Do y'all make my cobbler with fresh, frozen, or canned peaches?
I m about to make it with canned sliced peaches. This receipe truely sounds amazing ! x
I missed our peach season in the Midwest, so it would have to be frozen or canned. I never buy self-raising, just add leavener.

I just made peach cobbler this morning, and laughed at the coincidence! Great minds think alike as they say, LOL. I used fresh nectarines, which are very close to peaches without the fuzz. Love to Miss Paula and family, Eddie and Theresa.

This is how my mama made hers and this is how I make mine. But we used canned peaches and stirred some of the syrup into the batter before we added the peaches.
Paula, peel that skin over a BOWL. That juice is golden. Note to the world: People love the crust. Use a larger container so you have more surface area for crust
She’s so wacky and irreverent. Gotta love her crudeness, her mis-speaks, her unfiltered realness (all her “worries”-the flour, the juiciness, etc) lol. She’s like everyone’s naughty little momma. I want Paula to live forever! It would have been nice if they ended this 3-part series with the final spread and dinner with Paula and Michael! We all know everyone would love to see them eat and chat and frolic at the table! Maybe her creative “people” can think about doing some dining room table videos.
I've had that peach cobbler at The Lady & Sons and it was AMAZING! And the biscuits, and the hoe cakes, and the hoppin John, and the collard greens lol. Oooo and who could forget the perfectly sweet tea?! Love, love LOVE!!!

If you're unsure if it's self-rising then just stick your finger in it and taste it. You can taste the salt and the baking powder.
Raw flour can potentially cause food poisoning. Even though it's a small amount, I wouldn't recommend tasting it. Especially to someone elderly. 😊

I grew up calling this a Lazy Peach Cobbler. Great recipe and works just as well with blackberries too.
my grandmother's recipe was very similar - she mixed 1 cup milk, sugar, S/R flour, and 1 stick melted butter but poured it OVER the peaches. I've tried both ways and like it poured over peaches best.

Kinda of like a dump cake. I have made a peach cobbler dump crockpop version before it was real good had some nice crisp caramelized edges.
Can you use “Splenda” or a sugar substitute or would it NOT have the same sweetness? Peach cobbler is my favorite dessert.

I saw a tip on how to get the pit out of the peach without tearing the peach up. Take a pair of needle nose pliers and have them open. Push them down through the stem part. It may take a couple of twists but the pit will come out clean as a whistle leaving you a perfect peach.

I take mines and put in the oven let the crust get brown and then I'll go back and I put my peach cobbler juice on top of it and it is so good
