@@jkdredd Sweet Tooths Special will go through walls to get to you. YES More broken than TM2 Minion, he was both very durable and does a lot of damage while on an annoying level thats on fire.
In my view, the reason why Sweet Tooth is so overpowered in Twisted Metal 4 is because if you watch the intro to the game, it explains it. - He was very skilled in the twisted metal tournaments - When he won, he wished to be the star of twisted metal. Calypso granted his wish. So he became even stronger. - He then decided to overthrow Calypso and took his ring which collected souls. In the games intro it said that the ring gave strength to whoever was wearing it and the more souls that it took, the stronger it became. - So in other words, Sweet Tooth - who was already powerful, became exponentially more powerful after taking Calypsos ring. So his overpowered character and special makes sense game story-wise.
“Become the star of Twisted Metal” Calypso at that point should have twisted his wish or something but surprisingly he didn’t. 😂 and it lead to Sweet Tooth doing a DX crosschop taunt groin on him before overthrowing him.
Because Shadow and Thumper are even more broken. The only thing I feel is busted about Axel is his ram damage. His armor, special, speed, and handling are all okay but nothing else is really broken.
@@VicariousNickk The ram damage is all he needs. Even a new player can easily kill any regular AI opponent by freezing and ramming them. Thumper can also get easy kills from freezing, but you need a special for that, and given that Thumper's special has a very long regen time, that won't always be the case. Axel has constant access to the most broken dmg in the game, which puts him over Thumper imo. I think he's better than Shadow as well, but they're pretty close in terms of brokeness imo, so I can concede that point.
@@ShagthePoker I disagree entirely being that I am terrible at TM2 but both shadow and thumper make the game easy. Axel I never could get past new York. 1:56 Yeah Juggernaut is playable in multiplayer, you can even open the back doors and have teammates drive in to use the 2 turrets on top which is really fun, though in team modes each team can only have Juggernaut once, and if he dies that team doesn't get to use him again
Kinda suprised about TMB Roadkill not being on this list he is insanely broken especially when controlled by the ai because he will almost always get a full missile charge hit most of the time.
I honestly was debating on having him at #10 but I ultimately decided against it because overall every character in TMB (except for Brimestone) is pretty damn good and CAN be seen as overpowered with the right person behind the controller. Alot of these were based on first-time players picking up the controller and being able to destroy the competition without much effort at all
I loved playing split screen with my brother in twisted metal 2012 in the small map with the football stadium. We would just drive around the outside of the stadium wiping everyone out like a freight train. Sometimes we would drive in opposite directions so we could see the aftermath carnage we make.
You should do a vid like this one but for enemy cpu behaviors. Like outlaw 2 being passive and basically full health at the end of a level. Or roadkill from tmb shooting his op special across the map and killing you
I know TM3 Darkside is NON-playable boss, but his special weapon seems busted in my opinion, you freeze-burn enemy, switch to other weapons, then switch back to special weapon, repeat, you can kill weak armored vehicles quickly, the ice doesn't put fire out, enemy is still on fire while being frozen.
Bruh!!! What about Mr. Slam?!?! You have good crash damage. Then you can grab your opponent, incapacitating them. Then you slam them up and down. AND you could also hit them with your rockets and bullets while all that is goin on. It was a wrap with that character! He shoulda gotten at least an honorable mention. Spectre too. That homing ghost missile of his was scary as hell. It seemed like it chased you forever and made me clinch up every time I knew it was shot at me lol
I totally would toss outlaw from small brawl somewhere in that list cuz if you use his special and keep hitting the button it does more damage AND gives you health so you can basically go up to any enemy and out heal their damage
Fun fact regarding Club Kid or rather nearly any special in TM3. You can use inputs to use your special in reverse. But Club Kids placement of his special is static. Also the delay placed on using your special use in reverse is removed. It's only as slow as your thumb's inputs. This mechanic allows you to place a whole load of Club Kids specials in one spot in rapid succession. Very fun. Very overpowered.
When I unlocked Sweet Tooth in TM4 I used to play him and just launch his special as soon as the level launched and then listened for when someone would die lol
Something about TM2 graphics, car design, levels, and characters was on point. Had that creepy, thriller action all through the game with a badass soundtrack.
Most of the broken characters come from the hidden characters in twisted metal 4. Moon buggy has the most overpowered special when you have 3 of them and use them all at once. It can kill any of the opponents within seconds.
I played with Thumper and sometimes with Axel. I took out most enemies with Thumper by just freezing them and using his special... works pretty much everytime
From my memory, juggernaut was playable in TM2012 online. I think they designed him to hold 2 other players with one person using the mounted gun and the other using the mounted missile launcher. It was really annoying to unlock him though as you needed a lot of match "points".
