@@petru4335 I agree. Jeff is an incredible player and almost a forgotten member of Megadeth in most peoples eyes. He was and still is a guitar teacher. Mustaine always picks the best players and Jeff was picked for that reason. I really respect Jeff and Chuck (drums) the the skills they bought to the album So Far So Good So What, their both very talented players.
ua-cam.com/video/mSDgA-IeLnM/v-deo.html Here's a video of kiko playing the drums on pegasus fantasy (Brazilian Portuguese version) with angra in a anime event.
... Thankfully there is a collab between Poland and Marty. Honestly they are both incredible and have made great things. Or ... Basically the 3. Seriously, the amount of talent that has been in Megadeth is incredible.
Marty Friedman is a virtuoso legend. Known for his epic solos so adored and loved around the world. 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶 Making one of the most legendary albums in thrash metal history
Marty Friedman is a great fusion player. Very beautiful combination of Indian, Chinese, Tibetan and Hungarian styles Kiko himself is a great fusion player
I remember when I met you in Caracas in 2006 in Hotel Gran Melia , i started to talk you in English and you say: No!, En Español” Nunca olvidaré ese maravilloso momento!
That makes complete sense. I find Eric Johnson easier to play than SRV, though EJs work is more complex from a melody and soloist point of view. I struggle with SRV style blues, the rhythm is tough to get down. I sound sloppy trying to play boogie woogie type rhythm guitar. My personal phrasing is very similar to EJs.
A curiosity ... Conquer or Die: it was a gift from you to Megadeth, or a gift from Megadeth to you? I mean, did you came to Mustaine with the idea of the song, or was he who came to you and ask "make a great song on your debut album"? Thanks and congrats!
He adressed it somewhere already. Mustaine heard Kiko playing classical guitar, liked it and said 'write some kickass solo song with classical guitars and shit'. And there it is.
I really appreciate you. In so many ways. You are very in-depth in your knowledge, and the professionalism , your various languages and methods of communication blows me away. And you can utilize modern technology to reach so many parts of the world. God bless you, sir!
I bet you are so excited to play live again. What makes you most excited or most nervous about getting on the road? See you in Arkansas for meet greet.
Al Di Meola was quite an astonishing discover for me, at least when I was quite interested in working hard on my alt pick style, having that harshness of my guitar hero, Alex Skolnick.
Spanish and portugese are very similar as well as Italian. All Latin based. I bet Finish is really hard sir. Great channel, and great answers my friend. Take care and hope you and yours are well
@@notsure1135 If you listen to the Rust in Peace demos with Chris, you can tell that Marty got a little bit of inspiration to create his solos, using the same scales and stuff like that, but in his style.
I love all of Megadeth's guitarists but I gotta say, Dave Mustaine's and Chris Poland's leads were really eerie sounding. Something about the modes they played in and their stylings would send chills up my spine. 🤘🏻
I Recommend That You Listen to his Album Return To Metalopolis, and Of Course listen to his songs where he plays his solos in Killing, Peace Sells And The System Has Failed, and you might also be interested in his solos in the Rust In Peace Demos.
As a fanboy from way back, I'll never understand why that solo is so important to us. Other than it's the perfect accemt to an already well constructed piece of music. For some it's the reason they know the name Marty Friedman.

I would jump on Dystopia. 3 solos on that track. Each one is quite complex but nothing to outlandish. I think if you've got souls down. Dystopia should be a good exercise for you.
You should look into some of Malaysian traditional music as well.. you can look up the style of Joget or Zapin.. they're basically traditional dance music. so it'll be fun if you want to diversify your already vast musical palette. :P
Everyone agrees that Marty Friedman and Dave Mustaine were the best duo that had to tackle the hugely successful and popular Metallica at that time (huge success with the "Black album") Making one of the most legendary albums in the history of metal. Their musical genius is showcased in that album.
Acione as legendas em Português! : )
Andriy vasylenko no megadeth
You forgot Jeff Young ... He was the spirit of Megadeth, never forget that !
Faltan en español :(
You forgot to say "Valeu galera", in portuguese...
Obrigado pelas legendas em Português ,sou seu fã mas não manjo nada de Inglês :)
I think every Megadeth guitarists have their own style and that's what makes the band cool, the variety and technicality each guitarist had to offer.
I was about to say EXACTLY the same🤘
True.
IN FACT, I HAVE SEEN NOBODY PLAY IN MY DARKEST HOUR SOLO AS JEFF YOUNG!

Please do a comparison featuring Dave Murray or Adrian Smith?
Both are insane, some days I prefer one, some I prefer other
Poland has the most unique style of all the players in Megadeth…he sounds like Jan Hamer from Mahavisnu Orchestra.
Too jazzy and repetitive for Megadeth compared to Marty Friedman.
Yes!

Chris Poland by far. His sound is so unique and he is an amazing player. Plus a lot of the credit Marty gets was because of Poland
Why do you think that? Marty was there way longer.
