    your texturizer videos are literally my FAVORITE and are so informative! you inspired me to go back to texturizing my hair and, yup i went through the same thing girl, sew ins/braids and it broke my hair 😂😂 but i’m working on getting back to the basics with my hair/texturized hair routine ❤

      aww thank you so much! I'm so happy my videos inspired you! I'm trying to stay on my routine as well. With summer approaching I am just working on strengthening my hair so I can at least do a few protective styles this summer

    Make sure to TIME YOUR TEXTURISER. I do my hair in FOUR PARTS. I do one quarter at a time. TEN MINUTES ONLY. Set your alarm on your phone and watch the time as you apply. Don’t go over the time no matter what. Simple. ❤️

      Yeahh now I know lol. But now I think I have different texturizes so idk what time to do for my next touch up but I’ll figure it out

    Protective styles don’t work for everyone and I find they tend to do a lot of damage! I just texturized my hair and I’m going to texturize my daughter’s hair too. No more braids. No more sew ins wigs etc (for me) . I’m planning to do touch ups every 4 months ( me and my oldest have 3c/4a hair and my youngest has 4b/4a ) . I’m actually excited to just let them wear their hair out and Elsa braids etc lol. Like less manipulated styles . I really feel like it’s protective styles that hurt our hair! Our hair also needs to be washed and treated bi weekly so when I have my sew ins for 4 weeks i definitely see more breakage. Idc I’m over the weaves etc

      100% agree! I am not ruling out protective styles all together but I am giving myself a 3 week limit for the styles I choose moving forward and definitely creating routines around how to maintain the moisture in my hair while have the styles in and definitely not having them back to back.

    I'm texturizing in January after my trim! I've been going back & forth, I've been trying to heat train my hair for the past 2 years & even that is too much work. I went back & watched ur old videos & learned from your mistakes. No offense but when you 1st applied the texturizer, you did your roots 1st, should be midshaft & ends, roots dead last. & You should incorporate a bond builder into your haircare routine since you had a chemical service (K-18). I'm not really a protective style girlie, I want a vintage wash & set with hair rollers & it's NOT happening with this hair. Anyways I ordered some K-18 & the texturizer. Once I get my K-18 I'll prep my hair to be texturized over the next 3 months. I'm at 11 inches right now & I should have a full 12 inch bob before I texturize. Length isn't super important to me, I think for a vintage hairstyle 10-18 inches is fine. I love your videos & your hair looks great, just looks like you blew your hair out.

      @beesadditytv  Рік тому +5

      No offense taken & thanks soo much for the input. I never heard anyone say roots last but it makes so much sense lol. And i got back to using my Olaplex every other wash day and I've seen some strength. I've heard about K-18, so I'll definitely do my research and try to grab it before the Sephora sale is over! Hope to chat some more in my future videos, thanks so tuning in!

      @@beesadditytv If olaplex bond treatment is too expensive, L'Oreal bond kit is cheaper and also the OG

    Relaxed my hair for over 3 decades than decided last year to go natural, hair began looking to thin when relaxed. Was natural for about 8 months than decided to try a texturizer, hair became to frizzy in the heat. Hair tolerated the first texturizer well, the retouch, done in September, resulted in me having to cut off a large amount of hair last week, ends split and hair felt drier than it does naturally. Decided I will texturize my edges in the front and my "kitchen" area only. Will continue to follow your journey to see how it goes, maybe I did something wrong.

      hmmm interesting.. thank you so much for sharing your experience! I will keep a look out for any signs that may be similar to what you described. I think the main problem for me is that since I touch up myself I am not paying attention to the time I'm leaving the texturizer on so I'm left with inconsistent patterns due to inconsistent processing times. I just have to be a little more detailed. & Thank you for following the journey, welcome to the family!

    Probably stop getting protective styles so soon after texturizing. I believe I have similar hair now that you are explaining the breaking and drying aspect. I had the same problems growing up. Over the past few years I’ve used creamy shea butter and made my own hair oils after doing research and it has helped tremendously

    Can you go swimming with texturized hair? A lot of people are saying you can’t because of the chemicals you put in your hair…

    • @WilliamsPinch
      @WilliamsPinch 11 місяців тому +7

      Yes, but never leave sea salt or chlorine in your hair. Wash and condition after swimming

    • @beesadditytv
      @beesadditytv  2 місяці тому

      Tbh I don’t swim often but if I did I probably wouldn’t let the chlorine or salt water stay in my hair 2 long. Within the next day I’d wash my hair for sure

    Ma’am , Do u feel like it takes longer to process low porosity hair with a texturizer or relaxer ?

    • @beesadditytv
      @beesadditytv  7 місяців тому +1

      I don't think so. My hair is on the finer side and my natural curl pattern was never really "tight" so processing was faster for me but I don't think it had anything to do with my porosity type.

    You just stressed your hair way to much that’s all girl! Your hair becomes weaker due to bond breakage. Now you know and you won’t do it again! Great video for people who do not understand you can’t do all of this with a chemical in.
