Great reaction! Suggestions for more Home Free: "End of the Road," a Boys II Men cover. Also, for pure harmonies with no beatboxing, check out "Helplessly Hoping" and "How Great Thou Art." And to see their funny side, "Butts Remix," "All About That Bass," and their new release, "Workin' For a Livin." Another new release that is just beautiful is a cover of Old Dominion's "One Man Band." Keep up the great work!
I was familiar with the movie "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" where this song was covered previously. So when I heard Home Free do the song I was absolutely floored. This group is well beyond exceptional!
The sound Adam was making was his version of a harmonica, and when they are in concert Austin also makes that sound, and he and Adam do a duet of sorts.
You did your homework alright!! Good on the names! Home Free is so good. Adam is crazy good and all the boys can do some beatboxing. Tim has a 5 octave range so he can go super low and sing up in the tenor range too. Adam was doing the harmonica and drums, bugs and other sounds but Chance was doing the mouth harp (sounds like a didgeridoo) at the beginning and end of the song. Great reaction Xed.
I really enjoyed your reaction to this song. I hope you have done more Home Free since this one, but I don't see a playlist for them. You might want to add one.
So good to see a new home fry react to what us older home frys love about these guys. Sooperb reaction, stick with them, they never disappoint. ❤️❤️🏴
Hello, Xed. As a new subscriber you just have to react to Home free "When a Man Loves a Woman." You can really appreciate Austin's voice there, along with the harmonies and Adams drumming will blow you out of your seat.
Hello Xed. If you really want to see Adam Rupp's skill, watch Adam Rupp drum solo and for Tim Foust's deep bass listen to Mysty Mountain by Peter Holland featuring Tim Foust
Chris Rupp, Adams brother, has gone solo as "Chance" came in to replace him. Chris Rupp was the one who set up their videos and edited them to get the final result. Chris has his own YT reaction channel where he reacts to the videos he worked on and gives fun insight and behind the scenes "Easter Eggs" of info. Check out his review of Ring of fire. Enjoy!
The sound replicate d at beginning and end is a Jews Harp; a Jaw Harp is a more colloquial name here in the South. Adam Chance is doing it. It is a form of 'Throat Singing done by the Mongolian Steppe tribes. They looped the sound in part here because it hurt his throat, its a great strain on the tightened throat to keep it going for minutes! He does it perfectly tly. Old guy here and we all had one as a kid, but the little twanger You strum while holding the frame with tight lips when learning, wil! hit your teeth and that isn't fun !
For any that have not heard / seen Peter Hollens and Tim Foust doing " Misty Mountains and /or Adam doing " a drum solo " you really need to check out both.
Just found you and immediately subscribed. your reactions are priceless. Love your enthusiasm, compassion, and appropriation for great music. My I recommend three songs by home free? All their songs are excellent. 1. Everybody walking this land. 2. When a man loves a woman. 3. This is my curve ball: In the blood. One of my favorites but not played often. On and on. Chris Stapleton another fine American artist, love all his songs, Cold, Death row, It’s a man’s world, Tennessee whiskey. On and on. Can you tell your fans a little bit about yourself? Appreciate your reactions. Thank you
Hi Xed, I'm a new subscriber to your channel and I too am a "Home Fry!!!" Thank you for this reaction, this song is from the movie "O Brother Where Art Thou?" starring George Clooney and it's on the movie soundtrack...If you haven't done this yet, please consider reacting to Home Free's cover of the O'Jays hit song titled: "Love Train," because it is an absolute VIBE!!!
Butts Medley for hilarity. Ain’t Goin Down Till The Sun Comes Up for handmonica solo. May Day for illustrating their flexibility. Listen to the Music for good vibes.
"Chance" has done a collaboration with "The Hound + The Fox" on Johnny Cash's song "Hurt". Also Chance has a video about his Alabama roots that you might enjoy.
Did you catch Tim dropping an octave when the group repeated the last line of Tim’s solo? Also look for the ‘solo’ Adam Rupp did on stage at one of their concerts. He showed a lot of his repertoire. - BG
Young Lady what you heard at the beginning and you will hear it at the end to me it sounds like what was called a juice harp or some call it a jaw harp.
Please react also to the new Girl Group: Boys World latest Music Video: Something in the Water. The members consist of one Filipina, one Puerto Rican, and, three Americans. They're base in LA, California, USA. ua-cam.com/video/OKe1RJWvq7U/v-deo.html 😊🙏

And check out their newest cover “Workin’ for a Livin’” to hear an even longer harmonica solo from Adam.

The first sound you heard is known as a Jaw Harp (Juice Harp, etc). Chance makes that sound. Right at the end you can see him making the sound.

Chance is a beat boxer too, does the mongolian throat singing that sounds like a diregeredoo or a Jaw Harp.
Awesome reaction
Yeah, Rob reverbed himself.
Awesome reaction! I suggest listening to VoicePlay’s “Oogie Boogie Song” cover. It’s amazing!

So, the question is... are you a Fili-fry?
Fun reaction but you don't have to stop it three times per line. Let the music come together and react to the whole. Not every little sound.
Kee
Wishing you would invest in headphones so you could hear all the music and do a real reaction.
Que pasa pinay.
Ang taray talaga 😊
