    There is a lot of hype behind this driver and it certainly performs. It’s a great driver, however if you heel it like me, you will absolutely go right, sometimes far right. I tried aiming left of center, closing the face by lofting up, etc but ultimately went back to AI Smoke. Not discounting the driver, just didn’t work out for me. Good video, thank you!!

    I found this too. Was looking at the 430Max and tried it back to back with the 430 Max 10k and I hit the 10k repeatedly right. That’s my fail shot and the drive I’m trying to avoid. With a few adjustments on weights etc I found the 430Max much straighter. It’s perhaps not quite as forgiving and maybe 10yrds shorter but I’m more consistent with it. If I can on the fairway I score well and that’s what I need. I don’t mind the sound of the 430Max at all (I rather like the loudness) and I feel very confident with it in comparison to the 10k. I’m a mid handicapper with moderate swing speed. Oh and the 430Max was on sale too.

    Hi mate, great G430 10K review and just to tell you that this right bias can be cured or moved to the left by the replacement of a different shaft. I found the Ping Alta CB S and Ping Tour2 R and the basic Fujikura Ventus Blue 6R set in neutral position started the ball slightly left or to the centre and avoided fading for more than 90 percent of my drives. On my older G425 Max I had a tendency to favour the left side and cured it by using the flat hosel settings in neutral on my Ping Alta CB S or R shafts. All new Taylormade Q10 Max and Q10 LS clubs favour the right side too!

    Great video, switched from a fitted TSi2.. I usually draw the ball and started pushing on misses and fading regularly with the 10k with the ping CB shaft... just read that you used your fitted G425 shaft, so the shaft shouldn't be the issue... have only taken it out the the range and course once, will keep on swinging before deciding if it's for me.

    Even though the 430 has a right bias i see that as a positive for you. It means you can have confidence to aim slightly down the left and know more times than not it will drift back towards the middle of the fairway but with the 425 it could go either way which is not what you want in any golf club let alone driver.
    A one way miss is far better than a 2 way miss.
    I was considering having a fit for the 10k but you and a couple of others have confirmed that this club more than likely would not suit me as I already fade the ball.

    The complete absence of serious left misses vs missing equally on both sides seems like a positive for you, means you can aim slightly left of centre with confidence. The 425 seemed to have more serious misses despite more on fairway. Is it longer than g425?

    • @S.forbes
      @S.forbes Місяць тому +1

    If you are finding that it is more right biased. There are 2 things you can do to help offset this trend. If you have not purchased the driver getting a lower loft then turning the loft up will assist in avoiding that bias. If you own the driver then Ping allows the driver to be set more flat which will encourage a more draw/left bias.

      @matthewthompson6329 Ok, let me get this straight. Ping has had their dot system for decades now. If I were to take a blue or green dot and give it to a person who is 5 feet tall (short wrist to floor requiring an orange or red dot) and they were to address the ball the toe of their club would be pointing to the sky. I.e. toe up. If I then gave them a more appropriate "flat" orange dot club the toe would be more down and the club head would sit flatter to the ground. Thus more flat would push the toe down.
