Far Beyond the Sun is the classic you feel like Mozart when you realize you're able to play it without embarrassing yourself Much respect for you Mr. Loureiro Greetings from Colombia
A great suggestion my son gave me to help stalled creativity......"dad, just sit down for 15 minutes and come up with one riff every day and record it. It may be nothing now, but you can scrap it, or build on it, but you'll always have a place to start." UT has worked for me. Good luck out there!
@@lecorsaire2283 I disagree. Romeo was into Uli Jon Roth, and other influences. So Romeo didn't really need Yngwie to become what he is today. Yngwie was not the only neo-classical shredder on the metal scene.
@@TheCyberMantis While UJR, Randy Rhoads and Richie Blackmore incorporated neoclassical elements, it was Yngwie who really created that explosive style with Rising Force and took lead guitar to the next level. Just as EVH led to everyone incorporating tapping, Yngwie led to everyone sweep picking arpeggios up and down the neck.
Malmsteen gets a lot of crap, and I can understand why. I myself feel sometimes like he exaggerates a bit, especially when he makes a long solo for a normal song and repeats the proggression while shreding over it. But a lot of times he does it really well. Far beyond the sun in my opinion is actually a decent piece and it doesn't bore me in anyway, even though it does have the point of showing his speed and skill, but as a guitarrist I can appreciate it, and the fact that it is actually a song with different parts and chord proggressions and changes of pace, really lets me appreciate it in every way. Also a lot of his regular songs, in the trilogy album for example, are just perfect, and he was in fact extremely influential to a lot of guitarrists in our style. Also, Kiko, your "I have to practice slowly" is just plain amusing. Hehe
The funny thing is that I'm learning far beyond the sun 🌞 and I have to say that it would not be possible without Guitar Hacks course. I have been practicing the way he teaches with a bit of personal modifications ( that I did with time ) for 2 years and half now.
Me gusta la sencillez que se expresa. No te dice que todo es magia y se echa flores te habla de tu a tu. Que siempre hay dificultades en todos los niveles. O estilos. Un gran guitarrista con una gran tecnica
the first time i got to know "Angra" when i bought a power metal compilation cassette and i found the song "carry on"..since then i became a fan of "Angra"..i tried hard for about a month to learn your guitar chords and solos on the song "carry on" it and maybe only able to play it about 50-60% because it's very difficult, the rest I improvise as much as I can. But the song "carry on" is very useful for me because it has led me to get the best guitarist title in several band competitions at that time..thank you Kiko, you are my hero
I love this episode Kiko😊I definitely agree!, that's also the song that I struggled to learn but I want to perfect it..."Far Beyond the Sun" by my ultimate shred idol, the one and only Legendary shred master Yngwie J Malmsteen.🤘 🎸...FBTS is a Must to learn song for every aspiring shredder. Simply epic!.. Not only it sounds good but it will force you to learn and apply all the techniques necessary in shredding: Alternate picking, legato, sweeping, economy picking, trills and phrasing. It's also a head turner when you play it in Guitar stores haha😂 And once you can play it, you can play rock and metal songs easily because it will enhance your techniques haha. Thanks again Kiko, you rock, more power on your Megadeth tour.👍
You are amazing Kiko,😊 I admire your guitar work both on your solo albums and Megadeth..👏, I actually agree with you, "Far Beyond the Sun" is one of the best and hardest shred pieces ever! It's been almost 4 decades since the legendary shred icon Yngwie Malmsteen played that piece and it still boggles the mind and fingers of the new generation of shredders. Most of them were inspired by Malmsteens virtuoso work in Rising Force. I find Blackstar and Little Savage also as difficult as this masterpiece.🎸
Awesome advice on burnout. One of my favorite times in my life was when I was working on music all day every day. Some of my best ideas came to me as the song repeated in my head while I was in the kitchen or going for a walk, and I'd rush back to the studio and pick up a guitar or bass to incorporate the new idea.
I totally agree kiko. People that disagree are probably people that have never tried to play it right through perfectly. And the fact that there are incredibly few guitarists that can and that have successfully recorded a decent version is testament to its difficulty level.
Next Q&A: Do you think you are still improving your playing, or you are just maintaining your skills? Based on the fact you skills are amazing already :) Do you think you are a better guitarist than let's say 15 years ago?
From what i see ( and hear ) Kiko's style revolves around alternate picking. It's pretty interesting because in this video Yngwie is mentioned and his style revolves more around sweeping arpeggios. Anyway great video from Kiko, a great musician and very good composer.
Kiko, thank you for all the videos you post on tour with Magadeath, that was fun videos to watch and to know the real life of your musician. I know you are amazing guitar with your different back ground. Be safe and stay healthy my friend. Have an awesome day.

very much agreed, Yngwie just stole the show in that G3 live in Denver, that man is really a guitar God.🔥 also watched Generation axe and he again dominated the other 4 guitarist (Vai, Nuno, Zakk Wylde) including the up and coming shred talent Tosin Abasi. Whenever Yng plays his stage presence, charisma, talent and guitar chops clearly stand out over the other axe slingers. What a shred legend he is.🤘

Just found you. Very nice work. You have inspired me to play more.
Hi Kiko! I am almost can play Far Beyond the Sun... but no not even close to play Enfermo or Cutting Edge!!!
Yngwei is always mentioned by solo guitarists when it comes to their practice era.
It's easy to forget just how innovative & sick Malmsteen was back in the early 80s.There was no one like him. And, there was no internet / youtube to help you figure out how he was playing such crazy killer licks. The intro to 'Hot on Your Heels' was insane. Of course everyone wanted to play Yngwie \m/\m/
@@Guppusmaximus To this day, very few can match his raw speed, stamina, insane picking, Gilbert-like accuracy (believe it or not) and complete freaking control of that fretboard.
@@viktormedina4631 there's one guy that can match and surpass that, he is takayoshi ohmura
@@Cherrios1903 Thanks. I'll make sure to check it out. That's why I said "very few." Thanks again!
Maybe u guys should check this one. Just search Kelly Simonz - Opus#1
HAHAHAH the added fire on the fingers killed me!
Happy to read this 👍
Yeah. I don't know how that got me so hard, but I almost bursted coffee on my laptop 😂
Kiko could you demonstrate something by Bach, would love to hear a piano prelude or something similar.
Could you do a video with your favorite songs from the 70's-80's?
