I ended up doing that so I wouldn't have to grind, but I was being stingy at first
@@TrueVanguard Dude, how you heal as you did @2:40 in the video?? You mentioned it, but never did say how.
I wonder how many people will get upset once the melta insane healing gets nerfed (since the insane healing is a bug)
The manguard is my only choice.
I keep getting matched with either psychotic or totally idiotic new players who’ve just started playing and opting for higher difficulty levels running through the map like forest gump triggering every enemy there is then dying in 2 seconds 😭 wish they’d made it that you could only do the more difficult levels when at a certain rank.
Knife is s tier
Minor is such an unfortunate name for enemies
