    When I was growing up sometimes money was very tight for my family. My Mom would use eggs to wash my hair and rinse it with the apple cider vinegar. I always had clean and shiny hair. Watching this brought back those memories for me!

      aren't eggs more expensive than shampoo would be?

      Bree Kawaii I guess it really depends on what kind of shampoo you buy but where I go to the store one bottle of shampoo is about 10-20 dollars, also most shampoos have ingredients that will hurt your hair over time so I usually look for ones without sulfates, silicons, and parabens for the best results. Those tend to be more expensive though. Feel free to let me know what kind of shampoo you buy if you think it’s really good and reasonably priced, I’m always looking for better brands🙂

      wow "poverty" is so relative. There are people out there that would kill to have those eggs as food but in America, people cannot buy shampoo so they use eggs. Very interesting.

    just letting you guys know that coconut oil doesn't work on all hair types sometimes it can make your hair worse so make sure to search your hair type up before using it

      Amanda Wright I cant find my hair type, all I know is I’m doing something wrong because it’s poofy, frizzy, and heavy😂😖

      @@lindsayersek7048 Maybe try to google information about ''hairy porosity'' which can be very helpful to know and you could check out the curly girl method, a lot of people have very frizzy poofy hair and after a good hair routine realize it's because they had wavy hair :) Either way the hair porosity can help a lot!

      kurochi chan thank you! I’m so grateful someone offered me advice, I’ve been looking everywhere.

      @@lindsayersek7048 Ofcourse, I hope it can help! It took me long to figure out aswell but knowing I had low porosity hair helped me a lot, as it explained why heavy oils like coconut oil and olive oil were never great for my hair :) I would recommend the video on youtube by "Manes by Mell" aboit hair porosity, as she is a hair dresser who knows the more correct way of identifying it! And if you think you might have wavy hair I'd recommend checking out the Curly Girl reddit, but I personally don't follow the exact rules and it still helped my hair a lot. All I changed was to a CG approved shampoo (silicone free and harsh sulfates free) and conditioner, Manes by Mells has a lot of information about these things aswell :D For example the CG method recommends doing a co-wash now and then which is similar to washing with a conditioner, but my hair is low porosity and can't handle too much oil, and I also have scalp eczema so I just use a CG shampoo and conditioner and never co-wash, so if you want to try it out don't stress about following every step!
      You could also try to figure out of your hair needs Protein or Moisture, as too little of either can cause breakage, but that's pretty hard to figure out so I think hair porosity would be a good start! Hope you can find what works

    I just tried this mask. My hair has felt very brassy and heavy lately. I left it on for 20 minutes then rinsed as much as I could with warm water. When I went to use my shampoo it actually foamed up. I feel like my hair has not foamed in awhile. It was like the shampoo was doing nothing. After conditioning my hair felt so soft, silky and light. I look forward to adding this dyi hair mask into my life more often!

    Hi. I have a lot of build up on hair and thought cutting could solve the problem but I was wrong.
    I remembered that stripping could also help so I watched a lot of these videos. What I would like to know is, 'how often should I use this on my hair?, ' will the out come depends on the hair type?', 'can I apply heat when I cover with plastic?'
    This is very helpful.

      Depends on the Porosity of your hair like if you said that your hair doesn’t like coconut oil then it’s likely to be a low porosity hair so you have to know what porosity your hair has to choose the best ingredients for it.

    • @desilu478
      @desilu478 3 роки тому

      the qualities of ACV are far superior and cannot be found in simple vinegar. the malic acid from apples helps to gently clarify your scalp without overdrying or stripping your hair. the best kind of ACV has the mother in it. it looks disgusting - has a white stringy floating thing in it but that's the best and purest kind. Bragg's sells it in most stores at a reasonable price.

      Jacquie M. Our hair has naturally an acidic pH. Many people damage their hair/skin by using water with a basic pH. There are things you can do about it but the easiest thing is to just rinse your hair with vinegar.
