I was always texlaxing my hair for many years and didn't realize that was what I was doing. I was just underprocessing my new growth every 3 months. My hair grew so long. Then I tried going natural for the past few years and I feel the same way. I went back to texlaxing last week. In the past when my hair grew down almost to my waist, I just kept it in a protective bun. Now I have discovered drawstring ponytail, I still keep my own hair in a protective bun, but now I protective my bun by covering it with a stocking cap, and using a drawstring ponytail over my bun. Now my hair is even more protective.😊
Tex laxing my hair was the best decision ive ever made. I couldn’t go all the way with relaxer cuz my hair would be too brittle. My hair has never been healthier and dealing with my hair is a breeze.
I couldn’t agree more! I’m really happy with my decision.
I just had my stylist do it today and I love it ❤️
Yesss detangling my hair has def been a breeze
I’ve been natural for 10 years, as if this past December. After maybe 7 major length setbacks, my hair is almost to waist length. Here’s the thing though. I hate it so much it’s making me sad to have it on my head. I’m ready to texlax & be happy & free myself from the daily mental struggle of having to think about my hair weeks before an even
I’ve been natural for 2 years and I’m EXHAUSTED. I cut it very short this summer cuz I was over it. I think I texlaxing is the perfect healthy medium.
Right now I couldn’t agree more. I love having my curls but it being more manageable
Welcome back❤
Love your hair 😘
Thank you 🤍🤍
I am like you! I have tried the whole natural afro thing for the past 4 years and I am fed up of it. I have length yet I never rock afro hair styles. I wear hairextensions and wigs. I need to be honest to myself so I will perm relax it again. Thank you for the lovely video ❤
Very true healthy hair is what matters welcome to the relaxed hair journey 😀 😊
yess queen!
I got tired of my natural hair too but I don’t relax it, I just cut it 😂
😂
That’s you which is ok. Others relax theirs, which is also ok!
I’ve done both😂😢
Can you do an update video showing how you care for Texlax hair and your thoughts?
hmmm I had it in the works but something really bad happened to my hair, stay tuned to the next vlogs for updates. However I'll still film an update. 🤗
Yes hair is hair, everyone is allowed to do whatever they want with it, as far the process is safe and not appropriating anyone’s culture.
You can still go back to being natural anytime in the future, if you want to. It’s just hair 🙌🏾.
Welcome back, hope you have been fine, please post more 😢
I couldn’t agree more! It’s so good to be back and I can’t wait to keep you guys updated on everything. 🤍
It’s the extensions for me! I’m doing it thanks!
You're glowing sis
Thank you!!
Finally it's good to have you back. I hope you've been doing okay?❤
thank you!! I'm so happy to be back too. I'm doing okay thank you., I hope you're doing amazing too. 🤍
Honestly y'all making me want to relax this hair because what in the name of stress is this??😩 As your natural hair grows bigger, it becomes even more stressful & nerve-wracking. You can't even pack your hair in peace. I am tired too. 😫
This!!! Was my major driver 😭
I just wanted to be able to take care of my hair quickly and get it over with.
Texlaxing made my hair easier to manage and im so happy with my decision.
@@ValerieEgbuniwe1 I think you just gave the push I need! 😀 Please what products did you use? I am so scared of products - I don't want anything damaging my hair.
Looks shiny, full and healthy. Love the kinky-straight look. Is it flat ironed? :)
thank you!! Not at all, this was a loose braid out.

Hi. Your hair came out really nice. What is the name of the Ghanaian salon that you went to in the Bronx?
Yaaaaaay 🎉🎉🎉
Wow your hair is so long and beautiful too❣️❣️❣️👌👌👌
Thank you so much 😊
I wanna tex lax my hair but in scared cause my hair is already so thin
Hey Valerie! How many bundles of the extension hair did you use?
2 bundles! Don't forget to use NGWVAL for 10% off.
Good for you ! I’m doing it lol !
Am about to do the same so exhausted as well even though I love it too tricky. Did you put oil before in your hair or in the conditioner ?
I went to a professional salon but I believed they mixed it into the product
Hey Valerie, you can check out keratin treatment as well 💕
Thank you! I’ll check it out
I haven’t done much research, I have friends that do it although her hair isn’t 4c, but after a while your hair reverts back, so you have best of both worlds if you want. It also has its benefits of protein. And my friends hair, funny enough, is growing so much with the treatment. It’s also called Brazilian keratin treatment or something like that. It’s a bit expensive where I am but, I’m still a student that’s why 😂 however I think it might really work with your lifestyle.
I I had my stylist Tex lax today, could not take it anymore. Now it’s a wrap and go, I can still do twist outs too
hahhaa love this for you! I should do a 1 year post texlax update video.
@@ValerieEgbuniwe1 please do, I feel free
Hey loves,
How are you???
It’s been a hot minute and it feels really good to be back.
While I was away, here’s a quick life update.
Thank you to everyone who reached out, I appreciate your love and support. 🤍
Hi Valerie, which products did you use for this
I think it was ORS the last person before me used the last box of affirm 😂
You said you like a certain look 😢 💔
IMO, I feel like it’s not just hair. Yes, making natural hair takes time but if you do some research you’d see that there are tools that make managing natural hair a breeze. It saddens me to see a lot of naturals running back to chemicals to change their hair texture.
Anyhoo, I hope you enjoy this new journey and that your hair stays healthy 🤗
Thank you. 🤍
My hair is still curly so it requires some time and effort but it was important for my hair to become more manageable.
It’s really just hair in the end and people should be able to make the decisions that favor them without the fear of being judged by society.
I did have natural hair and cared for it as much as I could but it just wasn’t working anymore as my hair grew longer and thicker.
I agree.... it is actually just hair.
This is why I’m gonna grow out my natural hair to a certain length and maintain that length and cut it down if it’s too long😂
this is actually a great idea tbh.
How often do you texlax
i do every quarter, so 3 times a year
❤❤❤❤❤❤
❤️💕🤍💕❤️🥰🤍💕❤️
Firstttttttt
Yayyyy 🥳🥳🥳
💔💔🤦🏽♂️
