You look Beautiful. You look like a Longtime Friend of mine name Kim. She is now married with kids of her own. Same hair style and you actually sound like her to. I use to watch her mom do her hair with relaxers ...I also helped to. I asked her mom, Erna Dean if I could, and she said of course. I wanted to learn how to do hair of many different types of textures and such. It use to be a Long drawn out process. But now a days, they have added better products and they also smell better to. The type you use here in your video, she also used as well. I worked in the medical field as a PCA, same as CNA, but just wasn't certified. I did hair for everyone when it was their day for a shower, and especially on Sundays. I really took time on that day. My uncle Charlie did hair for more than 45 years. That's all he ever did. So yes, Love to learn other types of hair styles.... Thank you for sharing your adventure with your Beautiful hair. You did an Amazing job. Hope you and everyone here has a Safe Blessed and Wonderful evening ✅👍🤗♥️👑💐👑♥️🤗👍✅
I’ve been natural since 2019 and I want to relax my hair this week. I regret telling anyone I was going to do it because they’ve all been negative about it. At the end of the day it’s my hair and I’m the one who has to live with it.
Exactlyyyy. That's why I didn't tell anyone. I just up and did it. At the end of the day, it's YOUR HAIR. Unless they're about to come and wash/style your hair for you weekly, it doesn't matter what they think 🤷🏽♀️
I’m thinking of going back as well. My hair is just too high maintenance and I don’t have the time or energy. I currently wear wigs but this Florida heat makes it almost impossible to wear wigs without sweating.
I commend you for trying. Sometimes, I think about going back natural, but I can't handle it, I struggle enough with my new growth. If I go natural, my hair would have to be super low cut.
Mines did the same. Fall out fail. Haven't had a relaxer in 13 years. If I want straight hair I will blow it out and flat iron it which is not very often. Her hair really looks very nice tho ❤
We, Black women, look good no matter what--relaxed, natural, silk pressed, loc'd! As someone who was relaxed for most of my childhood, teen years, and most of my 20's, then was loc'd for almost 9 years, and now rocking a fro again lol, I know the scrutiny we face when it comes to our hair. As you mentioned, your main focus has been the HEALTH of your hair. You did a great job! Rock it the way YOU want, Queen! 💜
As a white woman, I like black women's hair in all its renditions. I especially like the afros and the braids of hair snd colorful yarn added. i don'tim like when the hair gets pulled so tight you start to lose your hair. I have coarse grey brown hair, kinda wavy, bushy and it tangles. Maybe I should try a relaxer. conditioner doesn't smooth it out
@@crystaltbeautylove4820if it is then let her go through it and do a big chop again, let her have her own journey without the need for passive aggressive judgement.
Your hair is so luscious! My favorite part is the shake. I love that black women are wearing their hair however they want. As long as it’s healthy or you’re working on the health of your hair, it’s fine to me.
This is one of the few videos where the products are attainable, hairstyle is achievable and easy to maintain without loads of time spent on it. It's realistic and practical, and others can copy what you do without having to spend loads of time and money. Well done!
Wow your hair is really beautiful both natural and relaxed. You really have the true definition of what it means to have “good hair” because it is so healthy. Your hair’s density, thick strands, the shine, the bounce and movement is on point.
I went(and stayed) natural because my hair just flourishes better in its natural state HOWEVER I'm so happy you chose what works best for you and you still have a head FULL of beautiful healthy hair!❤
@MommyDaughterTingz lol that is incorrect in regards to me. I've never had a problem with thickness nor growing length. I have hundreds of relaxed hair videos on my channel that I've made over the last 10yrs. Relaxed Hair is not new to me lol.
Awesome job and it looks absolutely beautiful. I've been relaxing my hair since I was a teen. I am 64 yrs old and went natural (big chop) at age 60. I have 4c hair and honey let me tell you, I loved the look of my THICK natural hair but the expense$$$ and time it took was unbelievable! Last year I went back to relaxers and my hair continues to be healthy, so do you young lady.
I have the exact opposite story. I am 4c all over my head and been natural since forever, relaxed it 2 yrs ago just in certain areas and it started to fall out even with weekly care. I will never go back to a relaxer.
I have the exact opposite story. I am 4c all over my head and been natural since forever, relaxed it 2 yrs ago just in certain areas and it started to fall out even with weekly care. I will never go back to a relaxer.
Love your video. I think the trick to maintaining a good relaxed hair is to deep condition each and every time you wash your hair and you must use Heat Protectant along with some kind of leave in conditioner. Each persons hair is different and what works for one wont work but all, but like i said the upkeep is very important
Chillllllleeeeeee, I almost passed out!!!😭😭😭😭 Wellllll, thank you for joining us for a while! Your hair is pretty regardless. If you’re happy, so am I!🤗❤🎉
I went natural for a year, my hair grew , I used also rice water it's great, and the soft and free products, the leave in conditioner works perfectly, but than I decide to relax my hair my hair broke off, so relaxed hair is beautiful but not for everybody, but you looks lovely with your hair, thanks ❤
Girl I feel you. Relaxed hair is easier to manipulate and manage for sure especially when you have thick, dense natural hair like yourself, it's definitely a commitment. Good luck on your new journey.
