I have absolutely no idea how I missed it... but it has come to my attention hat I forgot to add the level GREECE to my tier list! I truly apologize for this massive error on my part. I guess Greece completely slipped my mind as a playable map because I literally ALWAYS choose Russia in the tournament mode....
That being said I decided to give Greece a try in order to rank it properly and overall I'd say it's a solid B tier map. It's way to large and feels like two different levels combined into one. Not enough going on and too wide open for my liking. But it does have the neat ship section and winding roads going through the buildings on the mountain to help bump it up from a C to a B tier.
CW Tomorrow 😉 Dessa doesn't think he can pull off my challenge.....
@@wallaceshawn-zk8iwit’s true! I can’t!
@@dessadoo I believe you!
Another one of Nick’s world famous signature tier lists!
The Peacock series revitalized my love for these games. I’m glad to see there are channels out here that cover this gaming series.
The nostalgic feeling of sitting in my basement in 1995 playing the original twisted metal without a care in The world is unmatched
A legend in the TM community. Great video!
Awesome list man! Idk why but Big Blue Stadium will always be my favorite map from TM HO. I just remember loading it up for the first time on my PSP and hearing Disaster Proof by LeVeL. I think Head-On is such an underrated game. Hopefully Playstation adds both versions of Head-On to the Playstation store In the future!
You are an absolute criminal, Nick. You forgot GREECE! HOW COULD YOU!?
Great video regardless, I agree with most of your takes.
What the hell... I went through every level I could choose from in deathmatch? Is greece a secret level you have to unlock?
@@VicariousNickGaming it's one of the ones you have to make a choice between it and Russia
@@FZRBrawler damn idk how I missed that. Whelp, I will have to go and play it quick and add it as a pinned comment where it should be placed! Thank you both for telling me because I truly had no idea this map existed lmao
while I havent played head-on a lot, its the first game where I didn't instantly put the roof top map in D-teir for insta-kill nonsense at the end of the game when I am soooo not in the mood XD. I also feel similarly about Paris and have trouble putting my finger on why. My current theory being that it feels less significant and the new more realistic scaling makes it impossible for the tower to dominate the horizon like it used to so it feels more like a bunch of nondescript roadways this time around. I give this video a solid S-tier, homie!
8:47 Needles saw it was 5 o'clock and it was time to clock out.
Yes! You like the TM2 version of the levels better. I don’t think it’s the level itself that makes it worse. I feel like it’s just how the game feels and how the ai acts that plays a big part into how the levels feel a lot more boring.
Have you ever thought about making a video ranking the music from all the levels?
I would love a deluxe remaster of Black that incorporates the levels from Lost as selectable levels.
My thoughts on the levels of TM Head on (the PS2 version):
. Big Blue Stadium: its an ok level and its nice that they added a intro before you fight the other competitors, the rock band music its pretty cool but the level isn't that much interesting after that.
. LA: This level has a better design than the one from TM3 but feels shallow compared to the one from TM2. I like that its in Hollywood and the are areas are mostly from movies warehouse sets. My only complaint is that its small.
. Paris: A little better than its TM2 self as it ls much bigger but less colorful, the music isnt as good as the one from TM2. Nothing else to say.
. Egypt: An improvement over the TM3 version, this level is far more easier and more secured to combat enemies without being overwhelmed. 10 times better than its TM3 version.
. Roman Ruins: its an ok level but nothing much to said about it. It would work better if it was a labyrinth level like Minion's Maze.
. Greece: Another ok level with a cool music. The ship section was pretty neat but doesn't have too much aside the minigame.
. Russia: This level is great and i like it that its on a snowy time set. What i love about this level its the nukes that you can use to blow up areas or enemies. One of my favorites levels in the game.
. Monaco: I like this level for being like a personal stage for Twister especially since there are other formula cars racing without caring for the other cars fighting. The mini game was good but the level could have been a little longer.
. Transylvania: As much as i find this level pretty fun, this level feels like it could have worked for TM4, Small Brawl or as another sub boss level for Minion if he was added to Head One. I would have wished that they added some sort of rain effect or lighting to give the stage some spooky vibe. A decent level with some wasted potential on it.
. Tokyo Streets: Doesnt feel as dynamic or as colorful as Hong Kong. The problem is that it feels bland and doesn't have too much in it. The music and the night sky with a greenish cloud effect is a nice touch though.
. Tokyo Rooftops: I am not a fan of this level mainly because it feels small and doesnt have that dark and gloomy vibe compared to its TM3 self. Sadly the minigame of this level, along with Monaco's are the only miniganea that i enjoy.
In conclusion and in my opinion, Head On just feels bland and could've have had a lot of potential for it but it's just doesnt have it. My least favorite one in the series.
13:40, "It makes you want to kill a ton of people" LOL
In a game of course!
@@VicariousNickGaming i know, i just couldn't help laughing, i love your content about the TM universe
I like the first level because the song disaster proof
YES! BEST TM EVER MADE!
TM HO's Egypt battleground is way better than TM3's
I feel like Tokyo Rooftops isn't a bad level, but its definitely a disappointing one.
Also find it kind of amusing calling the Monaco stage a bit small when it's probably larger than the actual country.
Judging by TM levels I guess you love winter and winter levels in games. Am I right?
My favorites r LA, Monaco, Egypt & Russia. Greece is okay 😉
Nick..... Greece.......
