That soldier NEVER LIED. Watching the shows over and over again really takes away the stresses of our lives. TNG and Voyager have been my friends and family. Thank you so much for being dedicated to your profession and making the characters come to life.
This has actually hit home for me. After living far away from my family, losing my kids (nasty seperation) i seem to have lost all purpose in my life. Though for the few hours between getting home from work till i fall asleep i watch tng and voyager, those feelings seem to disappear when trek is on. Perhaps the point you make is the reason for it. I only got into trek in the last 5 years so in no way could it be the feeling of reminiscence of better times.
Innerspace100 At the 2013 convention here in Boston, she did just that. Shatner was trying to dominate the conversation and wouldn't let them speak. She got right up and smacked him in the face, to the cheers of us in the audience, haha
Great video! I think Brent Spiner is one of the most underrated comedian ever, he should be the host of some kind of hyper funny Late show and I think he could be really amazing!

I like how William is ignoring what Mirina was doing but she gave all the cast members ability to be seen. She wasn’t wrong. No wonder the person filming was sooo close up. Now you can appreciate the whole panel. To that soldier man 🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏👏👏, Thank You Sir 😔😔😔😔.
You're right. She made it a better experience for everyone. And the crowd loved it. I think sometimes they forget that the only reason these people are relevant is because of the fans of the show.
@Aerojet01 That may be, but you are wrong in this instance. By taking the time at the first to remove those obnoxious props she made sure the camera as well as the audience could see Michael, Gates, and Denise. You could all it obnoxious all you want, but it was thinking about the actors AND the people they were there for.
As a retired disabled veteran, that brought a tear to see the actors share there heartfelt appreciation, not just for one brave soldier, but for all veterans and military worldwide, as well to the family and friends who also sacrifice to support us. I can’t even count how many times people have shook my hand, given a pat on the back and a warm thank you for my service, not to mention how people stepped aside to let me to the front of a checkout line or strangers who told me my money was no good here and paid for my coffee and meals when I was in uniform, ones that saw me walking on a side walk and offered a ride, to all the caring and selfless people who go out of there way to show there support and appreciation, you are my hero’s! Star Trek TNG is a life changing show if anyone is willing to spend time to watch it. To my dad who needed to learn english, TNG provided the most clearest dialogue and the most accurate grammar to date. He was not a fan of the show, but used it as a learning tool. So that was great. Saw this 2 years ago and the part that popped in my mind on a Sunday evening 13:25 minute mark is that the cast of this show hugged a soldier going through tough times. There's a reason why this cast stands out from all of the star trek shows. No drama, mutual respect for one another and love for their fans.
For the veteran, Thank you for serving our country and thank you for saying it. Wow, that almost made me cry. I am not a veteran and he is right. He speaks for all of us. I never knew I felt that way but it is true. These shows did speak to me. It was like a family and although they were fictional characters, they were role models. I hope that the cast and crew realizes just how magical of an impact they made on our lives.
Riker and Troi lovestory is really the reason why i watched this show...and now I'm rerunning the series..we all have our own fav character...for me Star Trek TNG is the best Star Trek... I'm also in a moving on stage ..so i guess they really help people a lot.. luv u guys
They came by once to eat some fresh cut sushi around 8 years ago. was a chef at a restaurant. a few months later Brent Spiner arrives at a pizza store I used to do deliveries. he drove a very long early 80s car. he seemed very scared. a few weeks later, Sir Patrick Stewart visits the same pizza store with a grand British style suit with a smile. all those moments, I thought of them oddly. but was glad to see them.
The original Star Trek is a classic, TNG was/is the 1 of my generation. I had no idea at the time it would go on to become the classic it is 2day. Both shows STILL to this day are just gr8 television.
Never been to one of these but I adore TNG just so much. Watched this whole video and loved every moment. Really amazing! Thank you original uploader :)
The Next Generation anchored our Saturday evenings as my wife and I moved into our thirties with family surrounding us. I cannot recall missing (either seeing them live or taped for later on our VCR; remember those?) any episodes in that era of their original broadcast. That I look back and see the start of the show was 27 years ago I certainly become very nostalgic and completely understand the still-powerful draw of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Steady-on, Star Trekkers.