Absolutely stunning 😍 people need to worry about their own hair. If you want to relax your hair relax it, it’s your hair. If you wanna be natural, be natural, our hair is so versatile and it’s not like we can’t switch it back up. Negativity isn’t necessary. Everyone does what’s best for them.
Girl you have some beautiful hair whether if it's natural or relaxed. I had a relaxer for years and then I decided to go natural and that's because I take so much medicine thru out the day that it was taking a toll on my hair. But you can tell that your hair is healthy and strong, so whatever works for you I say go for it☺️😊
As a Black woman I know exactly what you mean. Your are beautiful and your hair journey is yours and yours alone. Don’t worry about what anyone else says. You are beautiful and you shine no matter what ❤️
Facts sis! It’s unbelievable how folks won’t let you do you. I am natural now and has been natural for years but won’t lie I think about relaxing all the time esp being in Houston now… but I know I would miss it natural. My hair is bra strap long… who knows maybe I will make a decision and stop straddling the fence lol!
I’ll never relax again been natural 5 years and love it but I loved 🥰 the tone of your video…you look happy 😊 and did what works for you no one can be mad at it! You did a good job relaxing and styling.
I did a big chop about 4 years ago and went natural after relaxing my hair for about 30 years. Relaxed was easier for me to maintain, but since the big chop, my hair has grown below my bra strap in the back. I love it natural, but it is a whole lotta work! BTW, your hair is beautiful! Amazing job! 😊
I love your video. I honestly feel the natural hair wearers don’t understand is not everyone’s hair is the same. I went natural for 2.5 years. My hair NEVER acclimated to natural state. It didn’t grow down, it grew outward and upwards, and I was NEVER able to manage it. The more my hair grew, the tighter my curls got. Hundreds of dollars in product every month, constantly clogging the tub from my hair shedding, spending a third of my day on wash days… I was about to spend $350 on a wig as a “protective style”, my husband actually said to me “babe, just relax your hair.” I got my relaxer the next morning and never looked back.
Good for you! I'm so glad to hear you say this. I've been using relaxer since I was 14, so 39 years! My hair is healthy and long, past my mid back, and when I see my 1 inch of new growth a month, and how hard it is to comb through that, lol, I'd never let it go natural. Who needs to waste that time and trouble when you can relax and get 1 month of healthy hair and no trouble. ❤
Such a nice story! In a world of ppl saying I’m crazy for still relaxing my hair! My hair is very long and I try to not over process my hair. I do perms in quarters. I’ll go to the Dominicans to get my hair pressed out on month 2 and by month 3 I’m ready for a perm. I don’t pull or tug on my hair bun it and let it be. I love perms it’s all about how you use them. Yes, I don’t think they should be used so often but I do think if you use them correctly they are really good. I went natural for a few and honey my scalp was hurting so bad I hated it! Never looked back.
@@salexismechelle agreed! I relax my hair only three times a year, and since I’ve struggled with seborrheic dermatitis as a teen, I wash my hair twice a week to keep it under control. So my new growth is doable until it grows out about two inches. With that said, I had a conversation with a former coworker about this issue, she is 100% natural. I was explaining to her that since I relax my hair, I don’t use nowhere near as much hair products as she does. She uses ALOT of gel and edge control products on a daily basis. I only use Jamaican castor oil to keep my hair moisturized and wrapping foam for my edges. That’s it!
I have the same dermatitis. Ive been natural close to 15 years. My scalp flakes so bad and leaves so much flakes in my fro. My scalp doesnt get the air it needs, i feel. I have struggled because i do love my big ol fro BUT my scalp makes it unappealing to me more and more lately. Its a lot of work. I have been going back and forth about getting a relaxing because im literally known for my afro and curls lol but im so over it. I just want relief.@BlasianBobbi215
I personally think you made the best decision for you. I went natural 3 different times before I stayed natural on that 3rd go round. In my 1st 2 tries, I was ill equipped to deal with my hair while working. I just couldn’t deal with it every morning while trying to get to work on time. The second time my curl pattern was affected by color and I hated the color. Third time was a charm though: I was prepared with a plan and I quit coloring. I love it NOW but it took me a loooong time to get there but, it isn’t for everybody and that’s ok.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience and telling us how you were able to succeed. I will probably go natural again but I have learned that I manage best and look best and the TWA stage so that's what I wpuls do differently next time 💜
You are so right. Most importantly, you went through the process and gave it a try. As for my journey, my last relaxer was July 2015. I big chopped December 30th 2015. Styling was difficult for me the entire time. My new journey is locs. I've been loc'd for about 4 weeks now and I'm loving it so far.
