How to Make White Russian Big Lebowski Inspired Cupcakes | Cupcake Jemma

- The Big Lebowski is far and away my favourite movie of all time. The Dude is my all time favourite character. If you have never seen it then there is a good chance that you will not know what the hell is going on in this video but the main thing is that the cupcakes turned out DELICIOUS!
Recipe-
For the cupcakes...
125g unsalted butter, soft
125g self raising flour
125g caster sugar
1/4 tsp bicarbonate of soda
2 lg free-range eggs
1.5 tbsp strong coffee/espresso
Buttercream...
150g unsalted butter, soft
345g icing sugar, sifted
2 tbsp vodka or milk
2 tbsp Kahlua or strong coffee
dash of vanilla extract if you're not using alcohol
Ganache...
100g double cream
100g dark chocolate chips
1 tbsp Kahlua (optional)
Filling...
100g double cream
4 tsp Kahlua/or coffee with a dash of vanilla

Great recipe! Never thought about adding vodka to cupcakes. The irony is though cupcakes are not traditional food here in Russia really it only came to us quite recently from the West as a popular dessert to order in cafes))) xx

Kahlua is my favorite liquor. Although I am not much of a drinker, I do occasionally like a drink called Smith and Kerns. It is kahlua and half and half over ice and a big splash of Coke on the top. I know, sounds weird but that splash of Coke makes the drink foamy and creamy delicious. I'm not a fan of Vodka. Maybe I will just add extra Kahlua instead or add coffee or even Coke? Maybe not the Coke! Coffee, definitely! Yum!