That is true, and I also believe he was only available in certain match types and because the vehicle is overpowered, it was made where each team can only use the Juggernaut once per multiplayer match.
Juggernaut was indeed playable online and quite busted. My Favorite thing to do with ClubKid is input the rear attack combo and stake the attacks until you run out of special I think the reason Warthog has so much Ram damage in 1 is because it's an armored Humvee-like vehicle and military grade stuff tends to tank more
I already knew Sweet tooth from tm4 was number 1. I loved playing as him. And I discovered a way to beat him like you said with proximity bombs. Just go through a warp thing and immediately place 3 proximities and move away and wait for him to go through the warp and bam he gets blasted off the map
TM2012 Juggernaut DEFINITELY is available in multiplayer since he has a multiplayer exclusive move where you have a second person drive into your trailer and takes control of the turret on the back. Honestly was kinda surprised Mr. Slam wasn't in here due to his AI always going for a freeze followed by the slam, and with proper aim you could yeet someone off the map easier than Twister.

Hmm…from the games I’ve played, in no particular order: Sweet tooth TM4 Thumper (1,2, & 4) Thumper (3 for completely different reasons) Axel TM2 Club Kid Warthog (1&2) Minion (2) Moon buggy (it’s the same as sweet tooth’s special but without a one shot. Just shoot 2 instead of 1) Sweet Tooth (TMB for solo play. Easy to get bonus damage) Spectre (TMB. There’s a reason every online match was this car only) Shadow is a glitch that’s hard to get in 2. Not many slopes. Honorable mention to calypso. I’ve seen the nuke 1-shot bosses. But it’s REALLY hard to time that perfect.
One interesting tidbit: in the Twisted Metal Black Online version, they made a bunch of balance changes. Most notably, they significantly nerfed Minion to make him fair. Axel & Warthog seemed to be the ones the TMAlliance veterans complained about the most, actually
Darkside in Small Brawl is even more broken than you know. After ramming someone with his special, you can hit the brakes immediately after the ram and not end the special. This method beats the U turn method by a mile. You can hit someone about 4x in one special if you time it right. It's the biggest exploit next to Sweettooth TM4.
Sweet Tooth's special in TM4 is basically this "I win because my mom said so" just like when we were kids playing a board game with our friends, it's just that busted. Camp somewhere nearby and then mash that button to unleash his special, lol. To be fair, it's kinda make sense in TM4's lore. I mean, Sweet Tooth is literally running the show, HE IS the star of the show, as his wish to become a Twisted Metal super star. And he has THE ring that he took from Calypso. I guess that's why they don't make Calypso as a playable character in other Twisted Metal games. Then he would be as broken as Sweet Tooth, lol.
Club Kid's power reaches further heights as an opponent. By the nature of his special and since computer enemies have infinite specials in TM3 and there's no shield, simply getting anywhere near a club kid on hard mode is almost guaranteed death
I would mostly agree with your pick for number 1. But once I figured out how to properly time using Shield and Hyperspace, Sweet Tooth was much easier. You just have to save your energy to counter his Special attack. The one who really gave me problems, no matter how many times I tried, was Minion from Black. It's not enough that he has the most armor out of any of the characters, no, he also has a shield that has several panels that you have to destroy, all the while he also has the most powerful special as well. Coupled with the fact that he unlimited special and turbo, it's impossible to get away from him. Oh, and did I mention that he also has 2 different specials? He either has a flamethrower, or launches homing fireballs, which he spams constantly. I can't win against him without dying several times. He's without a doubt one of the most frustrating enemies in all of TM.
Minion was the most busted in TM2. His special was three homing power missiles with a freeze missile, and his ram damage knocked off a quarter of your health. I don't count Minion in TM1 because he wasn't a playable character.
I thought Sweet Tooth was really broken on PS3 in multiplayer. His transformer Special benefited significantly from extra bullet damage. The only drawback was that you had to get a Killstreak for the extra bullet damage.
I love Thumper he was always my favorite character to play as in that game. I also love Auger and the trash man, I just love vehicles where you do a physical melee attack it's really fun how they work, grabbing and throwing them at the end of it. I don't know that I've ever actually beat twisted metal 1 or 2 though as they're hard games and i was just a kid when I played them. Really wish they would make another twisted metal, it would be beyond awesome with today's technology.
Honorable mention: even though you could have picked any Minion, I thought Minion from TM Black was absolutely broken. Regarding his 2 part special which attacks up close or at range, you can use it one way and force it to activate the other part although I forget the order: start far away and move in close, or start with enemies close and move far away. When you look at it that way, he's using both specials which alone are quite devastating.