Oh wow that is so exciting. Keep me posted on your loc journey. To be honest, I seriously considered getting micro locs because I love how they look. I would love to see a picture of your locs when u get a chance🥰
It looks really pretty! I will NEVER get over someone feeling entitled to tell YOU what to do with YOUR hair! lol That is the funniest most ridiculous thing EVER! lol
Love this!!! I did my virgin relaxer August ‘22 after being natural for 5 years and I regret nothing. Been swinging that length and talking with my hair 🤪😂It took 6 jars 🤦🏾♀️🤣 thanks for sharing your experience 🥰🥰
I know my hair grows better relaxed too, because as a kid with no relaxer, my hair never got past about 2 inches past my shoulders. After being relaxed, my hair grows to mid back. 🎉
for those saying you think relaxer helps, it makes sense. curls are fragile as hell, especially really tight curls. and if they break, you lose so much length so quickly.
Relaxed or natural… imma stick beside ya! Still enjoying being on your hair journey with you. I big chopped around the same time your big chop video dropped. Thank you for getting me encouraged to start my natural journey
Girl you the only person i know that has a perm that looks so healthy and full. 😍😍😍 I’m sick the shrinkage is so real!!! and the layers are cute boo i would just let it grow out ❤
Great video! During my relaxed to natural transition I realized it wasn't what was on top of my head but inside it that had to change, my mindset towards my God-given features had been programmed from a very young age. Love who you are and Who's you are, relaxed or natural!
Honestly, it’s why I forced myself to go natural and no make up. Since I’ve just got this confidence I can’t explain. Before I use to be weird about my natural hair now I’m better. It’s many natural hair is mid back and I ont even tough it if I’m upset or feeling like it’s just too much. I rather be in a style for a week longer than transfer that negative energy to my hair. Ngl, being natural is a lot though 😩 I was relaxed in my younger years but being natural (like truly natural) has changed me.
Your hair looks amazing. I permed my hair for a long time. Went natural 10 yrs ago and tried again recently for 18 months and while my hair did become healthy, it was too much work. The moment the weather changed, no matter how much my hair was moisturized or whatever, it would seize up. Couldn't comb through it. Had to braid it to get my length back. Finally before a special occasion smack in the middle of a humid hot summer, I decided to perm my hair. It looked amazing... and it didn't seize up. It's been 6 months & only got 1 touch up. Hair is healthy, growing & I'm happy. I admire ladies who stay natural. Unfortunately my natural days weren't always happy... To each its own. I love both looks & believe in choices... Rock ur beautiful natural looks as well as straightened perm looks🤗🤩
Your hair looks great. I grew up wearing weave or perming my hair, but this actually damaged my hair and my self-esteem. I started feeling unattractive without the weave or permed hair, so a few years ago, I went all natural and love my hair and have confidence and feel beautiful. Also, I keep it simple, as it grows more I have a fro or twist. I used to spend so much time on my hair, thank God that's over with. Also a problem I used to have with the perm is when it rains or when I sweat, my hair is right back to natural. God bless you.
Your hair came out beautifully. I too went natural and decided to go back to relaxing. No one tells you you have to be a scientist to figure out what creams and sprays to use and then the whole porosity thing😳😳. Before you know it your bathroom has turned into a dang mini beauty supply store. So absolutely do whats best for you and what makes you happy.
Your hair looks great!! It's so healthy. I'm natural, but I understand. This stuff gets long and unruly lol. And I agree, everyone has to be mindful of the time, energy, and look they want for their hair. You look great both natural and permed. Beautiful results!
Either way, I love your hair!! I'm still natural and I don't plan on getting a relaxer any time soon, but its also good to see your relaxed hair vids back!! Your hair is thick and healthy, that's what matters most! ❤❤❤
Looks fantastic!! Wow. What a transformation. I love seeing all the different options and the individual processes. I’m a white lady and I find it fascinating how we’re all the same adapting to different bodily experiences.
You got me ready to risk it all! I’ve been off the creamy crack since 2017…cold turkey 🤣🤣🤣 being natural is hard work and takes dedication. I honestly miss the days where I could forget to wrap my hair and it wasn’t a big deal. Your hair looks beautiful and healthy ❤❤❤
😂😂 omg Shaikra that is hilarious but I definitely understand where you're coming from. Thank you so much. Feels good to be able to wake up, comb my wrap down, and go 🚶🏽♀️
Girl! It’s been since 2018 for me but the way I’ve been bingeing these texture release/relaxer videos lately 😭 It’s either that, locs or ✂️. The natural hair “gurus” did not properly prepare us. 😂
What a beautiful head of hair!!!!! I’m an older female whose experiencing the “thinning, and the split ends,” and trying to get back on track. Therefore, when I see a young lady with a healthy head of hair, I feel as if I still have hope🙏🏽 Thank you for your encouraging videos❤️
@@winniejohnson5559 ohhhh, this is wonderful to hear. Currently, I am under the care of a hair technician who treats the hair for healthy expectations. The latest styles are nice to have, but it’s all about the healthiness for me. Wonderful to hear of your healthy hair recovery 👍🏽
You put your foot into this whole process! I'm sure if you had another box of relaxer, it would have been even straighter. Your hair separation and parting is something to envy! Your hair looks beautiful! 😍 Great job! 👏🏽
Awesome job. Wished my scalp was based this good when I was relaxed. Got tired of relaxing and went natural in 2014. Now I’m tailbone length I love it even more. Love yourself regardless
That smile on your face when you were detangling was so beautiful. You look really happy with your choice. Your hair looks healthy and really suits you!
