Fixed my Toto toilet with this kit 5403 today.
    Very easy to do.
Hardest part was adjusting the chain length.
    Finally got it right.
Could do the whole fix in under 10 minutes now instead of the 30 minutes it took me the first time.
There are a couple of comments here about difficulty adjusting the 0-10 flow.
There is only one vertical tab to change the flow.
You have to lift the plastic ball up and then turn to desired notch then the tab will slip into the new notch and not turn until you lift it up😄.
    Easy peasy.

I have used these flappers for toilet repairs for my plumbing customers and they work great, very universal. I feature Fluidmaster in my video's as well.

Trouble turning mine, just like GamekillOG commented a year ago...
At this point, what I'd really like to have is *a clear tank* for my toilet, similar to what's shown here!

How the heck did you get it to turn so easy? I did find some water bubbles on the seal and popped them with a razor. It did help, but I cannot turn that adj, seems to be stuck.

This is a great video, but I'm needing to replace the flapper in a tank with the old style fill tube and flapper, is it the same procedure?

I have a Gerber toilet with a fixed flapper so I’ll need to remove the tank and go through the whole 9! Smfh. New construction house with cheap parts and toilets failed after 1 year of buying the house.

This is the worst flapper. It keeps getting stuck at the top and won't fall down. Any idea what setting 0-10 is causing this?

The issue here is not the adjustable setting but the plastic frame rubbing against the flush valve. Your flush valve may be oversized and replacing the flapper with an all rubber flapper may be the easiest solution. Contact Fluidmaster Technical Service for help in getting the correct flapper. Call 800-631-2011 ext. 1 and speak to Technical Service Rep today. Hours of operation are Mon-Fri 5:30 am to 5:00 pm PST.

If the flapper is closing too soon and not allowing the toilet to flush try adjusting the flapper. The key to adjusting the flapper is to turn the clear bulb on the bottom of the flapper. When turning the bulb you are opening or closing the air window which times the release of the flapper for it to close. If you have any questions concerns or need help with your installation please contact Fluidmaster’s Technical Service Department as we are available Monday through Friday from 5:30 AM through 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time. Contact options include: Chat www.fluidmaster.com/support E-Mail techsupport@fluidmaster.com and Toll Free 800-631-2011.

Old 540 gradually stopped flushing. The old one wouldn't respond to any adjustments, chain, 0-10, didn't matter. Go buy a new 540 and it's not working at any number or chain length consistently. Who knew toilets had such personality and were so finicky? It flushes once but then not the next time. I don't want a cranky jerk for a toilet, I just want it to assume its position as a relatively maintenance free simple appliance. Not what I was hoping for from the last one and certainly not its replacement.