Some honourable mentions based on my experience: - Mr. Grimm (TM: Black) : His Special Attack damage output is very high for non-unlockable character. The downside is you need a good aim to hit it. - Moon Buggy (TM4) : It's basically downgrade version of Sweet Tooth's special attack, but it's still powerful. - Mr. Slam (TM:Brawl) : It does has a good damage output but you have to be close to your enemy. It's very good in Treehouse (?) map. - Funnybomb (TM4 Custom Vehicle) : It's like mortar but on steroids. That's all from me. Cheers.
To me in TM3 Outlaw and Firestarter is also somewhat broken stack your Special and freeze your opponent and spam forward and rear attack using your Special same time and look how the health of your opponent drains so quickly.
Club Kid was the only character I could beat TM3 on any difficulty without cheating besides Minion but that's also cheating. His special was so much fun.
I always cheesed Sweet tooth on TM4 by going on the big tent and unloading all dmg and then knock him off if he supered just pop shield to live then repeat till death then stock up on health and ammo if needed an repeat xD
God this game was so sick as a kid, I was really a black guy in a pink low rider w a flame thrower fighting for my life in some jig saw like demented tournament. I always felt bad killing axle tho
I love that all the minions are number 2. Concistently he was the best character in the franchise, even in his weakest version. But not even his 5 versions combined are so broken as TM4's Sweet Tooth (the definition of broken).
Darkside in Twisted Metal Black was on a whole other level! If she was an opponent Dollface always pissed me off but if i was playing as her then it was game on 😆
I Remember Axel in Twisted Metal ps3 was super broken. it could kill anyone with 2 hits using 1 special. You could use him online kicking major butt and worse of all, he was a pre order only character, and he never came out as a paid dlc. He got nerfed but he was super strong still he wouldnt kill you in 2 hits anymore but after a special you just had to finish them off with a few bullets. It was fun while it lasted ^_^
Darkside TM1 PC version was so busted it wasn’t even funny. On top of armor and the ridiculousness of Ram damage. His special freezes enemies. And they take extra ram damage from any source during the freeze. But not many people actually knew or played TM1 on PC.
You failed because you left out Outlaw from TM3, prob should be at number 1. Their special when fired in reverse can be stacked and instantly launches any opponent out of the arena. It's actually really awesome, and yeah extremely op.
Mr slam tm2 while you special you can fire most weapons also and they auto hit the car your slamming. Time a freeze at the end and you can do it again.
Without giving too much to TM2, Axel could have easily made this list. The ram damage was insane in TM2, his special did great damage and had a short cool down and his armor was above average.
I always thought Specter was the best, not the strongest but his speed and ghost missiles made him nearly unkillable. I can't remember how many times I Merc'd my brother from across the map, throught all the walls
I try to play as characters that aren't too broken... unless I want to crush everything in my path. Also, shoutout to that Tier 1 Member with that insanely long username.
This is my fav series on my fav genre. rip vehicular combat... Club kid is super niche. I usually play firestarter because about 2 specials and some missiles can kill most normal cars. I always felt mr grim special regen speed and damage in TM Black set him above the others. Axle in TM2 can ram like no other and regen special quickly, butt Shadow is more my play style. I love all ps1 ps2 versions minus small brawl
where is Calypso TM 4? it has: the best armor among standard vehicles, good handling, a powerful nitro kick (no problems with speed anywhere) and the ultimate powerful special
Calypso is one of the better characters in 4, though I think I see people put Mr. Zombie at number 1 not counting bosses more often, mostly cause it's kinda hard to get the max damage on Calypso's nuke consistently
@@Rdotmop IMHO, Mr. Zombie needs additional weapons to implement the special, which needs to be found. In addition, without having significantly greater speed, it is noticeably inferior in armor. It can kill almost anyone with 2 special + auto lobs, but it is inferior in terms of game comfort. Mr Zombie was my favorite character until I discovered Calypso's full potential
I haven't played them all, but i thought spectre was over powered in tm1. All you have to do is make sure you are not where near the enemy and shoot your specials through the walls until the when is dead. You're fast enough to get away from nearly anyone
I'd change a couple things on my own list, but overall a pretty good list I probably wouldn't have Thumper in my top 10, he's really good but I put him behind Axel and Shadow, Axel is overpowered for pretty similar reasons as TM1 Warthog, and Shadow regenerates his special incredibly fast (also the extra damage on inclines for Shadow/remote bombs I believe also applies to anyone who is airborne so sometimes if you knock someone into the air with one you can shoot another if you're close enough for big damage) wheras Thumper regens a little slower and has a hard time getting all that damage without freezing the enemy first Darkside is really good in 2012, at least top 3, but I feel Shadow is the best in the game, and the stats on the select screen REALLY downplay him for some reason. He's got more armor than Road Boat and Meat Wagon (just under Outlaw armor) but is also faster than them, and his special is so crazy that they actually patched the game to nerf it if you play on the online servers (offline and LAN is the un-nerfed version). The normal special is pretty good but it gets stronger the further it travels so it takes a moment, but the alt special is the absurd part, you can just lob it at someone for a quick 70 damage which is already higher than most other cars can get that quickly, or you can let it cook like a remote and it will do 120 damage, even if they aren't in the center of the blast, it's crazy. I'd also consider putting Crazy 8 on my top ten since I've gotten good enough with the mashing to usually do about half an enemy's health with one special (on normal) but I'm not too sure if it's enough to put him in front of some of these other busted guys
Sweet Tooth's special in 4 is basically the equivalent getting your shirt pulled over your face and uppercutted severally several times 10/10 review

Sorry, saw a typo on my part. Btw excellent video!
