All the men can beat box, but Adam is in a league of his own. Tim Foust is a true Basso Profundo with a 5 octave range. He has broken speakers when doing live concerts.

Vielen Dank, dass du deine Reaktion mit uns teilst.
Reaktionsvideos wie das deine haben dafür gesorgt, dass ich mit einem gewissen Nachdruckt aus meiner Musikkonsumationsbubble getreten wurde. Durch Reaktionsvideos zu Dimash habe ich Künstler wie eben hier, Home Free, aber auch Voiceplay, Diana Ankudinova und viele, viele mehr kennen- und lieben lernen dürfen.
UA-cam ist so ein Segen, wenn man über den musikalischen Tellerrand hinausblicken möchte. Ich kann nicht sagen, wie oft ich in den letzten zwei oder drei Jahren Songs auf iTunes gekauft habe, weil ich sie hier, auf UA-cam gehört habe und nicht im Radio. Ich will für mich Musik einfach in wirklich guter Qualität haben, um sie geniessen zu können und dafür bezahle ich dann freilich auch und das gerne. Und wenn die Songs nicht auf iTunes etc. erhältlich sind, habe ich immer noch die Möglichkeit auf die Kanäle der jeweiligen Künstler zu gehen und sie mit meinen Views, Likes, Kommentaren und Abos trotzdem etwas zu unterstützen. Gerade in solchen Zeiten, in welchen keine Konzerte statt finden können, finde ich jedes noch so kleine Feedback enorm wichtig, auch wenn es das Livepublikum nicht ersetzen kann.
Danke, noch einmal an dieser Stelle für die ganze Arbeit, welche du und andere Kanalbesitzer in eure Videos steckt, um sie mit uns zu teilen.

I hope you were able to understand the subtleties of their singing it's important to understand the inflection that was used by Austin and Rob as they were singing their solos. The the bluegrass qualities of those inflections lends to the traditional nature of how the song would have been sung back in 1913 plus The yodeling which is so difficult to do in songs such as that!
Although this was first published in 1913, it was not created by that individual. It is a very, very old American Folk song that was very old when published. It was never "written" because most were illiterate and most were assuredly unable to write music. Therefore, the originator(s) of this music will never be known as that had been lost before it was published. It is a misnomer that those who publish are the writers of that which they have published.

Jaha, die nordischen Rosen. Deine Reaktion erinnert mich ein wenig an uns Ostwestfalen: Wenn es sagenhaft gut geschmeckt hat, ist ein "Jau, kann man essen", der Begeisterungssturm mit dem wir unser höchstes Wohlbefinden ausdrücken.
Ich denke also, Dir hat es gefallen. Du solltest Dir aber mal verschiedene Songs dieser Gruppe anhören. Es lohnt sich. Interressanter Weise ist "Man of Constand Sorrow" der Song, mit dem viele Sänger oder Vocal Coaches "beginnen", obwohl die tatsächliche Stimmbandbreite der Gruppe hier kaum zur Geltung kommt. Klassisch könnte man da "End of the Road" von Boyz 2 Men, Mayday, My Church, Hillibilly Bones, Can't stop the feeling, When a man loves a Woman aber auch Auld Lang Syne und helples hoping anschauen. bzw. -hören. Das verdeutlicht ein klein wenig die unglaubliche Bandbreite von z.B. Country, R&B, Gospel, Pop, aber auch klassischem Akapella die diese Gruppe beherrscht. Noch son bischen Hintergrundwissen: Alles (auch die Instrumente die man scheinbar hört) ist Gesang, bzw. Mundgeblasen und getrommelt. Die Fans dieser Gruppe nennen sich Home Fries und deren Zahl steigt ständig. Das liegt nicht nur an ihrem Gesang, sondern auch an der sehr sympathischen Art, Späße in ihrer Videos einzubauen, sich selbst nicht zu ernst zu nehmen und ihren Spaß an dem rüber zu bringen was sie tun. Sie sind nicht so "verkopft". clean und überbesonders perfekt, wie z.B. Pentatonix. Ach so: Bin seitdem ich die Jungs mal live gesehen habe, natürlich auch ein "home frie" , was man kaum bemerken dürfte:-)

