I got the single-length irons and it's the same up top with 4° until the 8i then it moves to 5°. The 4i is 18° though so its really nice.

Got fitted to the 243's in the spring, got the whole set 5-GW and they're the best irons I've ever hit. I hit them so good. I love them.

Did you weigh or swingweight these? I just got a single length set and the PW seems way heavier than every other club followed by the 9i.

I bought a second bad set of these and the first thing I noticed is the sound is more muffled and felt like a forged irons which is surprising.. really love the i230

Managed to get a brand new set of 241’s in my custom setup (2 degrees up, 1/2” longer, kbs tour shaft in stiff.. and even with my z-grip) for half price at a local shop, so I couldn’t resist grabbing them. I already own a set of MP-5’s so I knew what I would be getting into by getting the blades! I’m a 15 hcp (13 was my lowest in the summer, but I also count rounds in the winter here towards my hcp, so every year the hcp goes up by a few points due to that)… am I good enough to play them? I would say “not when it counts”, so for competitions and qualifying rounds I will still use my trusty 921’s (or maybe look into the 243 or 245’s or their successors as a replacement), but just as with the MP-5’s, I will use the 241 for “fun rounds” in the summer, when it doesn’t matter when I have a mishit here or there. They’re also amazing for practising on the range. You really learn to get more consistent with your ball-striking when using those, as you will feel each mishit in your fingers (especially now in the winter ;)) Are blades difficult to play? Well, they’re not easy, but for anyone with a mid-handicap I would say they’re not as bad as everyone makes them out to be, and as I said, they’re a great training tool to improve!

You werent wrong in calling it plastic. A polymer is some type of plastic combined with another substance. Likely carbon in this case.

I play these avoda one length, I struggle to hit out of the rough with that lighter head, I’d be curious if you have hit them out of the rough and feel the same?

I guess I can’t really speak on the credibility or possibility of Homa switching to Cobra. But I think that the use of the qi10 woods is more because of how good they are I can’t count how many pros I’ve seen switch to them.

If custom. Couldn't they get the weight more to your liking? And in the long irons people have been getting the driving iron, more forgiving model, and should have tried it.

Its funny because every objective, data based review i have seen shows that they are basically the same in performance terms.

Feeling same thing with a one length 19 degree hybrid. Great strikes, but everything leaking right for someone that generally hits a draw.

I just bought the Qi10 Max with Tensei blue 65 stiff. Love to hear it's fighting slice. I do have a fade tendency. I liked the G430 Max, but didn't like the sound and feel as much. Eventually, both stacked up almoste identically, took the TM for looks and draw bias. Completely discarded the Ai Smoke though. Good review.

Thanks for the video! With the weights of the heads being very different, does the swing weight change or did they compensate for that during the build to make the swing weights the same?

If going with a lighter weight graphite shaft I would say one would need one that is counter balanced or at very least slightly counter balanced. This could help with the head feeling heavy. Kinetixx Ballistic is slightly counter balanced and I heard VA Synster is as well.

I've been playing Mizuno irons for 30 years and have tried others including Hogan, Wilson, Titleist, and Calloway. Nothing else feels like Mizuno imho! Looking to get fitted for the 243's or 245's or even a combo set next year!

I have been playing the combo set of these (4-LW) for about 3 months now and loving them. I agree with a lot of what you said, especially when it comes to the 4 iron. Its more like a modern 2 iron with the loft and head size, but does give you a bit of help. I ended up swapping out the 4 iron and put my iCorssover 2 iron (18 degree) and found that to be a better mix with the rest of the Avoda set and muhc more forgiving. Overall the Avoda irons are my favorite irons in a long time and looking forward to next season with them.

Numbers and dispersion don’t look that good. And chipping and pitching with the long length SW and LW would be tough.

Need to get rid of those 90 gram graphite… try a heavier steel shaft you. Might solve all your feel problems with the head weight and numbers will be better.

Customer service is horrible. Purchased two sets of avoda irons trying to customize the shaft, it took me over 2months to get a reply from customer service.

I play the mizuno mp 20's up to a 5 iron but I would like a 4 iron that's going to go higher and further while still spinning.. I bought a 223 4 iron and I didn't like that you could see the back of the head behind the top line and I didn't love the feel. I really just want 5-10 more yards over a standard 4 iron without losing too much of the good stuff....do you have any recommendations?

The 150 offset on paper is 1.5 for pw compared to 0.98 for 243. You just noticed less offset from 150?

instead of talking about gram weight of the heads... talk about swing weight. D4? D6?

What would happen if you swung Bryson's irons faster than him? Would the gear effect change to produce worse results? Mostly asking for if a set of iron bulges were designed for someone at a slower speed but then they learned how to swing faster, would those irons become more detrimental and to what degree?

The MP 5 was the best looking golf iron ever produced by anybody. If Mizuno reintroduced it there would be a demand for it.
