    As a kid and a teen many, many years ago, (I'm 73 now 🙄), we didn't use or have ACV around the house but we always had distilled white vinegar. My mom had used it for years as her hair rinse, and since we were kinda on the poor side financially, I also used it a lot as my rinse. I always had good, healthy hair, and it just felt so clean and shiny. I now use the white for cleaning and the ACV in food and anything body related. I have been a bit negligent lately about using it as either a pre soak or a final rinse in my hair, but I need to get back to it because I love it. Thanks for this video and the reminder!❤

    I started using ACV and quit using commercial hair products because I am super sensitive.its been about 10 days and my hair LOVES the backing soda and water as my no-poo and then ACV with water as the conditioner every 2-3 days. It even helped with how dry my hair is so far and it's been amazing! I won't go back to shampoo and conditioner from the store. Switching to a more natural and organic lifestyle. What a great video!! The scalp and hair are very sensitive to changes in ph level. Normally on the acidic side, it can become too alkaline which causes the itchiness and dryness. Also yeast and bacterial infections can occur. Hard alkaline water and alkaline shampoos can be a problem along with a diet that is too alkaline. If a super health conscious person consumes an over abundance of fruit or vegetable juices, or too many vitamins or minerals it can aggravate an alkaline scalp. Everything we eat and drink has an effect on the ph of our bodies. I used to drink a ton of juice that I made in a juicer and that greatly dried out my scalp. Juices are alkalizing to the body. The apple cider vinegar rinse is a great way to balance the ph level and relieve symptoms

    If I can give a recommendation: Rinsing out the ACV partly defeats the purpose of the wash in the first place as water is usually between 6 - 8,5 (hard water) on the pH scale. Doing the ACV is supposed to bring down the pH value your hair was exposed to from shampoo and water. That‘s why I‘d recommend to not rinse out the ACV and also to dillute it further. 1:5 mixture means pH value of roughly 3.5, scalp pH value is somewhere between 4.5 to 5.5. Therefore 1:50 to 1:100 is more advisable as increasing the pH from 3 to 5 takes ten times more water than increasing pH from 3 to 4, it‘s exponential growth.

    I think over washing is the biggest reason for dandruff. I did that once and since then I’ve been dealing with redness.
    My quick tip is to use a thin oil,lightly dab it on the area to hide the flakes, helps a lot especially in the front of the head, around the hairline for a quick social interaction of like 2-4 hours..

    • @VictoriaTraducciones
      @VictoriaTraducciones 8 місяців тому +1

      Actually no, there's no such thing as over washing when you have dandruff, unless you're washing your hair 7 times a day or something crazy like that, the fungus that causes dandruff feeds on the oils on your scalps, by spacing out your wash days you're just helping keeping the fungus wel fed, not to mention too much sebum causes severe hair loss, itchiness and redness in of it self, we souldn't be afraid to wash our hair, that's not what causes the problem, what messes with our sclap is not washing your hair frequently when you have an oily sclap or if you were sweating all day, like seriously just wash your scalp, not using a water filter, like she said tab water causes all sort of skin problems, not just dandruff, using shampoos that are not right for your scalp type, showering with hot water, touching your hair constantly with your dirty hands, etc, you uust need to find the products and the routine that works for your scalp, just don't be afraid to wash it

    DO THIS WITH CAUTION. I have very hard well water, and am always looking for something to get the hard water minerals out of my hair. My hair is fine, and bleach highlighted. I put some apple cider vinegar in a large bottle, added water…about 1/4 vinegar, 3/4 water. I did not rinse afterwards. The vinegar totally fried my hair, especially where it was highlighted. So bad that my hair just broke off, and there was no fixing it, had to cut it all off. Vinegar is an acid. If you are going to use it, don’t leave it on too long. Rinse well and definitely do not blow dry afterwards.

    Saw a video that says use 7oz water to 1oz part vinegar for a pH of 3, which can safely be used every few months or 8oz water to 1tsp vinegar (a pH of 4) for regular use. Using a strong mixture often can wear away at your scalp's acid mantle over time.

      @@michaelbeardemphl792 I haven’t wanted to risk it. Honestly, I think the hair thinning is due to not getting enough calories from losing weight along with the toxic shampoo etc. I recently had surgery for a wound and couldn’t shower for a week, and noticed my skin and hair were both the smoothest they’ve ever been. I think it’s bad to constantly get your hair wet. I’m now only washing my hair once a week, and I’ve seen huge improvements. I’ve also stopped sitting in aircon all day as it’ll dry your skin and hair out. I’m going to try eating maintenance calories for the next 3-4 months and see if my hair thickens out again. I also think micronutrients like Vitamin D3 (sunlight) and iodine play a huge role.

    I have COPD and some other medical problems and medication that I take on a daily basis somehow causes my scalp to be itchy dry it's even caused patches of skin near my scalp to be very dry... Apple cider vinegar does help but anyone out there who still bleaches and or dyes their hair should know do not stop using conditioner! Apple cider vinegar is good for your scalp not as much for the rest of your hair it can dry your hair out if used incorrectly if it irritates add more water... I find that this method is better than the t gel shampoo because it does dry out my hair really bad

      Hi I wanted to share what I've discovered after doing a lot of research. I found that using ACV after shampoo and conditioner (or replacing conditioner, based on your preference) works best. You have to make sure you really rinse out the ACV. Using ACV after shampoo and conditioner allows the ACV to restore and balance whatever was lost by the shampoo and it also retightens the hair shaft and cuticle. It's totally up to you. I'm sure I wasn't who you intended to answer, but I just had to share. I recently started using an ACV (my second rinse was about an hour ago) and I can see a major difference. My scalp feels so clean and my hair is stronger. I've been suffering from massive hair loss and shedding. The amount of hair loss has decreased dramatically! Wishing you the best on your hair journey!

    Margaret Matheny ... here is what I do ... I DON'T shampoo my hair. Ain't done that for per near 15 years .. my patterned bald spot is growing grass again! LOL! Yes ... spray your hair with the apple cider vinegar dilution. Work it into the hair for a few minutes. When you get into the shower, rinse your hair and body ... Next, I wash my privates, feet, pits with natural soap. I then rinse myself and hair a 2nd time. Then I lather up and shave ... then I rinse a final time. The Shampoos take away the natural oils etc. Water rinses out the dirt ... apple cider vinegar does the rest ... adjusts the pH and other wonderful things. So, DON'T use shampoos!
