listen to kiko's album called "universo inverso" there's some serious shit going on in that album, lots of bossa nova, latim america sound/vibe, jazz, fusion, etc

The Girl From Ipanema has been my favorite song, since hearing it in the 60s. Learning bass, Bossa Nova is my favorite style. Blue Bossa, The Girl.., and Black Orpheus just make me glad I'm playing.

I grew up listening to your music as a teen, I've listened to all Angra albums and every tutorial videos from Young Guitar magazine.
I've practiced your solos day and night and you were the teacher.
Then as I grew older, my taste broadened and I started getting into Jazz and other kinds of music.
I also started to compose music myself. I got on UA-cam and searched for "bossa nova theory"
and here you are... after 15 years, Kiko is now teaching me Bossa nova haha

Great lesson 😃 You should do The girl from Ipanema as a playthrough. Maybe a lite chord demo. A lot of fancy chords in that one and a bossa nova standard.

As an avdanced popular music student, i can say that bossa nova it's a good point to start learning about complex armonies and rhythm. It really forces you to know where are you standing, which note of the scale are you playing, etc.

Hi Kiko thank you for this episode on acoustic 💗 this was very useful 👍 I've been trying to mimic your silent night & jingle bells for about a year, and yes RIGHT, Alot of extra chords incorporated into it producing a more Enchanting & Authentic sound. ( I've been complaining to my daughter Lisa " How can He make silent night & jingle bells so complicated!"😅) I've been trying to get them right since you put it out on Ytube...probably viewed those 2 clips more than anyone trying to get it right.