I've been natural since 2012 and still am and I absolutely love watching any hair videos including relaxer videos! They are all therapeutic to me. Zero judgment here i love your hair it's so beautiful and seeing that smile on your face after you rinsed the relaxer out made me happy. Thanks for posting this video
Awww thank you so much. I am the same as you. I still like to watch relaxed and natural hair. I also watch vanilla hair channels, if you know what I mean. Hair is hair. I love it and I enjoy watching and learning from others as well
Your hair is so thick and healthy. I see why you went back because either way you wear your hair it's always healthy and beautiful. I can definitely agree with you about natural hair 4b or 4c being harder to maintain and more time consuming as it gets longer. I'm experiencing this now. I'm seriously thinking about letting mine stay in the twa state or getting a relaxer eventually. Overall your hair is beautifu, bouncy and healthy. You did a great job.
Thank you Sharon, and yes I can definitely relate. If i go natural again, I will keep my hair in the TWA stage because its much easier and I felt really cute with my short puffs ☺️
You made a great choice, girl! There's nothing wrong with relaxer, and your hair looks fantastic-- that's all there is to say! A lot of these people commenting are talking through their ***. Lol. Ignore them. Been reading through these seemingly 'friendly and supportive' comments. Amazing to me how so many people have to first tell you they are natural and would NEVER, ever, use a relaxer, before they tell you your hair looked great relaxed. So much hypocrisy. You do you. And your hair looks fantastic! ❤
I totally agree! lol, back-handed comments. I've had to delete so many. I don't understand why someone with natural hair would click on a video like this and even watch it if they were just prepared to say something bad or discouraging
Been natural since 2007, started feeling the same way as well. I just love that your hair still looks thick and healthy. I don't want to perm mine and it look stringy.
OG here! I am happy to to see you happy however your hair is honestly! Your hair is always so healthy and beautiful, you are definitely doing something right! ❤
Yeah!!!!!one of the Queen's of relaxed hair is back, i prayed for this day to come and it's finally here, i scream immediately i saw this video lol, yeah that is how much I've missed your relaxed hair videos, welcome back the hair goddess herself, welcome back one of my fav 😀😀😀💞
You’re hair is so thick and pretty! I love the relaxed look too as well as your natural. You can rock both! You almost have me ready to go back to relaxed hair after 10 years in of being natural, lol. Awesome job on your illustration 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Thanks for posting this. I'm natural and have been for at least 10 years. Our hair seems to be the same 4c type & texture. I am going to use your exact method. I look forward to relaxing my hair in a few weeks!
I was so happy for you when you started talking about detangling taking less time now 🥰🥰 mine is type 4 tailbone length and it takes an hour and a half to detangle, so I was laughing when you said 15 minutes was a long time 😂 I'm about to cut my hair to reduce my detangling and styling time. We shouldn't be slaves to our hair and spend more time on it if we don't want to, so we have to do what works best for us
Seeeeeeeeeee, this was confirmation for me. When you said you were smiling because you haven't had that much ease with detangling your hair in a long time, THATS what I'm ready to feel again. I'm about sick of tussling with my hair every time I wanna do something to it. 😅
The only thing that matters is that YOUR hair is HEALTHY!!!! And it looks VERY HEALTHY, I loved the end results!!! ❤❤❤❤ keep us updated! Stay beautiful Queen😊❤
Hey boo! Yes ma'am I'm back again lol. And I think u would look awesome being a straight natural. My hair would revert at the tiniest sight of moisture 😩
Everyone need to do what’s best for them it’s your hair. I never did a big chop I just let it grow out. I’ve been natural since 2015. I never stopped flat ironing my hair. I like being about to go back and forth curly to straight. I don’t have any heat damage I get my ends trimmed regularly. My hair was down my back and it was getting difficult to do my hair. I was thinking if u had a perm it would be easier lol. But instead I chose to get a haircut. Had hairdresser take to my shoulders and I’m happy. I know it will be back in a couple of months. And if not it’s only hair in my opinion and it won’t kill me if it take longer. Your hair looks nice but most importantly if your happy that’s all that matters. The smile on your face said you was very happy
This is the first time I've seen any of your videos, but I wanted to say that your hair is gorgeous!! I love the way you styled it. I wish I was able to do my hair like yours. Thank you for the video and I can't wait to watch the next one! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Gorgeous!! Im so jelly I wish I had all that hair. I have very fine hair that has been falling out for several years now. It's bad. Actually im not sure how there is any keft on my head lol. I should be wearing a wig by now but I'm so scared. I do not have the complexion to wear wigs. As soon as I put it on, it looks fake. Another person can put on the exact same wig and look natural, gorgeous, you wouldn't think anything of it. Im also disabled with a spinal injury that makes doing my own hair quite a challenge. Your hair is beautiful, you're a beautiful lady. Enjoy being young and gorgeous!! 🎉
Me to!! I went natural for a while then i went back to relaxed and i am just happier!! We have to do what’s best for us as long as our hair is healthy and we’re happy that’s all that matter relaxed or natural!!!! You look great ma’am!!
