Even though I like what RE has done with the new Guerrilla 450 and Mahindra with Roxx... but there's no way I'm actually buying... Also I do prefer sporty bikes (but not KTM, cz again, the image) and cars over rugged and retro so there's that as well...
All three of these are fantastic. To see where consumer choice in India has reached is amazing. In the 80’s, 90’s, 2000’s and 10’s we only had those old school flat fender Jeeps and Gypsys with nary a creature comfort. Now, one can take on any terrain in great comfort. One thing all Auto journals have to remember is that the Jimny is the Modern Gypsy. The average speeds in India are no more than 50kmph at the max, in a mix of Highway and City driving. So one can live with the Jimny quite comfortably. Dont forget that with harder acceleration, one will also have to brake harder. So instead of zooming along, it may be better to just chunter along, considering that one doesnt derive any big advantage by “zooming”, considering the typical Indian driving conditions.
Considering interior of Gurkha and lack of features and safety features it's 18 Lakh price is unfathomable I thought it costs around 11 to 13 which would be nice. It's overpriced

I have seen one 5 door gurkha in black , it has massive road presence, i mean from images i thaught its old school car but man after seeing on road I'm literally thinking it has more road presence than thar also.😮 Literally loved gurkha after that ❤
Yes. Recently few weeks ago I saw a three door Gurkha (Black) all of sudden because very few people buy it and not easily seen on roads. Believe me it stuck in my mind since then.

I don’t know, why do people go crazy over Gurkha. The engine is old, there’s a lack of features and the quality and fit and finish are not that good. Also, Thar Roxx & Jimny are equally capable off-roader. It’s not like Gurkha is in a different league when it comes to off-roading
I don't think you ever go off the road with gurkha. Just make 1 proper off road and overlanding trip with someone who know how to do you will understand why people prefer gurkha and then jimny. Thar comes nowhere near those 2

Force is incapable of sorting things out instead of just slamming the 2.6 same old engine into an unmodified commercial chassis. The 5 door Gurkha weighs the same as the Gwagon, obnoxious case of no weight control at all. (Other 4x4 vehicles of similar/slightly bigger size- ScorpioN-2100, Fortuner-2200-300, Endevour-2300-400kg) Gurkha is tough offroader with more toughness than offroading capabilities. Remove lockers from Thar, Jimny and Gurkha and Gurkha's worth as an offroader is the same as 2014 Scorpio 4x4. If you are clueless or haven't seen Gurkha in challenging conditions check out Prashant Adventure's comparison between Jimny, Thar and Gurkha. Anyone would expect the Thar to come last but the Gurkha's performance was horrible. Had to engage lockers where the Thar and Jimny easily crawled through

More sales figures doesn't mean great car/suv, it's just that ppl don't do proper research and buy what they want, instead they follow others like sheep. Every vehicle has its own advantages and disadvantages, for instance Thars main disadvantage is it's first copy of Jeep, whether agreed or not but it is.
Its not the sales, its the third world vehicle with Force Traveller engine more intended towards a bus-like experience. The Thar is a first world vehicle easily, more so now with the 5 door and a much better vehicle overall

Jimny is an offroad legend internationally. The Jimny can go to places one could never take large and heavy vehicles like the thar and gurkha. It is built for the hills and mountains and is the perfect vehicle for those narrow terrains. Best of all it is backed by maruti’s service.l and reliability. Also being a mechanically simple vehicle with none of those modern fancy bullshit, it only more eager to go offroad. If you want an ego boost because of low self esteem buy the thar. If your self esteem is not defined by what car you drive and you enjoy a reliable, safe and go anywhere vehicle that is a serious and proven off roader, buy the Jimny. The Jimny was built to be modified! The company gives the basic car which can be customized to whatever you like.

