I just went in for a driver fitting last week, and I tried both of these and a Cobra. I was fitted into the Ping G430 Max with a Sacks Parente Newton Motion shaft. I can't wait to have it in my bag! Mind-blowing.
Interesting video. I like the absolute truth about the launch numbers relative to your action. You swing the club very nicely with excellent speed. But your carry numbers sound more like they should than what seems like jacked up numbers of tour pros. From a commentary stand point you might consider becoming an auctioneer if your current profession doesn’t work out. Great explanations and lots of detail.
I bought both. I agree with you. The taylormade was more draw biased. I like the ping but every so often the slice seemed to come back. Never had the slice with qi10. I play the taylormade in the lowest setting in the upright option. I will probably try the non upright in the lowest setting to see if it straightens it out just a little bit more.
Interesting. Didn’t notice that but barely tested the driver with the 28g weight. Went lighter so there was less droop and it fixed my low toe strikes. Had the LST previously in the 9° but had to go to 7.5° in the 10k to get my numbers in the sweet spot
Fantastic review. I have the PING G430 9 degree with PING ALTA Quick shaft (45g), stock set up at 9deg, and 3g of lead tape on the bottom heel to give it a bit more draw bias. I like to keep the rear draw/fade weight in the center. So far it’s working well for me; 8 hcp, 90 mph swing speed, getting around 195 carry; I might be able to get faster swing speed, but the forgiveness is better for me than the TM- for a senior gal, I’m happy.😮
Hey question for you - I'm just getting back into golf so I don't know how much driver swing is. Have not been fitted. I heard 10.5 degree is better for an average swing but I have an opportunity to get a PING G430 9 degree for $200 which seems like a steal right now. Would I be okay with the 9 degree or should I look for a 10.5?
@@Thataintnothing just read an article about how the majority of pro golfers don't use the newer or newest equipment, that most don't change their drivers much if at all...🤷♂️🏌️

Great video, went to a Taylormade demo day at my club a couple of months ago and ended up with the Qi10 Max after gaming a Mizuno ST190 for about 6 years. Gained 20 yards carry, very easy to hit, and it is draw bias, although I'm still able to hold off enough to hit it straight or with a little butter cut when needed. Did not hit anything else, but do wish I had tried the Ping and maybe Titleists newest offering. The Ping is too busy on top for my liking as I prefer a clean look with no distractions. The Qi10 looks great from the top.
The head weight difference is definitely skewing the results a bit. Either lighten the Ping or shorten the shaft a bit to match the swing weights. I think Ping and Cobra promote going slightly shorter driver lengths to increase center face contact which provides the best ball speeds and results.
Funny how it’s such a personal thing. I couldn’t stop turning the ping left. Qi10 was just a straight bomber for me with Ventus black 6x…. Ping sounds so tinny in comparison
Yeah I'm a shorter player with a 44inch shaft and the Qi10 LS can really put it out there for me best so far is 336y on a lengthy par4. Pretty dang good for a 44inch shaft lol

I’m swinging a Ping 430 LST. 9 deg. Extra stiff I think 70 gram shaft. It’s heavy but I like that and I’m comfortable with that. Carry 285. Around 13-14 deg dynamic loft. Around 3k spin. Trying hard to get that to 2.5k. Practice practice practice.
When I swing 100mph on the Qi10 max was getting 148mph ball speed but spin was still similar at low 3000s and very much overdraw for me. Wanted to like it bc it was so easy to get speed but hated the spin and left miss
I’m a ping guy and swing around 90-92 mph. I went with the Qi max. The ping spun pretty low and. The TM kept the ball in the air. I’m driving it better than I’ve ever have
The standard Black Ops would be the closest and could add a heavier back weight to get it over 10K MOI. While I didn’t do a direct test, I think that model would likely be more a more neutral biased ball flight compared to these. Possibly similar to the Mizuno ST-230 Max.
I hated the QI10 max, hated the shape, felt super light, and I’d just didn’t work for me at all. The “core” model for me personally was the best of the 3. Owned all three, and ended up selling all 3. I’m a huge tinkerer, just a hobby of mine I guess. I don’t let it effect my actual bag, unless I find something worth replacing something. For now the driver is the only club I’m changing, so I just picked up a GT2. Probably gonna hit it tomorrow. I have hit it already, just not the one I actually bought. Hoping it works out, cause I really like the way it looks.

Awesome video as always! What would happen if we switched the stock 28 gram back weight in the G430 to the 22 gram weight from the LST? I know SW would come down but what can we expect performance wise?
I tried this, with both the 25g weight from the G430 Max, and the 22g weight from the G430 LST, and what I noticed out of mine was that I dropped a little over 1 degree of launch, and lowered my spin rate about 300-350 rpm with the 22g weight. I'm currently running the 25g weight on mine, at standard 9 degree loft, and that seems to be my sweet spot right now. But going with the 22g weight should net LST-like performance.
I’ve played ping all my life. Now 66, I switched to the TM Qi10 because of distance and control. I added 25 yrds off the tee, increased my swing speed from 102 to 107+. Looking a 3 wood now.