It's nice to see positive comments on your video. Back in the day, I remember people being dragged for no reason. x.x natural hair is tough. I know mines is a struggle , but I just figured out my porosity and things are getting better !
It's only because I've deleted like 100 comments already lol. Only positive vibes on this channel. I'm glad that you've found a good system for your hair to flourish.
I have thick hair like yours permed it a year ago after 3 years of natural hair... Its still long and healthy-- I just dont over do the heat and I still use the same moisture routine... No breakage.
I saw a lot of people that do this kind of things wrong on their hair and you did it perfectly and alone. Also, your hair is beautiful natural and relaxed. Congrats! Greetings from Brazil ;3
This is a little late, but your hair is still so beautiful ❤️ after all these years natural or relaxed. I've been following you for years ,but haven't watched in sometime 💜🦋it's great to be back and see what you've done to your beautiful hair 💜🦋
I am amazed by your skill and dexterity in handling your hair from start to finish. I could swear you just came from the salin, such volume, and length! Very beautiful, you're amazing.
You did an amazing job! Your hair is gorgeous and healthy. Even the back that that wasn't fully relaxed turned out to be great. Enjoy this nice new change ❤
I've been loose natural, I've had perms/relaxers and now I have locs for 6 years and I want to tell you that YOU DID A BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL JOB!!!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍
You did a amazing job relaxing your hair especially since this was your first time relaxing virgin hair! Love the layers and your flatiron! All I use is the cocoa butter vaseline. Does smell good and soft. You're right about doing what's best for your hair. I'm glad I texlax my hair! It's so manageable now! You can have healthy relaxed hair to! Don't matter whether you're natural or not! ❤🔥❤🔥❤
Thank you so much. I was really nervous but I'm glad everything turned out pretty good. That cocoa butter Vaseline is awesome and smells so good. When did u texlax your hair?
It’s good that you took the time to learn more about your hair in its natural state. It is still beautiful and healthy 🥰. I want to go to being a straightened natural, but my hair will be to soft to hold a protective style.
Thank you LadyMaam. I really did enjoy my natural hair and learning how to take care of it. I actually felt most beautiful in the TWA phase of natural hair. I wanted to be a straight natural too but the humidity won lol. 😩💓
Your hair is thick and beautiful! My hair is thick but fine also so I do not have the volume you have, but I am tired of the work it takes for my natural hair and it still falls out so I have really been considering relaxing my hair. People are against it but I am definitely someone who goes against the grain. I'm definitely going to relax my hair ...
@@SW33TSPARKL3 I used a texturizer and broke my hair. My hair strands are very fine and my hair doesn't like me straight it does better natural but it's not extraordinary either. I recently discovered Kelly Logan hair products and they work well so I am trying to see if I can get length after I had to cut out a lot of my hair. I still think your hair is amazing and I would more than likely be relaxed if I had your hair....thick relaxed hair keeps volume!!! Keep doing what makes you happy! I will keep you posted to see how my hair is in the next few months.
I can relate. It turned out gorgeous by the way. No one prepared me for my natural hair journey and it’s been hard work! I’m preparing myself for the critics when I return to the relaxer. 😢
So beautiful & healthy! Very informative & helpful. I commented on 1 of ur videos b4 & u responded graciously, I’m 4 months transitioning (currently have knotless braids) & I enjoyed watching your progress! Nothing wrong with going back 2 relaxing; us women should do what we want without judgement, great job!
I was natural for 7 years and agree with you. Having 4c hair, the longer it got the harder it was to manage it so I relaxed it myself and haven’t looked back. The one thing I learned from my natural hair journey was how to stretch the time between perms and how to use protective styling to help keep my permed hair healthy.
First time 2 your channel...great job! Hair is thick, healthy, and fab! I echo those that say do you...can't believe ppl are negative about what a grown woman wants to do with hair...just hair ppl...
I was going to go natural (again) because my hair wasn’t growing with the relaxer. I decided to try braids before I went ahead & gave myself a buzz cut. The braids helped my hair grow so much I changed my mind & my hair routine. I realized I could have healthy relaxed hair, I just needed to give it a break every now & again. Last relaxer was in august & I’ll do it again next month.
I have been natural since 2016 and I don't see myself ever going back. (If I were to straighten my hair it'll probably be at my lower back at this point.) I do understand the reasons why some do go back to relaxers and that's perfectly okay. You do what makes you feel beautiful and empowered. For me that was going natural and staying natural ❤
I love the results... it still has some texture to it and it’s not bone straight and the layers actually are cute. I’m thinking about going back soon too, do what’s best for you. Simply beautiful ❤
Thank you so much Tiffany. I'm happy it came out the way I was expecting it to. And girl let me know if u decide to take the plunge. How long have u been natural?