Same for me my mother and sister saturday was the best night of our lives. It was the only thing we truly enjoyed as a family. Even now my mother and i wont talk for years but when a new movie comes out we try to see it together. I miss this show a bunch
When she says "I enjoyed 'A Fistful of Data' cause we had to go to another studio" I seriously for a moment just thought "what are you talking about, that was just the holodeck"
The Veteran talking at 12:10 just touched my heart! I can SO understand what he means about it helping him get through tough times. The premise/moral to the episodes in the show just gives such a sense of hope and positivity to me.
+Sirmellowman So true. The show can really draw you in and help you forget about life for a while. It is therapeutic. Episodes like The Drumhead and Brothers have always stuck with me. The end line of Brothers really makes you think. They're brothers, Data. Brothers forgive.
Sirmellowman yea but then I think about all the iraqiis with lost limps, being cast out of society, begging on sandy streets in pain and little healthcare, with the looming threat of ISIS. and i cant help to think how fucked up and stupid this human race is at the moment in history, as pointed out many times in TNG.
i fucking love DATA . man whenever im having a shitty day at work i picture data and captain picard and then captain picard calling MR DATA lol . been watching the episodes over again , they calm my anxiety down .
I’ve seen a lot of these conventions..At first Marina was a bit much, then, kinda punk rock...seeing the way this video started...that’s why Marina is awesome. She is the only, and I mean ONLY one who would make a scene to help those people in the audience, at the sake of embarrassing herself. That’s why she keeps showing up, rocking the house, and the other actors love it, trust me...just finished the video...the story about Dorn? My point again. People like her fuck shit up in a good way, gotta respect that. She literally helped save him hours every time in that make up chair, only she would do that, everybody just minds their business and is too scared to help.
Thanks for this! Some of the moments between Spiner and Dorn reminded me of the scene in Liaisons where Worf complains about a bad-tempered ambassador, and Data says, "You share all those qualities in abundance; perhaps you should try to build on your similarities."
Just like with so much of Star Trek, I get hit with unexpected feels in this video. That veteran's moment really opened the floodgates in my eyes. Respect
BBC America has TNG marathons every week... as a matter of fact im watching it right now. I'll have it on even in the background and it has like a calming effect on me. I never get tired of watching them.
roddenberry just had this incredible vision of what humans could be and made a show about it. that’s what makes next generation the best and most timeless trek. so little television has any vision, or meaning.
I was moved also, but always the funny guy too, I thought it would have been hilarious if Bill would have yelled out, "Get a life"! lol Brent looked like he couldn't be bothered, haha.
Star Trek means a great deal to a lot of people. We can't comprehend what that Soldier had to endure during his active service. So let's not scoff people.
I used to watch this show with my father when I was a young lad. He used to tell me stories about how he used to watch the first one religiously and we bonded more .Thank you to this show!
Marina Sirtis and Gates McFadden are both heroes among that cast. Marina for clearing the sight lines, Gates for leading the charge down to acknowledge that soldier. They are carrying the torch with honor. Magnificent.
Never been to a convention, so I wouldn't know if anyone ever noticed-- Rodenberry's ship crews were virtually devoid of narcissism. A common vision and purpose brought everyone together. Characters that didn't know each other very well would be there for each other in a pinch because they all shared the same ideals. Even the asocial or timid were supported, encouraged, tutored. Complete opposite of what is often found in U Tube comment sections. Can't make the world of Star Trek a living reality treating each other that way. Isn't the world of civil harmony, like in Insurrection what captivates the fans?