Maruti needs to start working on a facelift for the jimny , the company needs to stop manufacturing and clear the existing inventory and update the jimny in its width and make the cabin more roomy with rear seat comfort in consideration for 5 people if possible 3 captain seats with individual arm rests in the 2nd row, arm rest in the front row, with flat folding rear seats for more boot space , the moment they increase the width in a respectable manner and work on packaging like Honda does in its cars then the cabin will feel more roomier Features set needed : 1. Top Model Major Negative Points 1 by 1 Mentioned Below... 1. Top Model होने के बावजूद सिर्फ एक Key Remote वाली है जब सुबह Start करते है तो कई बार उसका Left वाला Door अपने आप अंदर से Lock हो जाता है पर Right वाला नहीं होता ऐसा मेरे साथ 15 से 20 बार हो चुका है। 2. दूसरे Door पर Key Lock नहीं है और दुसरी Key भी Remote वाली नहीं है। 3. Diesel Cap पर Key Lock दिया है पर Door पर नहीं दिया अगर दुसरी Key Remote वाली नहीं देनी थी तो Left Door पर Lock दे देते। 4. Two Door होने पर भी Climb Handle सिर्फ एक तरफ ही दिया है जिसको पकड़ कर गाड़ी में दाखिल होते है इतनी पुरानी कंपनी के लिए कितने शर्म की बात है। 5. Driver सीट पर बैठे Left वाले AC Vent की हवा Chest या Face पर नहीं आती Ac Vent को पूरा Tilt करने पर सिर्फ बाई कंधे तक ही आती है Check करने के लिए सभी Ac Vent बंद करने के बाद सिर्फ ये Driver Side का Left वाला Open करके Check kare... महिंद्रा जी Ac Vent पर थोड़ा ध्यान से काम करलो भाई । 6. Automatic में भी Dead Padel नहीं है 7. 2 Door है और दोनों में से एक भी Glass Auto Up Down नहीं है और Mahinda इसे अपना Top Model कह कर बेचती है। 8. Arm Rest नहीं है Year 2022 तक 9. Pocket में Key होने पर जब चेयर पर बैठते है तो Remote Key का बटन आपने आप दबने से आवाज Alert बजने लगता है। 10. Thar को Unlock करके अंदर बैठते ही उसको मैनुअल Lock करते है तो वो Lock होकर साथ की साथ Unlock हो जाती है। यह कई Situation में बहुत Danger हो जाता है कि जब हम ignition में बिना चाबी डाले और कई बार उसको अंदर से Lock करना चाहें तो वह Lock होकर साथ ही Unlock हो जाती है। 11. Fuel Cap पर Lock होने से तेज गर्मी में Diesel भरवाते समय गाड़ी को बंद करके उसकी चाबी Petrol Pump Worker को देनी पड़ती है जिससे गाड़ी का Ac भी बंद हो जाता है... मज़ाक बना के रख दिया Top Model का.. 12. Highway पर Ride Bouncy हो जाती है। Next Top Model गाड़ी... Neo Plus में Folding Mirror नहीं है, पीछे Ac Vent नहीं है 9 लोगों के बैठने की जगह है और वो लोग 45-48 डिग्री के तापमान में जल-भुन जाए पर महिंद्रा तो महिंद्रा है देश की कंपनी hahaha... Bolero aur Neo Bolero की पूरी Range में और Scorpio Classic and Marazzo में Auto Gear ही नहीं दिया मतलब देश की स्त्रियों के लिए कोई सहूलियत नहीं है जो व्यक्ति या कंपनी देश की स्त्रियों के लिए नहीं सोचती वह देश के हित के लिए कम और खुद के Profits के लिए ज्यादा सोचती है। मेरा मानना है कोई भी गाड़ी चाहे Base Model ही हो देश की Females के लिए Seat Height Adjustment Compulsory होना चाहिए। Base Model से तीन चीजें Compulsory होनी चाहिए... 1- Seat Height Adjustment. 2- Rear Wiper. 3- Electric Folding Mirror Adjustment. Xuv 300 W6 Amt Petrol 2023 स्त्रियों के लिए Hight Seat Adjustment नहीं है सिर्फ Rs 500 की बात होगी पर इन पढ़े लिखे लोगों ने नहीं दी। महिंद्रा की Xuv 300 Amt Petrol City के Rush Areas and Bumper to Bumper Traffic में अभिशाप है ये गाड़ी पर Highway पर बढ़िया चलती है... इनको 2024 में अब अकल आई XUV 300 Petrol की Gear Amt नहीं बल्कि Torque Converter होना चाहिए... महिंद्रा को इतने सालों का तजुर्बा होने के बाद भी ये गाड़ियां बना रहे है या .... 