Marina Sirtis - Deanna Troi on Star Trek the Next Generation - Full 2018 Panel

  • The one and only Marina Sirtis -- world-famous for portraying the beloved counselor Commander Deanna Troi in the iconic "Star Trek: The Next Generation" TV series and its subsequent feature films -- delights fans at this 2018 Q&A panel by revealing what went on behind-the-scenes and answering fan questions in her quintessentially irreverent style.
Along with Colm Meaney (Miles O'Brien) and Michael Dorn (Worf), Sirtis is one of three regular Star Trek cast members to have made multiple appearances as the same character on a different series. She is also one of only six actors to play the same character on three different live action Star Trek series; the others to do so are Jonathan Frakes (William T. Riker), Armin Shimerman (Quark), John de Lancie (Q), Michael Ansara (Kang) and Richard Poe (Evek). Sirtis credits both the Star Trek television and movie series for bringing her a following of fans that can never be rivaled.

I do love Marina ...being a brit myself i remeber her on shows such as casualty ect it the UK after TNG i think the reason i like her so much is shes a typical british cockney at heart and says things as they are (wich sometimes rubs folks up the wrong way) BUT shes not afraid to speak her mind and i respect that unlike a lot of actors who atend conventions ect and still put on an act ect! when she attends a convention your gonna get the real person and not someone whos acting a role to a degree for the fans ....Yes shes contriversal, speaks her mind and says stuff as it is with politics and whats going on ect and i love and respect her for that!

I met her in Seattle in 1994. They told us not to talk to her as she signed photos, but after 45 minutes in line, I was finally there. Slid my photo over, she signed it, and I said 'Thank you, Marina!" She looked up as in shock and gave me the greatest smile on earth and said "You're welcome!!" Made my day. I have the photo framed in the cave. She's so damned hot in that photo...

Marina Sirtis another incredible character actress. For me my favorite performance is Demona in Gargoyles opposite Jonathan Frakes' David Xantos whose likeness was based of William Ryker. Also her guest spots in Stargate SG-1, NCIS, and recently Titans was great.

I have always liked her, she is also a extremely funny person. I used to think for the first couple of seasons her Deanna Troi accent occasionally made her sound wooden but like a lot of actors in time she grew. Her best acting to date for me was the season three episode the survivors. In that episode her character is in so much pain and you can feel it with her, if an actor can do that and pull at your heart strings they are something special and that demands respect. Thank you Marina for your beauty and wisdom.