@@SW33TSPARKL3 it’s been a long 3+ years and just like you the longer it gets the harder it is to manage. I just been doing braids and faux locs but I miss wearing my real hair plus it takes me 3 days to do my hair 😂
I have 4c hair course hair and although I never had an issue with a relaxer, I tried going natural for over 5 years and I struggled with tangles, fairy knots and dryness. I relaxed my hair a few months ago and I am doing so much better. We can’t be influenced by others, we have to do what works best for us. I have done my own relaxers but like you I have course hair and my arms get tired since it takes 25+ minutes. I’m usually at 30 minutes by the time I have finished.
Mine takes me 45+ minutes to detangle in the shower with conditioner 😣🫠 I love the way the curls bounce/ recoil up after every brush swipe but it’s so tedious 😣idk why it takes me so long after hearing it takes others around 25 minutes. Idk if it’s because my hair is waist length or what so I’m just going to cut it at this point, a new look is tempting 😂
Why do natraul people always feel that they need to attack people who choose to relax their hair. ITS THEIR HAIR NOT YOURS allow people to do what makes them happy. I was natrual for about 2 years and it was not for me. I went back to relaxers and have not regret it not once. At tgey end of the day its all about how u take care of YOUR hair. U look good sweetie.

Your hair looks beautiful ❤thanks for sharing.
Thank you 💞
You look Beautiful.
Me too
I’m thinking of going back as well. My hair is just too high maintenance and I don’t have the time or energy. I currently wear wigs but this Florida heat makes it almost impossible to wear wigs without sweating.
Et bien quand vous ne voulez pas d'avis vous ne dites rien et vous agissez.
I commend you for trying. Sometimes, I think about going back natural, but I can't handle it, I struggle enough with my new growth. If I go natural, my hair would have to be super low cut.
My hair just falls out with relaxers but grows in its natural state. So do what works for you. Your hair looks great
Thank you 💕
Mines did the same. Fall out fail. Haven't had a relaxer in 13 years. If I want straight hair I will blow it out and flat iron it which is not very often. Her hair really looks very nice tho ❤
Same. I've had so much hair fall out. I regret doing it and will never do it again once my hair grows out😅
Exactly why I stopped relaxing. Made my hair fall out and burned my scalp.
A relaxer won’t make your hair grow straighter
We, Black women, look good no matter what--relaxed, natural, silk pressed, loc'd!
As someone who was relaxed for most of my childhood, teen years, and most of my 20's, then was loc'd for almost 9 years, and now rocking a fro again lol, I know the scrutiny we face when it comes to our hair. As you mentioned, your main focus has been the HEALTH of your hair. You did a great job! Rock it the way YOU want, Queen! 💜
Aww thank you so much ✨️
Life Mantra! That part, and all of it. We are Special😊
0p
Too true, you're beautiful whatever the hairstyle.
Maybe I should try a relaxer. conditioner doesn't smooth it out
The smile on your face when you saw the results is more important than being in the natural club. We deserve to do what makes us happy!
Thanks. I truly agree with you✨
Ehh feels a little like conformity because that smile was not there before in her natural state 😢😢
Do what makes you happy. You look beautiful either way.
@@crystaltbeautylove4820if it is then let her go through it and do a big chop again, let her have her own journey without the need for passive aggressive judgement.
Exactly. Different strokes for different folks. They don't have to deal with it.
Your hair is so luscious! My favorite part is the shake. I love that black women are wearing their hair however they want. As long as it’s healthy or you’re working on the health of your hair, it’s fine to me.
Thank you so much ashley, I really appreciate your positivity ✨️
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👍🏽💯
Congrats !! I’ve been natural for about 15 years . And the most important thing is enjoying your hair
Thank you Marlene 😇
This is one of the few videos where the products are attainable, hairstyle is achievable and easy to maintain without loads of time spent on it. It's realistic and practical, and others can copy what you do without having to spend loads of time and money. Well done!
Aww thank you so much 💕
Wow your hair is really beautiful both natural and relaxed. You really have the true definition of what it means to have “good hair” because it is so healthy. Your hair’s density, thick strands, the shine, the bounce and movement is on point.
Awwww thank you so much. This made my day 🥰🥰
I went(and stayed) natural because my hair just flourishes better in its natural state HOWEVER I'm so happy you chose what works best for you and you still have a head FULL of beautiful healthy hair!❤
Thank you love! 💞
Yep! Seems like people go natural to grow length and healthy hair and then go back to perm. I love natural!!!
@MommyDaughterTingz lol that is incorrect in regards to me. I've never had a problem with thickness nor growing length. I have hundreds of relaxed hair videos on my channel that I've made over the last 10yrs. Relaxed Hair is not new to me lol.
