    Kid runs a tight operation. I will say, if you’re another 21 year old kid seeing this and you’re NOT doing 5 million dollars in revenue, that’s completely fine. This kid had a great opportunity with his dad and growing up wealthy, which is a lot of the reason he’s able to do this. He’s still a beast of an operator, but don’t let comparison steal your pride in your own business.

    Fun fact, his dad is Tom Roth, who is heavily invested in "Affluent funding inc" he is also coincidentally involved with "Andrea Roth Real Estate Team" they manage Waterfront Properties & Club Communities. Hence why his son has the opportunity to take care of those large properties. Nevertheless he seems to know how to run a business.

    No one should worry about s corps or llc until your buisness turns profit or you need a legal entity for payment processor it's just a way of lowering personal liability and you can file the paperwork at through your state and state website save money.

    • @TianaManeO
      @TianaManeO Місяць тому

      Starting an LLC or S Corp after reaching profitability or needing liability protection is sensible, but early formation has benefits too. An LLC offers liability coverage and simpler management, while an S Corp can lower self-employment taxes for higher income. Consulting a professional ensures you choose the best fit as your business grows.

      Using pre-tax contributions in an LLC or S Corp can reduce taxable income during high-earning years, while post-tax contributions like Roth options can ease taxes in retirement, creating a balanced tax strategy.

I keep it simple grass cutting, mulch, trim shrubs fertalizations, clean ups, spray weeds, etc. I would consider it more of a lawn service with landscape maintainence. Maybe next year expand a little more but for now everything is good.

      Where I grew up in Long Island NY I started a lawn buisness after High School. I purchased basic equipment to get started along with a truck. It made money but didn't go too far. Especially in winters. It was tough. My friend the same age started his lawn buisness the same time. He got fully outfitted with new trucks, enclosed trailers and equipment from his parents funding. Then he got accounts from their politician friends and family connections in the community. His parents purchased companies going out of buisness to obtain their accounts. He became a millionaire while I sold my buisness in frustration. It's not what you know, it's who you know that can get you to success plus being born into money helps. So at age 21 and having those connections is how he got successful like my friend did. You can bearly get a credit card at 21 for $1000 never mind those fleet of trucks, equipment and a 5 acre nursery.

      I’ve worked for all the big companies here in central Florida . I used to work for one won’t mention name, but short story so I won’t bore you guys is they would give you certain time at each property per day literally. If you had equipment go down employee slacking you still had to finish it at that time or face being fired. They also would not allow stops at any store for nothing. They wanted to squeeze every once of strength out of your body before you went home. Lasted four months and left I just can’t work under conditions that are setup for you to fail everyday you go to work. Employees turnover was high do to many rules. You will be in business, but once you hit the top that’s it only way to go is down seen many companies cap out, and closed down shops to downsize. Another big point they contracted people from Mexico or else they wouldn’t have enough workers to do any job right. Peace out keep grinding.

They get gas and just happen to use a gas can to fill their tank and so forth. It’s hard to keep up with without a system. Also..cameras in the truck help him and possibly help the employee. Honestly unless you own a business you dont understand the struggle. The second you let things slide next thing you know they are spending 2-3 hours stopping at gas stations. tracking fuel is a must. not only for bottom line for tax reasons too. Now i would not tell employees if they forgot their lunch to starve. but if it turned into a daily thing then you need to address it.

    This is an amazing story & he's doing many things right. I'm very impressed with him at his age. I use to teach Intro to Business in high school & always encouraged entrepreneurship above all. Having a story like this would have been great but he would have still been in grade school at that time. lol
    I did see a couple things I'd like to highly suggest to look into & hope you will pass the suggestions/concerns along. #1 would be "Safety First." He mentioned in the beginning... "Round up," which greatly concerns me since it's so toxic to the environment & cancerous to humans & pets. I would hope he'd find a good alternative, preferably a natural product (vinegar, dawn soap, water, salt, etc.). Also #2 when you got to the high pitch ringing segment I didn't notice hearing protection on the young man. He may have had some under the wrap, but if not, that should be a must. Both of those alone could cost him greatly years later if these guys try to sue him for hearing loss or medical issues due to the chemicals & THAT could cost him everything he worked so hard to build up. Plus the cost to his workers as well. Other than that, this young man is on the right path to great long term success.

    That’s a WHOLE lot of privilege, that much is undeniable. He most certainly wouldn’t be where he’s at if it wasn’t for his source of upfront funding and contracts. It’s the way he uses this privilege that makes him very respectable. I grew up in a wealthy area and I know tons of people my age/young adults that just sit around living off their trust funds. None of that here. This guy saw an opportunity and took it. He gets out and puts in the work, and imo he is deserving of the success. So while he has had a ton of privilege here, this dude is very respectable. It’s a little wack he doesn’t let his people stop for food though. If you want good employees that stay around for a long time you do need to treat them well, while balancing COGS of course. That’s a fine line to walk and it’s constantly moving.

      Most countries with public health benefits usually get poor service and have long wait times and/or denial of specific services. In the US, I think our health care is a multi level criminal organisation. That sometimes brings a miracle.
