@@FlapjackR Probably because you're an idiot. "Prepped for decorating" means they're not done. You need a flat surface to work on if you plan to say draw Shrek's face on the cupcake. No one's holding the other cupcakes hostage. And factory cupcakes usually come with the classic swirl.
@@bakedbydan, I just saw You last night On 'Winner Cake All' 😊😅 I know it's an old show But I still like watching it. Thanks for the Tip, I will try it
I started doing this at my job for when people want thongs wrotten in gel on top of something that already has stuff on it... Like oreo pies. I cant write on a pile or oreos, so i picked this trick up and did the eame thing wirh soft serve ice cream! Thank you, innovative bakers!
Using paper leaves a weird uneven patern on top. I recommend either right on the baking sheet or silicone mat. Also, if you can use patterned mats for a cool design!
Never once had an issue with that. Lol are you being messy with it? The paper would just a flat. Are you using old crumbled paper? Lol most often its being covered be the decorating part.
@frosty1297 I don't even use wax paper. I use cheap parchment paper from a doller store. I'm also decorating the cupcakes. You won't be able to anything. Lol I have used silicone disc to make patterns but most often, this technique is done to later had decorations. So who would care about wrinkles
It shouldn’t, and never has, left a pattern for me. Parchment paper doesn’t have any pattern in it. Are you laying it on a flat surface and transferring it to the fridge/freezer to firm up before removing it from the paper? This sounds like user error and not an issue with the technique itself.
It’d be cute to make them look like stacked wood rings for a one year old’s birthday or something. Or just different colored stacked layers in general:)
This is…genius, for real. I always scrape off the tip of the frosting mound, just because it’s easier to eat instead of dislocating my jaw. Why don’t more people/bakeries do this!?! QUICK!! File a utility patent, lol!!😂 (I think that’s the right patent to reference, need to consult any shark tank episode to confirm)
When I worked at a store bakery our cupcakes weren't greasy on the bottom either but I doubt where we bought them from the didn't use rice in the pans. There are different papers (like from Wilton sold in craft stores) that are grease free papers.
@@sharonhahn88If you're talking about the brown ones from Wilton I've used those. They're great but I have had them leave a greasy bottom before. I really think it has to do with the recipe. Some use quite a bit of butter while others use less or just a bit of vegetable oil. I haven't made boxed cupcakes in yrs. When I did I never had that problem. Crazy, right?
@tammiemartinez6485 No they have different designs on them and they really do hold back the grease. I won't always spend the cash for those except for special occasions.
That looks aesthetically pleasing as well as functional. 😍
Mmmmmmmm yum yum yummy
Completely disagree, I much prefer rustic home baked goods not ones that look factory made.

@@FlapjackR..... Ok
That's not exactly it though, @@FlapjackR
Nothing about this is factory made either, individual creations existed back then same as today.
For some reason these look more tasty than the regular piped cupcakes 🤤
probably makes less mess too
simple desserts are the tastiest looking
They do 😂
Maybe bc you get an even amount of frosting? Unlike a regular one where the middle is more frosting than cake lmao
it’s giving sugar cookie
So helpful!I tried this but also did a 2nd layer that’s thinner so that I could scratch out a design
Glad it helped! I love that idea!!
Great idea n it looks nice too
😊🎉🎉❤

Personal. Thats the perfect amount of icing
And way easier to eat! Haha
Agree
Still way too much in my opinion. But I am one of those weirdos who thinks anything more than like a micron-thin coating of icing is overkill
It's the same amount as before, now it's just flat.
@@kathleenneafsey2075I see your point, but most cupcakes I've had has way to much icing.
And now I want a frosted cupcake
Right? But tbh, I always want a frosted cupcake. 😉
Same.
Vanilla cake with lime frosting? Yum! 🎉
Coffee cake with lime frosting is also really good (lime zest on a cappuccino also rocks!)
Or peppermint!!!
Must eat at all cost
Who said it was lime it could just be regular vanilla frosting colored green
@@user-lg6tx5sx5l could be. I think vanilla cake with lime frosting would be light & refreshing, not to mention TASTY! YUM! 😂
It's so simple, and yet I would never have thought of it myself - lovely looking cupcakes!
Okay but I need the recipe for the frosting mine never looks this good
Ugh!! Finally!!! This makes it so much easier to eat a cupcake!❤🎉
Never would've thought of that. Thanks!