Great Video. It looks to me like you are teeing too low. The tee is not moving, so the ball is picked clean from the tee. That means that the ball is low on the face. The great drivers pop the tee in the air after contact.
Nice review but I think you need to have a high-mid handicapper testing as well. The configuration that you are using would not be applicable to them and not be helpful in selecting a club. As an 18 handicapper whose slices off the tee have be fixed by a draw biased driver (g430 SFT). I can't attest to the need for feedback from similarly skilled golfers. All the best.
How much of human factor is affecting your evaluation? We all know we don’t always swing the same. Perhaps using mechanical hitters is more accurate. By the way, you can become auction announcer!
I'm letting you now. Every head is different for every different shaft. Stop. My titliest 910 driver with a 65 gram shaft will smoke all these ....post about the shafts. C mon man
@68kcfan ...exactly...the shafts are a personal tool for different swings. Nobody swings the same. Feel and weight. It's complicated as you know. I'd never promote a driver head. I'd promote the shafts.
Put that $600 into lessons with a good pga teacher, and you will hit any driver much better. These drivers help with draws and fades, not hooks and slice. With increased distance in heel and toe shots, all it will do is send your ball deeper into the woods or water!!!😢
Why are you showing us so many mis-hits? Edit them out. Just show us 3 or 4 well struck shots. Also, show us the numbers, you talk so fast, show too many mis-hits, it's difficult to keep track of the numbers.
Why did you speed-up your speaking? Or do you really speak so fast? If you stick to the important facts and figures in a calmer rhythm it would be more interesting to me.

What you "see" is part of it, but what is measured and validated results is what actually matters.
Whether you're a fitter for 55 years or not, the truth is the truth no matter who speaks it.
I guess I missed that “fitting” class at MIT! 😊
good stuff. what course is this??
How much time did you spend trimming audio?
seeing the full send portion, the Ping is so much more forgiving...
Hard to beat the Ping off the toe, which is where I tend to be on full sends
The PING is the LST the low spin model
Went with ping G430 max 10k love it but it cracked on the head in less than a month. That sucks to pay so much and this happens. I should have stuck with TM
Everyone online has been complaining about Taylor made quality control being horrible lately
The toe misses with the G430 10k are actually unreal. The spin says really close to where it should be and the ball speed retention is crazy
Has the face on Qi 10 cracked yet ?
Just got the 10k, coming from AI Max and 💎💎💎. Feels more forgiving and does spin a little more. Balls fly very straight and i almost never feel the head twist. Needs a counter balanced shaft or play it 1/2 or even 3/4" short.
what do you think about ai smoke?
A good cigar is better.
Very curious about that comment at the end that says I wouldn't be fitted into a Max driver to begin with. I'm skeptical of this and not understanding fully. I have a similar swing speed 115 to 122 and it's a violent swing so fast tempo. I'm only 5'5" but have quite the aggressive swing. Yeah so I'm like a three to six handicap I want the most fucking forgiving driver on the market is what I would think. I don't know I'm either going to buy the 10K Max or the new Callaway triple diamond Max but you can't find a good review on the trouble diamond Max right now
It looks like the Ping is slightly longer. Let’s see how they perform.
Great Video. It looks to me like you are teeing too low. The tee is not moving, so the ball is picked clean from the tee. That means that the ball is low on the face. The great drivers pop the tee in the air after contact.
Love my turbulators. Aerodynamic weapon
What are all the "he talks to fast" comments on about? I watched in 1.5x speed, still perfectly legible... people really will complain about anything.
I didn't like the lead caption "Not Even Close" when the final analysis was "pretty close." This is too click-baity for my taste, Sorry
What about the part of quality. Taylortrash will crack and fall apart. I sell clubs and they are total garbage
Sell me some good garbage bub.
Cobra Darkspeed ls would blow them away 😂😅😊
And a ventus 6x black would blow them away 😅😂😊
How much of human factor is affecting your evaluation? We all know we don’t always swing the same. Perhaps using mechanical hitters is more accurate. By the way, you can become auction announcer!
This guy talks faster than my girlfriend!
don't let them meet Bro
ping g400 is way better than G430 I bought g430 sold my g400 but I regret so sold my ping g430 and bought back my g400
The ping is more long gated head
Did this guy just say, "I'm sweating like a hawk"?
Like a hog..
Ping 10k > BRNR Mini > Qi10 Max
I'm letting you now. Every head is different for every different shaft. Stop. My titliest 910 driver with a 65 gram shaft will smoke all these ....post about the shafts. C mon man
What does that mean different head for different shaft? It's the exact head. The shaft is a personal choice
With increased distance in heel and toe shots, all it will do is send your ball deeper into the woods or water!!!😢
everything will seem fade biased after you drop the loft.
Blimey I thought this was on fast forward or the bit no one listens to on a commercial
🤔
M8 your commentary there just sounded like you were on helium. I couldn’t watch it.
Callaway smoke better
Weird shafts
Breathe...
Why are you showing us so many mis-hits? Edit them out. Just show us 3 or 4 well struck shots. Also, show us the numbers, you talk so fast, show too many mis-hits, it's difficult to keep track of the numbers.
Because we mis hit it most of the time..this is the type of reviews we need
Why did you speed-up your speaking? Or do you really speak so fast? If you stick to the important facts and figures in a calmer rhythm it would be more interesting to me.
Right biased, big time
18 minutes of speed talking on helium, no thanks
Talks to fast and shows no charts to see numbers
PXG next! 🐊🏌⛳️🦅🇺🇲
If you don't normally slice the ball, the normal qi10 would be much better than the max.
Lowest torque shaft you can find......
