Check to see if there is pauper events near you bro, its honestly such a great community and a great format to play. i started playing pauper 3 months ago at the LGS where i live in brazil (i was inspired by the pauper veedeos) and i found a format of magic that is actually growing (besides commander), is healthy and fun to play. I say go for it

Jeskai ephemerate Is the deck I've been playing since I started to play pauper again this year (I used to play UR Peregrine Drake when it was legal). I love that deck and it's really cool to see this matchup. Jeskai ephemerate vs UB fairies is one of my favorites matchups in this format, a lot of counter wars and pressure on the board
Love the paper (and pauper) content! Especially since cardmarket seems to have slowed down their output of feature match content (maybe that's just me running out of videos to binge). I can't imagine how hard this stuff is to edit tho

Attualmente so che stai giocando con il deck Izzet Terror, che è uno dei miei preferiti, ma mi piacerebbe modificarlo verso una lista Jeskai. Con tutte le nuove carte che sono uscite, soprattutto con Modern Horizons, sarei curioso di sapere quale lista utilizzeresti ora e che modifiche apporteresti rispetto a quella precedente. Mi piacerebbe molto avere il tuo parere!

Love the content as always! Would you be able to explain the interaction @8:00? Wouldn't the [[Spellstutter Sprite]] have to resolve onto the battlefield before being able to target it with the [[Cast Into the Fire]]?
Edit** Fixed the timestamp
Spellstutter resolves, ETB trigger goes on the stack and Mengu responds with Cast.
Stutter checks on resultion so if there s no faeries in play it doesnt counter

I know it’s Jeskai but um I have the same build but I splashed in one Rimewood falls & a snow forest for the extra yargle explore for more draw & ramp not that it needs it but I thought it be cool for extra deck tech plus the flavour text.
Have you thought about Return Triumphant to replace Late for dinner? I figure it would be a good value target for Kenku or another smaller creature like Dawnbringer.
I put a single life goes on in as well. Playtesting this week.

I have just recently started seeing your channel and I love a lot of the content. I was curious do you play many games and select the good ones? After the five or so videos I watched its starting to feel scripted which I really hope I am wrong. I have no problem with you being the winner etc. it seemed like game two here you intentionally did not play optimally. I am not a PTQ winner so I might be wrong. This is not a slight just a question with transparency. Aside from the Card Market crew there is so much bs.
No we don’t script anything. Why would you say I didn’t play well game2?
@@MengusWorkshop You certainly did not - I allowed my emotions of past "top mtg play (scripted)" cloud my judgment and did not understand the match. You played very well, I was a JSS top player 20 years ago lol =(. I have recently wanted to get back into MTG the past few years and I do play arena for the itch. I was selfishly trying to simply weed out made up content (I do not think that is in your characters bio) I have just seen initially a lot of that. Seeing the flashbacks of cards that tug heartstrings is great (you know selling an unlimited mox for 200 dollars) I was just curious and I am slowly getting back into paper Magic.

Jeskai ephemerate is such a sweet deck but to pilot it well is tough, I do love cleansing wildfire's interaction with the bridges so you have land hate that's also just pretty good with nothing to destroy on their side

Jeskai card advantage is pure insanity. Fae can't follow. Also Kenku is way too broken against fae. Easy win most of the times.

Be careful when using a piece of games beyond one as the intro as now it's spoiled that Mengu takes game one.

We get mixed feelings on that, now we re trying go get straight into the game. The decklist is on description
@@MengusWorkshop that’s understandable. I could see people that know the deck already being annoyed by it and just skipping. The way you talk through what you’re doing on the more obscure plays helps a lot in figuring out the game plan

i have a personal pet spin on faeries where i go moon circuit over ninja of the deep - 2 toughness is rarely different than one and most of the time people will never let it in twice
the only reason i see deep hour being better is to provide an immediate threat that must be removed. but looting is powerful too