Exactly
@@SW33TSPARKL3 you have beautiful hair
Awesome job and it looks absolutely beautiful. I've been relaxing my hair since I was a teen. I am 64 yrs old and went natural (big chop) at age 60. I have 4c hair and honey let me tell you, I loved the look of my THICK natural hair but the expense$$$ and time it took was unbelievable! Last year I went back to relaxers and my hair continues to be healthy, so do you young lady.
Aww thank you so much Lorraine and I appreciate you telling us your experience 💗
😊😊😊
Chillllllleeeeeee, I almost passed out!!!😭😭😭😭 Wellllll, thank you for joining us for a while! Your hair is pretty regardless. If you’re happy, so am I!🤗❤🎉

I knew you won’t last long being natural 😉😉
I went natural for a year, my hair grew , I used also rice water it's great, and the soft and free products, the leave in conditioner works perfectly, but than I decide to relax my hair my hair broke off, so relaxed hair is beautiful but not for everybody, but you looks lovely with your hair, thanks ❤
Thanks for sharing your experience, and I'm sorry it didn't work out well
Girl I feel you. Relaxed hair is easier to manipulate and manage for sure especially when you have thick, dense natural hair like yourself, it's definitely a commitment. Good luck on your new journey.
Thank you so much hun! U are so right lol
I've had a relaxer since I was 10. It's definitely easier to manage. I have a short pixie haircut.
So true.
It wasn't easier 4 me. I got endometriosis from hair relaxer
Sure 🙄
Absolutely stunning 😍 people need to worry about their own hair. If you want to relax your hair relax it, it’s your hair. If you wanna be natural, be natural, our hair is so versatile and it’s not like we can’t switch it back up. Negativity isn’t necessary. Everyone does what’s best for them.

But you can tell that your hair is healthy and strong, so whatever works for you I say go for it☺️😊

Thanks!
Me either! Never going back to the creamy crack. I love my waves so much. I don’t find my hair too hard to manage at all.
@@dramaticgemini5937 I call it the same thing😂😂 2:39
You said it all!!!
Love my natural hair. I see its unique beauty.
Thank you Claudia 😇
Same here, Claudia.... and yes, a whole lotta work, but it's worth it!
Lol I love this story. Yasss for doing what's best for you and for Bae for supporting you 😇
Good for you!
I will probably go natural again but I have learned that I manage best and look best and the TWA stage so that's what I wpuls do differently next time 💜
Same, 3rd big chop was a charm
You are so right. Most importantly, you went through the process and gave it a try. As for my journey, my last relaxer was July 2015. I big chopped December 30th 2015. Styling was difficult for me the entire time. My new journey is locs. I've been loc'd for about 4 weeks now and I'm loving it so far.
Oh wow that is so exciting. Keep me posted on your loc journey. To be honest, I seriously considered getting micro locs because I love how they look. I would love to see a picture of your locs when u get a chance🥰
It looks really pretty! I will NEVER get over someone feeling entitled to tell YOU what to do with YOUR hair! lol That is the funniest most ridiculous thing EVER! lol
Exactlyyyy girl u hit the nail on the head! Thank you so much 💓
Right🤣🤣🤣🤣
Love this!!! I did my virgin relaxer August ‘22 after being natural for 5 years and I regret nothing. Been swinging that length and talking with my hair 🤪😂It took 6 jars 🤦🏾♀️🤣 thanks for sharing your experience 🥰🥰
Thanks Lucy! And I completely understand lol. I enjoyed being natural but I also feel like my hair flourishes better being relaxed
Aww thank you so much love. And I'm glad u could be a source of inspiration on your natural hair journey ✨️

Great video! During my relaxed to natural transition I realized it wasn't what was on top of my head but inside it that had to change, my mindset towards my God-given features had been programmed from a very young age. Love who you are and Who's you are, relaxed or natural!
Thanks 💕
Thank you so much Deb 💕
I can appreciate the time and effort you put in. It turned out so pretty. Healthy, shiny and smooth. Just beautiful. Great video!
Thank you so much ✨️
Your hair looks great.
Thanks!
Thank you 💕
Nobody is going to judge you for what you choose. Natural or relaxed, you look stunning in both! Keep it up girl 😊❤️

I wish I had all that hair.
Thank you so much. I hope you feel better soon
Me to!! I went natural for a while then i went back to relaxed and i am just happier!! We have to do what’s best for us as long as our hair is healthy and we’re happy that’s all that matter relaxed or natural!!!! You look great ma’am!!
aww thank you so much!
Gurl, you just inspired me to go natural, now you returning to the relaxer. Your hair is thick & beautiful both ways
Lol aww thanks girl. I'm glad I could be a source of inspiration. Now the sky is the limit ✨️
How's relaxed life treating you?
@@evangelasmith8849 very well. 🦋
@@SW33TSPARKL3 I'm certainly inspired ✨️
I have thick hair like yours permed it a year ago after 3 years of natural hair... Its still long and healthy-- I just dont over do the heat and I still use the same moisture routine... No breakage.
Yass! I'm glad you found a good routine that's working for you.
