Korky® Universal 3 Inch Toilet Flapper 3060BP
Today I will be your personal guide, in installing the universal 3 inch adjustable flapper. The flapper is adjustable for optimal flush performance. The first step is to shut off the water supply to your toilet. Then flush your toilet. Then mark the water level with a pencil and drain the excess water. Remove the old flapper and install the Korky 3 inch adjustable flapper. Attach the flapper ears to the tabs on the flush valve. If you have a Kohler Cimarron Toilet, rotate the legs to fit the flush valve. If you have a Mansfield toilet after 2008, one flush valve peg may be larger than the other. You may need to remove the old red arm on the side that attaches to the larger leg. Install the black arm by sliding it over the rubber post and pulling tight. Then attach the flapper chain to the flush lever with minimal slack. Turn the water supply on and let the tank fill completely. Now, turn off the water and flush. If the water level drops within a half inch of the pencil mark your installation is complete. If the water level is below the pencil line, adjust the arrow on the white band of the flapper to a lower number. If water is above the pencil line, adjust the white band to a higher number. For the most popular toilet settings, see the back of the flapper card. And turn your water supply on and let the tank fill completely. Now turn your water supply off and flush. If the water is still not within a half inch of the pencil mark, repeat the process by turning the water supply on and let your tank fill completely. Then turn your water supply off and flush. The dial can be further adjusted until the water level is within a half inch of the pencil mark. Very clear instruction. I managed to replace my old flapper with Korky in less than 15 minutes. Mine was American Standard and the setting 8 worked for me.
I'm so thankful for this video. I have one of the 'very special' Mansfield 386 toilets, and the video was so helpful, with knowing what to do with the black piece (and how to get the old arm off, etc.) My toilet's issue was having to hold the handle down, to complete a flush. It's now fixed and flushing will be so easy I won't know what to do with all that saved time, LOL!

I just did this. So far so good. I'll give it a while to see if the water runs. Meanwhile, appears to be an easy job. 🤝
Worked for my Gerber and this thing covers up better than the original Gerber flap.

Why does the water level after flushing matter? I installed mine, and it often does not seal. Seems that the two tabs are too wide for my Toto seal, and it hangs up.

I bought one of the universal flappers and i have to hold the handle down now to get my toilet to flush. Guess i will go to walmart and buy a regular cheap flapper. Can't recommend your product. I followed the directions for installation.