Ich liebe Home Free und habe sie schon mehrmals in Europa und auch den USA gesehen und mag sie lieber als PTX (aber das kommt natürlich rein auf den persönlichen Musikgeschmack an). Sie bezeichnen sich als erste Country Vocal Band, sie machen aber mehr als Country. Übrigens ist bei diesem Stück kein Schlagzeug dabei, das ist alles Adam Rupp, der Beatboxer. Live benutzen sie bei diesem song (und 2, 3 anderen) einen Looper, Instrumente benutzen sie nicht (außer sie haben Gast-Musiker). Bitte als nächstes Reaction-video 'In The Blood' oder 'Helplessly Hoping' oder vielleicht ein live-Video von 'Fishin' In The Dark / Boondocks' - ich wollte eigentlich einen link posten, das scheint aber nicht zu funktionieren)

Bei Liveauftritten übernimmt während der Harmonica-Solos glaube ich Rob das Beatboxen. Wobei das eines der wenigen Lieder ist, bei denen eine Loopstation zum Einsatz kommt. Kenne aber auch nur die Videos und konnte die Herren leider selber noch nicht live sehen.
Ich habe dieser Song live gesehen (soooo gut!) aber Rob beatboxer nicht, dies ist einer der Songs mit dem Looper

Der Beatboxer von Home Free, Adam Rupp, ist auch zweifacher Weltmeister im Beatboxen, wenn mich nicht alles tauscht. Es gibt von ihm auch "Drum Solos" auf UA-cam, wo der Mann Mal so richtig zeigt was er kann.
Ich empfehle hier auf jedenfall noch "End of the road", ein Cover des Megahits von Boys 2 Men. Desweiteren "Ring of Fire" von Johnny Cash, wo der ehemalige Bass von Pentatonix, Avi Kaplan, mitsingt.
Ich empfehle außerdem Peter Hollens ft. Tim Foust (der Bass von Home Free) "Misty Mountains".
Und Kopfhörer sind bei A-Capella-Bands ein Muss (IMO).

@@optimusprowse6448 ja, deshalb habe ich Adam auch bei einer Q+A direkt danach gefragt, weil ich online einfach nichts darüber finden konnte und das war seine Antwort. Das mit dem Weltmeister hat irgendein Fry mal fälschlicherweise gesagt und seither wurde es so oft wiederholt, daß es von vielen jetzt als Tatsache angesehen wird

Obwohl ich nicht ganz verstehe, was Sie gesagt haben, habe ich einige Hinweise auf Pentatonix gehört. Ich habe beide Gruppen live gesehen, ich bin der Meinung, dass Home Free weit überlegen ist. Bei Live-Auftritten verlässt sich Pentatonix auf Verstärker, um ihre Basslinien zu pushen. Tim Faust, der Bassist von Home Free, liefert ohne elektronische Tricks.

Well, "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" isn't so much full of bluegrass music as it is full of old-time string band, country, and gospel music. Bluegrass as a distinctive style of music really didn't appear until the late 1940s/early 1950s. Here in east Tennessee, where bluegrass basically was born, we're pretty aware of the timing. Having said that, it's all still good music!
@@douglasloss You realize that movie is not a documentary or filmed in the time it is set? Much of the music in the movie is considered Bluegrass. Or are you claiming The Soggy bottom Boys , Ralph Stanley and the Stanley brothers, John Hartford, The Cox Family, Norman Blake are not Bluegrass?
@@reddragonready You completely misunderstood my comment. No, much of the music in that movie isn't considered bluegrass, by bluegrass fans. The Soggy Bottom Boys didn't exist in reality. The Stanley Brothers were definitely bluegrass. John Hartford (another east Tennessee boy) wasn't, although he was a great musician and a great guy. Neither was Norman Blake (another great musician). The Cox Family isn't traditional bluegrass either, they're mostly a country gospel band in the old-time string band style. This was church music when I grew up--no one mistook it for bluegrass. Bluegrass fans don't get all hot under the collar about people mislabeling all old-time music as "bluegrass," but it really isn't. Bluegrass is a subset of old-time music from the Applachians. I'm not trying to start a fight, that's just how it is.

It means..he combined elements of different genres. Like all genres it developed through time with different great musicians in the genre.
A musician is capable of playing different genres of music. And thus be a Bluegrass musician as well as say a gospel musician.
Both John Hartford and Norman Blake have been recipients of IBMA awards. (International Bluegrass Music Association)
The Soggy Bottom boys didn't exist as a group for other than the Down from the Mountain concerts but the individual members are all Bluegrass musicians.
I am sure you didn't mean to "pick a fight"..you just wanted to set yourself up as a "true Scotsman". Seemingly because you hail from Tennessee. Bluegrass, my friend, has expanded beyond the borders of that state 75 years ago.
