Go behind the scenes with this footage of Kieren Hebden of Four Tet explaining his latest live performance rig featuring two laptops, hardware drum machines, and custom hardware modular synth all seamlessly brought together by MODEL 1. True to the PLAYdifferently ethos Four Tet is pushing the boundaries of what a DJ mixer can do, thinking outside the box and using MODEL 1’s CUE A & B as extra auxiliary sends incorporating an 8 point surround sound system and external FX’s to give him maximum flexibility and performance freedom.

they are using touchosc to control it. behringer xr18 would be a cheapish way to achieve this

I dig that idea of the surround sound system. Do they have that option at all the clubs their playing at or do they have to travel with the surround sound system?

The only feature missing or would be sweet addition is midi and an optional curve adjust.

I have this mixer but it doesn’t quite work well with the Pioneer RMX 1000 Station. The RMX works fine. Whether I come out of the auxiliary or booth to the RMX then back to the mixer via return it just doesn’t sound right. Could there be something wrong with the mixer or something else? Thanks so much.

Headphone issue you should run that signals into a separate mixer.
Right when i thought you would say the main issue is the lack of a master insert?
Am i the only one that has an issue or i dont know how to add my external Master isolator Thru this mixer while being able to dj in my headphone for those late night sets?

I NEED this mixer. It's out of my price range as of now- and I'm forced to use another 6 channel mixer that, if I named, you guys would crush my tiny ego. It's insult worthy.
.but you go ahead and find a 6bchannel DJ mixer with 2 sends and a crossfader.