😅 Mahindra हो या TaTa इनको अभी तक Steering Tilt Adjustment समझ नहीं आई की नीचे की तरफ कितना नीचे जाना चाहिए क्योंकि हद से ज्यादा ऊपर की तरफ है जैसे कोई ट्रक चला रहे हो और तो और Bolero में Steering Adjustment दिया ही नहीं... वाह महिंद्रा वाह क्या बात है। Mahindra ji आपसे निवेदन है कि जब कभी आपको समय मिले तो यह कमियाँ चेक करने के बाद इनकी कमियों को दूर करने का प्रयास करे। आपके इस प्रयास से सभी लोगों को इसका लाभ प्राप्त होगा। 🙏 Specially Thar Front Driver Side Wala Left Ac Vent के बेकार डिजाइन की वज़ह से जिसकी हवा मुह या छाती पर नहीं आती... धन्यवाद जी...
Maruti Jimmy fans aate hi honge apne global product ki badai karne. Jaha bhi jimmy ka mention hota hai ye bhar aate hain. Competition me jimny hai bhi nahi bro. It's a small off-roader that's it. Thar bhi global market me hoti to vahan bhi jimny se adhik bikti
Thar is too big for the narrow Indian roads and streets. Jimny is OK size wise but from looks point of view it could be 1 inch wider which will enhance its road presence. So bottom line is there are so many cars available in India but not a single car which ticks all the boxes.
Land Rover’s where made for off-roading still they have white interior but thing is 99 percent of owners don’t take them off the road but Mahindra should have given darker interior colors cause majority of the buyers should go off roading but dosent make much sense for the rwd versions they should have gives a darker brown interior for the 4wd versions
Gurkha has the grade level basics.... but is Force motors ready for spare parts availability of spare and services...... hope Force motors Ltd.... keep upto the actual DNA.... of the Gurkha regiment.... particularly the Gurkha regiment.
with 26000 km completed in less than 1 year JIMNY is more suitable for hilly state tried everywhere offroad to highway more km mean more mileage and less maintenance cost waiting for facelift sierra version with powerful engine
I do not agree with the verdict for one reason. The Thar requires the passengers to climb into the vehicle. Doing it once or twice is alright, but that will becoming annoying on a daily basis. And for that reason, the Thar is not a family-friendly car.
All the offroaders in the market right now are not at all suitable as a family car anywhich ways....some might say roxx has so much of space and its true but at the same time CLIMBING the roxx is not a easy task for elderly or woman wearing sarees and even if they manage that the suspension will not let them settle ...hence its only the matter of performance...thar/gurkha being bigger have heavier weight and power in comparison to Jimmy's lighter weight n smaller engine( but with no ACTUAL offroad compromise n lesser price)..😊😊so jimny makes more sense in every possible way both for its smoother city rides (with smaller and manageable size)and hardcore offroading (all thanks to its smaller and manageable size plus potent engine).....but again log fortuner bhi use krte hai is desh me DIKHANE ke liye😅😅so its never the end to the thoughts n fight
THAR ROXX with Plush Interiors/Infotainment & ultra white colour seats and upholstry who is going to do off-road. Its no more a Hard core Off-roader despite its added armoury for doing the same. with who's behest MAHINDRA debut ROXX in its present form cannibalising XUV 7OO. 3/5 Door THARR with better reworked Interior management of space and utility would be the best thing to do.

