The first one is one hell of an experience! Definitely worth buying! The story is great, voice actors are good, gameplay is solid and it's gorgeous! 10 out of 10 for me

I don’t HAVE to buy this, considering it doesn’t even follow up on Jin Sakai’s story. How will he deal with the shogun and Mongols wanting him dead? Will he find a balance between maintaining honor and fighting the war that needs to be fought? Guess we will never know. I’ll stick to playing the original.
But its more to this than just its a chick helming the game. Its who she is. No game footage and no major plots revealed, but the well is already poisoned. Seeds of doubt grow deep roots. Just a the knowledge of her character puts a black-eye in a game that's not even out yet.

Jin was not done at all but then agian I didnt play the expansion but from what was at the end of the 1st game you had two endings one where you kill your uncle or not both would lead to havinf you marked by main land Japan as a wanted and dishonoarable samurai and we should ahve seen more of this story and even had a romance with Yuna gaining bloom and they could have a child and have that child be in the 3rd part. TBH, I prefer games that allow you to create your own character, that pretty much covers everyone. Setting it in stone to be male or female already sets the tone that some will feel excluded. That said, I've played numerous games that were female protagonists from Tomb Raider to Perfect Dark to name a few. I've even chosen a female character in a game that allows for custom creation or two choices like Mass Effect. My point is if you truly want to be inclusive them you'd allow for character customization to allow the player to choose who they want to play as rather than the default.
The fact that the protagonist is a woman isn't a problem, it's the writing. Personally I'm excited and a huge fan of the first game, but will be waiting for gameplay trailer and Gameranx before you buy to be certain

You get far more invested in games than movies helps a bit. Alot more time and slow build usually helps that connection form more naturally

Great i wasnt planning on it... guarentee it will be a 💩 story with upgraded mechanics so theyll try to pass it off as good.