Some honourable mentions based on my experience:
- Mr.
Cheers.
I could destroy as Mr Grimm in TMB, if you could hit that special the damage is crazy. Not normally broken, but with good aim he definitely can be.
Up down up on the d pad allows you to do the freeze shot.
Spectre was my favorite one ,ghost missile and speed were always fun
To me in TM3 Outlaw and Firestarter is also somewhat broken stack your Special and freeze your opponent and spam forward and rear attack using your Special same time and look how the health of your opponent drains so quickly.
Club Kid was the only character I could beat TM3 on any difficulty without cheating besides Minion but that's also cheating. His special was so much fun.
Outlaw in tm2 was my shit picking people up by just driving by was insane. Also spectra ghostly missile was no joke
I always cheesed Sweet tooth on TM4 by going on the big tent and unloading all dmg and then knock him off if he supered just pop shield to live then repeat till death then stock up on health and ammo if needed an repeat xD
3 proximity mines in the teleport orb and he dies in one hit
The diesel truck from black was awesome
good list surprised axel in tm2 didnt make the cut
Thumper +Ice +Boost ram kept me undefeated in my local scene
What they were thinking with the ram damage of Juggernut was that he's The Unstoppable Juggernut!
God this game was so sick as a kid, I was really a black guy in a pink low rider w a flame thrower fighting for my life in some jig saw like demented tournament. I always felt bad killing axle tho
The funny part is that the only twisted metal i ever played was TM4 but i knew already that sweet tooth was number one lmao
Thumper from TM2 has insane damage, if you freeze an opponent and use your special on them, it's over.
I like the coloration you gave to each name
TM2!!! If I catch you with the freeze... have 2 specials... my name is Thumper... you're dead.
I love that all the minions are number 2.
Concistently he was the best character in the franchise, even in his weakest version. But not even his 5 versions combined are so broken as TM4's Sweet Tooth (the definition of broken).
AFAIK, in TM:SB, you can hit someone with Darkside's special multiple times by stopping and ramming them agajn. No need to do a u-turn.
If there is any franchise that needs a huge comeback, this is it
Omg the blimp level i used the insta kill pit against the boss of that level with the cop car i would shock him until he fell down the hole😅
Always glad to see my boy Shadow
I always like the pizza delivery car that shoots the disc 😂😂😂
Pizza boy my beloved!
Darkside in Twisted Metal Black was on a whole other level! If she was an opponent Dollface always pissed me off but if i was playing as her then it was game on 😆
Could you rank every car from worst to best please
But not many people actually knew or played TM1 on PC.
just making sure Club Kid made the list.... his special saved TM3 for me...
@@FKNAftermath he was trash against the bosses though
Roadkill from TM Black should have made the list. God his special was infuriating.
Is there already a video on the top 10 broken AI characters to play against?
Minion to me is the exception to the rule as to boss characters being worse as playable. Minion is just as beast playable
12:14 which character is Onion? XD
@@SeanOZone minion ;)
I was so sad when I found out that the new twisted metal was a tv show rather than a video game...
@@someguy1ification I get it, but the show is pretty awesome
I try to play as characters that aren't too broken... unless I want to crush everything in my path. Also, shoutout to that Tier 1 Member with that insanely long username.
Great video thumbs up 👍
This is my fav series on my fav genre. rip vehicular combat...
God I miss Twisted Metal so much and I havent enjoyed it since TMB forever ago. Thanks for the vid though love going down memory lane
When it comes to the best character of head-on its dark tooth obviously.
I'd change a couple things on my own list, but overall a pretty good list
I probably wouldn't have Thumper in my top 10, he's really good but I put him behind Axel and Shadow, Axel is overpowered for pretty similar reasons as TM1 Warthog, and Shadow regenerates his special incredibly fast (also the extra damage on inclines for Shadow/remote bombs I believe also applies to anyone who is airborne so sometimes if you knock someone into the air with one you can shoot another if you're close enough for big damage) wheras Thumper regens a little slower and has a hard time getting all that damage without freezing the enemy first
Darkside is really good in 2012, at least top 3, but I feel Shadow is the best in the game, and the stats on the select screen REALLY downplay him for some reason.
