I hope Dot Matrix for fonts/text/menu isn't totally removed. It makes NOTHING's UI stand out, rather than looking like any other brands' menu interface. At least make it selectable if after updating to OS3.0 , but users prefer the old Dot Matrix font can change it back like under Display > Fonts > Dot Matrix.

Earhooks are great! Majority of IEMs use it for a good reason, and TWS get to balance the battery weight better, while not straining your ear canal with all the weight, especially ear (open), which doesn't even touch it. If you have stigma around hearing aids, then I'm sorry for you. Treat your hearing well, so that it can last as long as possible naturally, and treat people who lost some ability to hear with dignity.
I might be completely misremembering this but I think I heard on the *Inside the Ecosystem* podcast that Nothing was created by some previously OnePlus employees. That would explain their similar values.

I love 99% of the changes in NOS 3. But The dot matrix font ~must~ stay. As you've mentioned, it's such an iconic staple of the Nothing brand, it simply has to stay. The Serif is a huge departure, and not the kind of design that made me buy into your brand :(
Its hideous and hinders readability big time. Serif + Inter look sooo much nicer. The Serif font has been a part of their design identity since the very beginning.

I acually prefer the design of the NOS 2.6, hope we get the option to keep it. The dot font is what gives the OS character, I wish there was an option to make more UI elements use it. Other than that I can't wait for NOS 3.0.
An issue many of us might dislike is with the lock screen, you can double tap to turn the screen on to check the time of lock screen notifications, but can't double tap to turn it OFF. NOTHING!! please fix this!

With loud sounds the diaphragm is pushed out further and KMS must inevitably stiffen to keep the diaphragm from leaving the "speaker". When it stiffens this causes distortion. The BL(x) curve is the magnetism between the coil and magnet. As the coil moves in and out, it moves away from the magnet and so the magnetism changes, this also causes distortion. While the KMS curve has to have limits so the speaker doesn't destroy itself, you can design the magnet so that the magnetism increases at the same time as the KMS stiffens, so the distortions cancel out at normal listening levels. This is a forgiving interpretation of what he might have meant by "matching the KMS curve and the BL curve". The other interpretation is that the KMS curve and BL curve are matched in that they both start to degrade at about the same point, which would just be good practice in speaker design, so neither KMS or BL are a bottleneck for performance until design limits are actually reached. This is still good design, as typical designs will use a cheap magnet or suspension design that is already degrading at normal listening levels. Keep in mind the magnet is extremely tiny and tailoring the BL curve involves machining features on the poles of the magnet that might not even be visible to the naked eye. Just got mine, have to say: I really love the audio and bass! That it doesn't have ANC is not a dealbreaker for me personally (I always turn ANC off with my Galaxy Buds Live). Well done Nothing!
I find myself using transparency mode a lot more than active noise cancelling when using earbuds. Earbuds designed around being open is exactly what I need! although that case looks ginormous.

It's been 2 years I'm with Nothing Phone 1. This is the best experience ever. Before this I used Xiaomi devices (Mi 3, Mi 9 SE, Poco F3) now Nothing Phone 1. Tbh, Why i chose Nothing devices because of their Design and Software design. It's so different and unique. Now i just bought Nothing Ear (A) it was so good.. again i bought mainly because of the design, software and cheapest among their tws line up haha 😂

I love it. As someone who has an ear problem and does not want earbuds that actually go all the way inside, this is amazing. Headphones was a no go as well because it gets sweaty after a while so this is really something.
I just use a auto brightness tile in my nothing phone 1, i installed a app from Play store - Just search auto brightness!! [You get a tile in quick settings - just like a normal tile]
this is great for people (including myself) with ear issues. up until now ive been forced to use the samsung buds live as theyre the only buds out there that just sit there instead of going deep into your ear canal like regular buds. big ups nothing!

I hope they add some features or at least update the apps with regards to the glyph. As here in the Philippines, we can't maximize the glyph as the apps like Grab, Foodpanda, and others are not available in the glyph.
I understand that, but they can't do anything about that, those companies, (my sinta is pinay) have to also co-operate with the Nothing Team to allow it, like how Zomato in India did, Uber too.
I need 2 more things. 1st- It would be great if I could select whether the lock screen widgets should appear on the Always On Display or not. And 2nd- There needs to be some transparency in the UI. They've done it to reduce leakage(hopefully there is an option to turn it off if you want more Battery Life)

These remind me of the Samsung Galaxy Live (Dubbed the "Bean") earbuds. They fit over the ear, but the speakers sat over the canal. I still have them and love that I could hear well, while also still being able to hear around me. Already pre-ordered these bad boys!

I hope they add some features or at least update the apps with regards to the glyph. As here in the Philippines, we can't maximize the glyph as the apps like Grab, Foodpanda, and others are not available in the glyph.
I understand that, but they can't do anything about that, those companies, (my sinta is pinay) have to also co-operate with the Nothing Team to allow it, like how Zomato in India did, Uber too.
Super impressed by all the tech developments, especially the dual speaker system and the custom diaphragm.
I got my hands on the phone 2a.. its such a beautiful device.. the Nothing OS UX was sooo smoooth
ear(open) look great but I wonder how comfortable they are for people wearing glasses?
I need 2 more things. 1st- It would be great if I could select whether the lock screen widgets should appear on the Always On Display or not. And 2nd- There needs to be some transparency in the UI. (Like in iPhone and Redmi phones, the background of the control panel and other things is blurry transparent)

Nothing is really something !!!..... Nothing OS 3.0 is going to be absolutely great.....I have always wanted a feature like the "countdown widget". Every new launch of nothing product really excites me!!

1:34 EXACTLY! I was waiting for someone to realise that the way Noise cancelling works, you can LITERALLY use it to create 'silence' zones and silence machines that radiate out 'silence' waves. They've done it to reduce leakage(hopefully there is an option to turn it off if you want more Battery Life)

I'm so happy i got a nothing phone. They really listen to the community.
These remind me of the Samsung Galaxy Live (Dubbed the "Bean") earbuds. They fit over the ear, but the speakers sat over the canal. I still have them and love that I could hear well, while also still being able to hear around me.
Already pre-ordered these bad boys!
