Another great video. I wish you and Tom would do a short intro to the decks you are playing before the games. Nothing too long, just a notion of what your stregtgy going into game 1 is, what cards you think matter, and what you are watching out for. It would help add to the narrative element of the videos and be welcoming to those who aren't familiar with every deck in every format. Congrats on 10k subs!
Thanks. I used to do that but i ve been told my cardmarket guys that it s important to start the video with gameplay. If you check my other channel: AndreaMengucci, you can find all the modern content and explanation
I’m really enjoying these videos with a lot of good content and the thing to let you know what the players have in hand, thanks for the opportunity to watch this😊
Interesting interaction that i believe came up in the first game. When your zoo opponent isnt fetching with their leyline out and has a kavu, if you remove the leyline their kavu will die because they have no basic land types. Friendly remind to zoo that you should always fetch at least one land.
@@thenumberpie314depends, if they tap out then they cannot save their kavu as they are unable to fetch. Always good to have a land type in play or have a fetch up
These videos are fantastic! I follow you a quite some time with your online magic and in the past I enjoyed the coverage for standard pro tour when you played. And i am really happy to see you make now a paper magic channel because I as well find it much better and more beautiful to look to in comparison to mtg online. And I must say these videos are very good and that much work do you stuff in that are respectable. Greetings from Germany
I would like to voice from the other side of a certain request. I really like that you just go into the gameplay. I really enjoy trying to figure out what the strategy is while people are playing. I always skip deck techs people do them. I'm down for watching them after the video is over though.
with the prevalence of pick your poison and the quick clock zoo can push for, I would always sideboard out Urza's saga in this matchup from your friendly neighborhood titan player
I don't know if it would be optimal with Mengu's known info but he could have used otawara on the treassure and go to second main to play the one ring to play around stubborn denial at 29:00
I'm really loving the quality of these videos! Paper card gameplay is incomparable to digital. The only way to watch IMO. Discovered you from Cardmarket MTG when you were on the pauper video playing rakdos affinity against mono green tron. I've been a huge fan ever since! Keep it up and looking forward to more!
Hello, cool video, quick feedback (kind of feature request really) I've noticed in this video and in others too as well that Tom (and sometimes Mengu) have decision branches in which I think you make some mistakes (which is fine) but I think if you both had a quick convo about it together you would have found an answer immediately (and we all here will learn something useful, it's a workshop after all heh) For instance, 3d game - Mengu: Saga and Amulet - Tom: fetch and "pick you poison" amulet I think clear mistake since Tom has a second pick you poison, he should poison Saga (Mengu has no lands anymore and as a result it stops him from ramping and saving Saga with bounce lands on his second turn), and then after Mengu has no lands second turn will be very safe for Tom and then second pick you poison on amulet So, my feedback is maybe review your games afterward and talk about mistakes that you think you made. This is how we will learn from them. Anyway, thanks for the content
Paper magic is so much better imo.. Thinking bout foiling out my domain zoo.. Might sell my non foil zoo and my foiled burn deck to do it... Anyways great video nice games.
I love your paper veedeos ! As a new player I often struggle with sideboarding and mulligan, I think it would be the best if you explained why you do / don't keep your starting hand but I guess it's difficult to do without giving too much info to the opponent
I've been playing titan for a while and you played great. There is a zoo player at my lgs and I always win the 1st game and then loose 2nd and 3rd matchup is pretty rough post sideboard and zoo is one of the decks that keeps amulet titan in check with ur murktide and especially pick your poison is very great for these decks
In the first game at 9:50 it really hurts Tommy that he doesn't discard/draw I think? Forgot? By the way audio has really improved, good quality editing as well :)
@@MengusWorkshop I found out recently i got scammed with my ragavans and 2 murktides, they were fake, this video cheered me up, thanks for always making us smile mengu
Watching paper magic is just more fun than online.
agreed. its not even close.
I would say: arena > paper > mtgo
@@deaexmachina6534 and you would be wrong

Thanks good point !
But you can fetch in response to the Otawara, no?