Yes, it's not warp travel and transporters that are the real fiction, the real fiction is the idea that mankind could one day stop being so evil. Unfortunately, that is impossible for man to achieve. No matter how hard humans try, they just can't overcome the evil that is in everyone. However, I am here to proclaim that there _is_ as way for sinful humans to be made good: through the Gospel of Jesus Christ… One day there _will_ be a society of good, noble human beings, very similar to Star Trek, only even nicer. It is called the Realm of God (also known as the Kingdom of God). The humans who live in this Realm will all be men and women who have repented of their former evil ways, and followed after Jesus Christ, and been born again, made into new people. These people will rise from the dead and receive new, immortal bodies and live forever with Jesus. That is a true hope, not fiction. I know Jesus, He has come into my life and spoken to me and He has set me free from the horrible sin I used to be in. I am a completely changed man, free from evil thoughts and motivations. Christ set me free from the grip that sin had over me. Now I am able to be good, and I would fit in perfectly with the characters on the Enterprise. That is the kind of place where I am heading: not into Starfleet, but into a future community of good, saintly people who have all been forgiven of their former mistakes and granted the power to overcome both sin and death and live forever in glory. Being part of the Realm of God is even better than being in Starfleet :) But folks, please beware of "church" - it is a false religion established by Satan. Religion does not save people, nor does belonging to a church. Instead, read the Gospel of John and follow after *Jesus* and talk to Him. That's all I did, in my bedroom, and real miracles started happening in my life. But the process of salvation cannot begin without repentance over what we have done wrong. Finding our way into the Realm of God is not about improving our lives, it's about one worthless life ending and a new, much better one beginning, through the indwelling Spirit of God who changes men into new people. If anyone would like more info, please subscribe to my channel where I am shortly going to be sharing some videos covering the essential truths of salvation in Jesus Christ. Best wishes and God bless you. :)
Peter Smith Their response to him is so genuine and caring, it really reaffirms the quality of people that Gene picked to represent such a great show. These guys are awesome and they're really sincere and humble about it.
My favorite episode of TNG is The Neutral Zone, last episode of season 1. It was the one where data finds frozen people in space & Dr. Crusher brings em back to life.
I think she realized that she screwed up big time and is trying to do her best to fix something she feels bad about. However, I think a lot of fans see her as a spare wheel.
I think what didn't help her was Natasha Yar was like Ensign Ro Laren and Major Kira, those strong independent 'I don't need no man' types that all had insecurities and were all fairly unpopular characters compared with their respective casts and so that coupled with the fact she left early dampened her fan base in Star Trek TNG although I personally think she was a lot better as Romulan Commander Sela than as Natasha Yar.
10:40 I only just realized that Denise Crosby was on the stage. lol When i heard them say Denise, i was like wtf? I was expecting to see her come out the backstage, apologizing for being late or something.
I was listening to this at work but that bit with the soldier hit me so hard I had to go escape to the bathroom just to keep from crying in public lmao, props to that dude he touched a lot of people
Ty so much for posting this awesome event. But, because of my autism and hearing loss, both, I need captions. Please caption this video for those of us that have hearing loss. It would be greatly appreciated.
There is a very triggering episode called "violations", season 5, which I have mixed feelings about. I think it should have a content warning and a rating of 16+, it shook me completely. It takes about relieving painful memories and also features sexual assault. I think it can be extremely useful for dealing with repressed traumatic memories, it has helped me with such an issue. But one needs to be prepared for the process in advance. Luckily, I knew this would be an episode featuring a form of rape but was still quite shaken for about 36 hours. So generally, I am glad they made such an episode, but think that no person who has been trough sexual assault or childhood trauma should ever watch it without support.
That soldier NEVER LIED. Watching the shows over and over again really takes away the stresses of our lives. TNG and Voyager have been my friends and family. Thank you so much for being dedicated to your profession and making the characters come to life.

Makes me proud to be a Star Trek fan.
Agreed
actually he did , he has legs
Wow, thank you Marina Sirtis for saving this video right away!
Also, I'm proud of Shatner for not trying to dominate the conversation. It's like... It's like he's finally learning.
He's evolved slowly lol
Marina would have put him right in his place if he'd even tried...
/Oblg.: It's ... like ... Shatner ... is ... learning.