Mahindra badly needs help with colour choices... White interiors on THAR & 3XO.. so unthoughtful... Also the over done copper inserts on XUV400...

The 5 door Gurkha weighs the same as the Gwagon, obnoxious case of no weight control at all. (Other 4x4 vehicles of similar/slightly bigger size- ScorpioN-2100, Fortuner-2200-300, Endevour-2300-400kg)
Gurkha is tough offroader with more toughness than offroading capabilities. Remove lockers from Thar, Jimny and Gurkha and Gurkha's worth as an offroader is the same as 2014 Scorpio 4x4.
If you are clueless or haven't seen Gurkha in challenging conditions check out Prashant Adventure's comparison between Jimny, Thar and Gurkha. Anyone would expect the Thar to come last but the Gurkha's performance was horrible. Had to engage lockers where the Thar and Jimny easily crawled through

@@jattboy2043 comparing with majority of cars on the road, Scorpio N has low range gear and locking rear diff, so it can go off-road, definitely not as far as others, but I am curious how much it can go. Maybe just a lift kit is needed and then it will have other numbers better for off-roading

More sales figures doesn't mean great car/suv, it's just that ppl don't do proper research and buy what they want, instead they follow others like sheep. Every vehicle has its own advantages and disadvantages, for instance Thars main disadvantage is it's first copy of Jeep, whether agreed or not but it is.
Its not the sales, its the third world vehicle with Force Traveller engine more intended towards a bus-like experience. The Thar is a first world vehicle easily, more so now with the 5 door and a much better vehicle overall

Jimny is an offroad legend internationally. The Jimny can go to places one could never take large and heavy vehicles like the thar and gurkha. It is built for the hills and mountains and is the perfect vehicle for those narrow terrains. Best of all it is backed by maruti’s service.l and reliability. Also being a mechanically simple vehicle with none of those modern fancy bullshit, it only more eager to go offroad.
If you want an ego boost because of low self esteem buy the thar. If your self esteem is not defined by what car you drive and you enjoy a reliable, safe and go anywhere vehicle that is a serious and proven off roader, buy the Jimny.
The Jimny was built to be modified! The company gives the basic car which can be customized to whatever you like.

Honesty I don't have budget at this moment but my first choice will be a Gurkha but its seating and old looking interior can push me to go with Thar 5 door.

Maruti needs to start working on a facelift for the jimny , the company needs to stop manufacturing and clear the existing inventory and update the jimny in its width and make the cabin more roomy with rear seat comfort in consideration for 5 people if possible 3 captain seats with individual arm rests in the 2nd row, arm rest in the front row, with flat folding rear seats for more boot space , the moment they increase the width in a respectable manner and work on packaging like Honda does in its cars then the cabin will feel more roomier

My Mahindra Thar 2022 Auto 4×4 Hard Top. Top Model Major Negative Points 1 by 1 Mentioned Below...
1. Top Model होने के बावजूद सिर्फ एक Key Remote वाली है जब सुबह Start करते है तो कई बार उसका Left वाला Door अपने आप अंदर से Lock हो जाता है पर Right वाला नहीं होता ऐसा मेरे साथ 15 से 20 बार हो चुका है।
2. दूसरे Door पर Key Lock नहीं है और दुसरी Key भी Remote वाली नहीं है।
3. Diesel Cap पर Key Lock दिया है पर Door पर नहीं दिया अगर दुसरी Key Remote वाली नहीं देनी थी तो Left Door पर Lock दे देते।
4. Two Door होने पर भी Climb Handle सिर्फ एक तरफ ही दिया है जिसको पकड़ कर गाड़ी में दाखिल होते है इतनी पुरानी कंपनी के लिए कितने शर्म की बात है।
5. Driver सीट पर बैठे Left वाले AC Vent की हवा Chest या Face पर नहीं आती Ac Vent को पूरा Tilt करने पर सिर्फ बाई कंधे तक ही आती है Check करने के लिए सभी Ac Vent बंद करने के बाद सिर्फ ये Driver Side का Left वाला Open करके Check kare... महिंद्रा जी Ac Vent पर थोड़ा ध्यान से काम करलो भाई ।
6. Automatic में भी Dead Padel नहीं है
7. 2 Door है और दोनों में से एक भी Glass Auto Up Down नहीं है और Mahinda इसे अपना Top Model कह कर बेचती है।
8. Arm Rest नहीं है Year 2022 तक
9. Pocket में Key होने पर जब चेयर पर बैठते है तो Remote Key का बटन आपने आप दबने से आवाज Alert बजने लगता है।
10. Thar को Unlock करके अंदर बैठते ही उसको मैनुअल Lock करते है तो वो Lock होकर साथ की साथ Unlock हो जाती है। यह कई Situation में बहुत Danger हो जाता है कि जब हम ignition में बिना चाबी डाले और कई बार उसको अंदर से Lock करना चाहें तो वह Lock होकर साथ ही Unlock हो जाती है।
11. Fuel Cap पर Lock होने से
तेज गर्मी में Diesel भरवाते समय गाड़ी को बंद करके उसकी चाबी Petrol Pump Worker को देनी पड़ती है जिससे गाड़ी का Ac भी बंद हो जाता है... मज़ाक बना के रख दिया Top Model का..
12. Highway पर Ride Bouncy हो जाती है।

