Hi Paula, Thank you soooo much for being on UA-cam! The past 14 years I have learned a great deal from you. I'm from Nevada, but my mom and my aunt (both have passed away) cooked similar to the way to you do, I was taught early on to cook and to bake. For 40 years I have baked breads and biscuits (I do prefer your biscuit recipe over my family's recipe), my son had lived in the south for a bit, at the time he thought there would be a big difference in the way he grew up and the southern way, he called me and said "Mom! are you sure you weren't from the south? because you raised me southern style." It made my heart happy. During this time of our Nation's crisis, home cooking brings such comfort to those around us. Thank you for being an encouragement and a reminder to continue making "best dishes." I love this Cobbler Recipe!
I just love Paula's UA-cam shows. So natural. It's like we came over from next door to watch her cook. "Wait a minute....I have let the dog in" What a treat.

But she died two years ago, and I'm no good a making pies (unfortunately). But last year, I got a bunch or fresh peaches and I knew I couldn't eat all of them before they went bad. So what to do with all those peaches? Well, I have one of your cookbooks, and the recipe for peach cobbler is just about what was on your show today. So I tried making a peach cobbler for my birthday, using the fresh peaches and your recipe. I have to tell you that it came out perfectly. It didn't even run over the edge of the pan, and it was one of the best things I had all last year. Your recipe is fantastic.

I want to try your mom's recipe very soon, when I run out of leftover peach cobbler. Stay well.

Which in their mind was just a knee slapping whoopie grand time! Crazier still was how they were insulted if you didn't find it funny or laugh!! So I understand perfectly but if these statements were said years ago it really was a (sadly) par for the course and common place. Either way, I am sorry those things were said and ultimately hurt you. 56
@@donnabragg8989 Dear Donna, and MES too, please, whatever Paula said or didn't say, we are all in a sense product of our times. In my eyes there is not a racist fiber in this lady. Person imperfect? Maybe. Crime so severe unpardonable? Not quite. Many of us raised in the South are actually very respectable and respectful when comes to race. So, can you find it in your heart to forgive and let go? Can she, you, MES and I and our whole nation move on knowing we are not perfect but, BUT we evolve and elevate our common humanity because, if nothing else, we are Americans. Love you Donna, Mes, Paula y'all from SF.
Teresa needs to chill. Let Paula do her thing.
right I was like "shhhhhhhhhh"
Exactly.
Yes...Paula really doesn't need a sidekick. A question from Teresa occasionally would be ok but...good grief....get on with the recipe. I am trying to make it and watch at the same time. Don't confuse me because you want your face in camera.
She is annoying
Agree. Shush.
I love how her prepping table is all over the place and she’s also all over the place and giggling. Reminds me of me when I bake 😂
I miss watching you on TV. These UA-cam cooking shows are GREAT! 😁 Thank you for posting these.
My grandma passed away in December of 2018 and hearing your voice reminds me of her so much. A sense of calm just washes over me and it brings me peace listening to your video. I'm so glad you're back Paula. I missed you!
Paula's video is sooo professional maybe this is the road to New beginnings for her just keep making UA-cam videos Paula you never know.....
Let's hope not.
Why
That's just a nasty thing to say. Shame on you! John
Love Paula!
Well ya. She’s a pro. 😉 Love that she’s doing this. Need this right now.
I love that she's cooking those peaches in a Revere ware pan. No fancy pans for Paula. Those pans are great i have my grandmas that are 40+ years old
My grandma has the same pots
I love my old Revere ware too! I was just telling my husband yesterday that, “They don’t make cookware like they used to.” All the best to y’all!
@@bethbosheers8096 We used to have Revereware. Too bad they don't make it anymore. It was my favorite, besides my mother's heavy aluminum pots and pans from many years ago. I hate that they stopped making all those good pots and pans! btw I used to use copper cleaner every time I washed the Revereware. It's so pretty to see clean, bright copper.
@@britt7223 Hi there! I know what you mean. ❤️😊I’m looking on line at this tine, to find me some more Revereware! Mine is 16 years old, and most of it is still doing great. I miss my mother everyday, and having Ms. Paula back in all our lives, reminds me of what a spunky, lil’, fun, great cook, and true southern belle, my precious Mama Jane, always was. 😌❤️All the best to you and yours! ❤️🙏🏼😎🇺🇸
I just love watching you cook! I have been a fan for years. Please don’t listen to some of these rude ppl talking about Teresa. Your making a stay at home video and talking with her and your aunt. I think it’s awesome! Prayers for those precious babies. Thank you for sharing!
I agree. Who gives a hoot who shes talking to. Shes got company in her kitchen. Let them converse while she cooks. Jesus people are more annoying here than the ones they complain about.
Yes,, you are right on. Some of the people posting on here, need to be quiet.. this is home setting cooking. They weren’t shooting for professional cooking show, this is entertainment. The interaction with Theresa is fine with me.
Auntie is back😍 we missed you so much and I'm so glad you are filming again Paula Deen God bless you and your family greetings from Panama
Paula! I’m so glad you’re back. We definitely needed you during these times. I wish you would close out your videos with “Best Dishes, from my kitchen to yours!” It would feel just like old times. Looking forward to many more recipes.

Everyone can make a mistake, even people that are really great. I'm not sure how fair it is for a group to be very hard on someone, for one mistake, instead of being forgiving or compassionate or understanding, and moving on.

My grandma used to say that when measuring baking SODA, always level the measure and make sure you don't use too much. But when measuring baking POWDER, always heap it up in the spoon! She was known as the best cook in her town and she whispered that to me. She said it always makes your baked goods nice and light! She then told me it was her secret. I mentioned it to my mom many years later and she was really insulted that her dear mother in law had never told her that. I told her that her mistake was in just being a daughter in law. I was a granddaughter and therefore went to the top of the class! (Grandma was a teacher.)
Thanks for sharing your Grandmother's secret.