(Sorry couldn't resist) :-)
Dominating a conversation is impossible when Marina Sirtis is in the room. lol

Either Brent Spiner or Marina Sirtis could easily have their own comedy special.
The Spiner and Dorn show for me
Seen "Fresh Hell"...it's here on youtube
Why does Marina walk away ar the beginning and why couldn't they show what she did when she got up?? Thanks for sharing..

However, I am here to proclaim that there _is_ as way for sinful humans to be made good: through the Gospel of Jesus Christ…
One day there _will_ be a society of good, noble human beings, very similar to Star Trek, only even nicer.
Being part of the Realm of God is even better than being in Starfleet :)
But folks, please beware of "church" - it is a false religion established by Satan.

Tilda Swinton as Data would be PERFECT! lmao
omg, u r a genius! Yes!
oh wow 13:00 got me right in the feels
Peter Smith big time
Peter Smith Their response to him is so genuine and caring, it really reaffirms the quality of people that Gene picked to represent such a great show. These guys are awesome and they're really sincere and humble about it.
Peter Smith yes. ALL YOU VETS OUT THERE THANKS YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE AND SACRIFICE!!!
Peter Smith It is the first time I have seen Bill Shatner choked up....
+Peter Smith Yep. That triggered severe eye allergies here.
Patrick Stewart impression of Bill is AMAZING.
ALWAYS loved original series, TNG, DS-9, VOYAGER and even ENTERPRISE. LONG LIVE THE FEDERATION!
I was not prepared for the feels. Great people.
Thank you very much for posting this.
My favorite episode of TNG is The Neutral Zone, last episode of season 1. It was the one where data finds frozen people in space & Dr. Crusher brings em back to life.
Oh yeah... the millionaire, the housewife and musician. The musician was great. Drank, and hung out with "the android" hahaha
I know Denise probably gets paid well for her time but she must feel like a spare wheel for a lot of these panels.
Mr. K She had sex with Data, some hell of a wheel.
In all of her interviews, she insists it was the right decision for her. She felt basically like the new Uhura.
Mike Lovecchio Yeah, a gay and a lesbian had sex together lmao
I like how it takes 11 minutes for Denise Crosby to be seen or heard from.
thanks for posting this. it was great to see how they are now
Patrick Stewart And Brent Spiner were the two great acting talents in the Next Generation.
This is great. There should have been more mash ups with the old and new casts
10:40 I only just realized that Denise Crosby was on the stage. lol When i heard them say Denise, i was like wtf? I was expecting to see her come out the backstage, apologizing for being late or something.
Hahaha right??? Me too
I was listening to this at work but that bit with the soldier hit me so hard I had to go escape to the bathroom just to keep from crying in public lmao, props to that dude he touched a lot of people
I remembered this watching it 2 years ago and this popped into my mind. I blame the onions in my kitchen for the tears.
This show is wonderful, great audience
To be honest, I was an original Star Trek fan & was very skeptical about TNG, but after watching I have come to like and care about these characters
Marina Sirtis made the show this time. Almost died laughing.
Gates.
I like this. Is this from an alternate timeline where Picard died in Generations, and Kirk took over the TNG crew lol
I love how everyone is roasting everyone lol
This is a great panel but SHATNER AS A TNG PANEL MOD?! WHY DID NOBODY THINK OF THIS IDEA SOONER? THIS IS AMAZING
Ty so much for posting this awesome event. But, because of my autism and hearing loss, both, I need captions. Please caption this video for those of us that have hearing loss. It would be greatly appreciated.
I thought I was the only one who relied on star trek for helping to deal with PTSD.
I always had a crush on Dr. Crusher!!!!!!!!!
Marina Sirtis at convention panels never gets old!
Marina is touch and go...thats why I love her!
Marina Sirtis would make a pretty great starship Captain. She gets things done.
Awww man this gives me memories of the old days of TNG!
My dad dragged me into watching it but l hated it when l was younger only when l got older l appreciated the show
+Rose Eastyy Daddy's girl huh?
@@2010thekingofkings great pickup line