Bolero aur Neo Bolero की पूरी Range में और Scorpio Classic and Marazzo में Auto Gear ही नहीं दिया मतलब देश की स्त्रियों के लिए कोई सहूलियत नहीं है जो व्यक्ति या कंपनी देश की स्त्रियों के लिए नहीं सोचती वह देश के हित के लिए कम और खुद के Profits के लिए ज्यादा सोचती है।
मेरा मानना है कोई भी गाड़ी चाहे Base Model ही हो देश की Females के लिए Seat Height Adjustment Compulsory होना चाहिए। Base Model से तीन चीजें Compulsory होनी चाहिए...
1- Seat Height Adjustment.
2- Rear Wiper.
3- Electric Folding Mirror Adjustment.

All these vehicles are 5 or atleast 4 seaters. So, why not to put these on test with passengers in same off-road conditions?
Thar is too big for the narrow Indian roads and streets. Jimny is OK size wise but from looks point of view it could be 1 inch wider which will enhance its road presence.
So bottom line is there are so many cars available in India but not a single car which ticks all the boxes.
Fix the Jimny rear seat and I think it’s quite a good car.

Land Rover’s where made for off-roading still they have white interior but thing is 99 percent of owners don’t take them off the road but Mahindra should have given darker interior colors cause majority of the buyers should go off roading but dosent make much sense for the rwd versions they should have gives a darker brown interior for the 4wd versions

I do not agree with the verdict for one reason. The Thar requires the passengers to climb into the vehicle. Doing it once or twice is alright, but that will becoming annoying on a daily basis. And for that reason, the Thar is not a family-friendly car.

All the offroaders in the market right now are not at all suitable as a family car anywhich ways....some might say roxx has so much of space and its true but at the same time CLIMBING the roxx is not a easy task for elderly or woman wearing sarees and even if they manage that the suspension will not let them settle ...hence its only the matter of performance...thar/gurkha being bigger have heavier weight and power in comparison to Jimmy's lighter weight n smaller engine( but with no ACTUAL offroad compromise n lesser price)..😊😊so jimny makes more sense in every possible way both for its smoother city rides (with smaller and manageable size)and hardcore offroading (all thanks to its smaller and manageable size plus potent engine).....but again log fortuner bhi use krte hai is desh me DIKHANE ke liye😅😅so its never the end to the thoughts n fight

THAR ROXX with Plush Interiors/Infotainment & ultra white colour seats and upholstry who is going to do off-road. Its no more a Hard core Off-roader despite its added armoury for doing the same. with who's behest MAHINDRA debut ROXX in its present form cannibalising XUV 7OO. 3/5 Door THARR with better reworked Interior management of space and utility would be the best thing to do.