I saw a lot of people that do this kind of things wrong on their hair and you did it perfectly and alone. Also, your hair is beautiful natural and relaxed. Congrats!
Greetings from Brazil ;3
Thank you so much!!
Love your results sis, and I think your layers are cute too! Hair is to be enjoyed, so always do what works for you 💛💛💛
Thank you so much Kay. Hug those beautiful babies for me. They're growing sooo fast.
You made the process of flat ironing your hair look so easy. Yes your hair looks beautiful and healthy.
Thank you so much
Girrrlllll...natural, relaxed, short or long. I loooove your hair. The strength and texture. God bless you and those lil gents of yours. ❤❤❤
Awwww thank you Kimmy boo. God bless your family as well 🙏🏾 ❤️
This is a little late, but your hair is still so beautiful ❤️ after all these years natural or relaxed. I've been following you for years ,but haven't watched in sometime 💜🦋it's great to be back and see what you've done to your beautiful hair 💜🦋
Thank you so much!! Welcome back hun. It's always nice to see an OG subscriber 🥰
I am amazed by your skill and dexterity in handling your hair from start to finish.
I could swear you just came from the salin, such volume, and length! Very beautiful, you're amazing.
Thank you so much Sharon ✨️
You did an amazing job! Your hair is gorgeous and healthy. Even the back that that wasn't fully relaxed turned out to be great. Enjoy this nice new change ❤
Awww Thankss ✨️
I've been loose natural, I've had perms/relaxers and now I have locs for 6 years and I want to tell you that YOU DID A BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL JOB!!!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍
Thanks! 💓
@@SW33TSPARKL3 Hey Sis! It was October. ☺😊☺
I did the same thing. I was natural for 5 years. That was long enough lol. your hair still is thick and healthy. looks good ❤
Thank you Miah 💓
I'm definitely going to relax my hair
...
Thank you hun. Keep me posted on your results
Don't worry about them Stephanie
Natural, or relaxed, your hair is always beautiful...❤
Thank you Janine. I really appreciate that 😇
Love your hair. I have been natural for a few years and I'm ready to change as well. Great video. Your hair looks beautiful. ❤
Thank you so much. Go for it!
Aww thank you so much. Your comment truly made me smile😇🫶🏾
I relate to you 100%
First time 2 your channel...great job! Hair is thick, healthy, and fab! I echo those that say do you...can't believe ppl are negative about what a grown woman wants to do with hair...just hair ppl...
Thank you so much hun 💗
I was going to go natural (again) because my hair wasn’t growing with the relaxer. I decided to try braids before I went ahead & gave myself a buzz cut. The braids helped my hair grow so much I changed my mind & my hair routine. I realized I could have healthy relaxed hair, I just needed to give it a break every now & again. Last relaxer was in august & I’ll do it again next month.
That's awesome that u found a good routine that works for you. That's the key.
That's so awesome. For me, it was going back relaxed 💕
Beautiful job, sis! Your hair texture and cut was beautiful ❤
Thank you so much 🤗
She's Back, Love it
Lol thanks Gwen💫
Great job!! You looked good either way, but definitely welcome back to the relaxed side. 😊#healthyhairrelaxedornatural
Thank you so much Sameerah 💓
Thank you for posting this. I just did the same thing last night and nobody knows. Didn’t want to hear nothing negative about my hair.
Most definitely. How is your hair doing currently?
You did a good job!!!! Your hair looks good. That creme of nature stuff is bomb! Looking forward to seeing your growth. :)
Lol thanks love! Yes, definitely can't go wrong with ORS. It's a reliable staple.
O final que vale a pena, o sorriso maravilhoso que amou, sem contar a autoestima que vale muito, parabéns arrasou
Awww thank you so much ✨️
Wow! Your God-given natural hair was so absolutely stunningly beautiful, thick, and healthy ❤
Thank you so much 🥰
Girl, you got me contemplating grabbing a box or three next time I go to the store 😅 Looks amazing!
Lol I completely understand 😅
I have 4c hair course hair and although I never had an issue with a relaxer, I tried going natural for over 5 years and I struggled with tangles, fairy knots and dryness. I relaxed my hair a few months ago and I am doing so much better. We can’t be influenced by others, we have to do what works best for us. I have done my own relaxers but like you I have course hair and my arms get tired since it takes 25+ minutes. I’m usually at 30 minutes by the time I have finished.
You spoke to my soul!
🩷
Te quedo estupendo felicidades hermosa!!! Me super encantó ❤😊
Thank you Sirena 💓
Why do natraul people always feel that they need to attack people who choose to relax their hair. ITS THEIR HAIR NOT YOURS allow people to do what makes them happy. I was natrual for about 2 years and it was not for me. I went back to relaxers and have not regret it not once. At tgey end of the day its all about how u take care of YOUR hair. U look good sweetie.
Thanks boo 💓
O que a gente não faz para ficar linda! Parabéns pelo vídeo! 😍
thank you! ✨️
E ficou realmente linda! Trabalho perfeito!