That's a good point but it doesn't work with Boseiju though !
Ten years after its unban and Wild Nacatl is finally tier 1 again (my favorite card of all time!)! Another great Veedeo!
This channel is great, its brings the thing missing from your main channel. Interaction between both players, I couldnt stop laughing at the jengatha.
GIGANTA
The first turn of the game being in the first 30 seconds of the video before sneaking in the sponsor before turn 2, was absolute GENIUS
🧠
This has Cardmarket levels of editing. Great Vid Mengu. Subscribeeeed
I loved the Zoo Deck. It seems to have so many ways to put pressure on the opponent.
Keep the videos coming, great work.
Awesome to see paper magic and the production is great. Thanks Mengu and Tommy :)

These videos are amazing. From the edits to how clear everyone is. Really appreciate this channel. !
Thanks for putting in the extra time to make this type of content ! I wish I had friends like yours !
Love seeing the fair creature deck beating up the combo deck

I like hearing mengu’s stories about his cards
Love the energy from the both of you - a very fun video!
love the video! good to see some combo on the channel, especially with how relevant combo is in the format!
Love getting to see you play paper magic Mengu!
❤❤❤

Cool video with a relevant matchup. The interface for lifepoints and cards in hand is great.
Thank you 😀

Hello, cool video, quick feedback (kind of feature request really)
I've noticed in this video and in others too as well that Tom (and sometimes Mengu) have decision branches in which I think you make some mistakes (which is fine) but I think if you both had a quick convo about it together you would have found an answer immediately (and we all here will learn something useful, it's a workshop after all heh)
For instance, 3d game
- Mengu: Saga and Amulet
- Tom: fetch and "pick you poison" amulet
I think clear mistake since Tom has a second pick you poison, he should poison Saga (Mengu has no lands anymore and as a result it stops him from ramping and saving Saga with bounce lands on his second turn), and then after Mengu has no lands second turn will be very safe for Tom and then second pick you poison on amulet
So, my feedback is maybe review your games afterward and talk about mistakes that you think you made. This is how we will learn from them.
Anyway, thanks for the content
Love when you talk about memories of cards you play with.
Plz play a Jund saga build of your choice next!!!
love the paper magic modern games, hopefully more planned soon.
Let's go! always love to see new videos!
So fun! Can we have pio with Yellowhat's pro tour deck please?

interested!
I LOVE paper gameplay. Thanks a lot
I love to see primetime gameplay, probably my favorite card in magic.
Fun video!
17:23 no Mengu, I was already subscribed so I was not able to subscribe again. So only 3 matches VEEDEO for me :(
YESS ANOTHER MENGU MODERN VEEDEO
Hey Mengu! Love your veedeos! What's that little pad you're using to track life? I'd love to grab myself one of those
You can find them on Ultimate Guard site! They'll get a restock soon! rast.ultimateguard.com/tc.php?t=153512C2277143914T

I love Mr. Mengu!!🎉
super fun matches. love the modern videos.
My experience from the Amulet side of the matchup is: opponent pressures me for 2-3 turns and then I murder them :3

Keep them coming
Video stupendo, si vede il grande lavoro che c'è dietro. Dove posso trovare invece quei dadi che usate?
Bella domanda, visto che non si trovavano in italia li ho presi su amazon quando son ststo a chicago il mese scorso

I did, but i drew another Windswept Heath 🥲
I love this channel and the display
Big boys 🎉 Titan is a great card
Broo i praise so much for mengu this game, i love amulet titan
Cool content, not enough 1v1 mtg content out there imho. :)ty
I thought the One Ring gave protection on cast?
Yes it does
Whats the benefit of playing surveil land over scry land if there's no fetches?
I'd think Amulet prefers to have its lands in the deck
It s a forest for boseiju
@MengusWorkshop that's why you're the pro player and I'm the viewer. That makes sense. Thanks! ♡
Do you have a sideboard guide for domain zoo?
Yes on channelfireball
Awesome video
As soon as Mengu said you need to subscribe to watch all 5 matches I did it 😂
I don't like domain and I hate prime time, but I like Mengu (and Tommy, he seem like a cool guy), so here I am
Zoo + Tommi is pure love ❤❤❤
Alfredoneeee
Wait, how Jegantha companion when Leyline of the Guildpact? That has 4 green pips?
It s split
Where can I find those big dices?
I bought them on amazon when i was in usa
Can jegantha be a companion with leyline of the guild pact in the deck?
Yes
Is there something better of paper Amulet? 🐸
"sponsor of the stream" Mengu still getting used to veedeo
Oooops

Mengu. if you feel awkward saying good luck then go with "Play well have fun" instead of GLHF.
I like that!
