The game tells you about the revive mechanic. The first time you have a character go down, there's a popup that mentions you can tap any button to revive yourself over time
I caught on that right off the bat in the beginning.....I died like 3 times so.....its NOT obvious at all, they when I first died it never told me to press buttons but I saw the circle around his face I just decided to spam Circle as fast as I could....

I definitely remember the pop up but as I died first time on a boss fight managarmr I was on adrenaline as the boss really kicked my ass. I just dismissed it because of the adrenaline and wanting to go back to beat the enemy
The game absolutely 100% Does explain to you the first time you enter Critical that you can either button mash to recover, recover by item or be saved by Teammate!
The problem is it’s a one time popup and if your dying your probably not in the right mind to stop and go “aah yes let me fully read and take in this tutorial popup”
An extra tip for anyone new. If you get hit by a big attack that launches you, then you can quickly get back into the fight by using dodge to recover in midair. Just be careful not to use it when there are follow up aoe's and attacks that can launch you again because while falling to the ground you can avoid getting hit if you let the animation take its course
I think the whole "exchange characters sooner or later" thing is a pretty complex one. You don't want to play the whole story mode with characters you don't like, but you can indeed save a lot of rare materials by doing that. So I guess recruiting 2 characters and using your fav character from the initial roster (+Gran/Djeeta) is the most efficient way to go, while still having fun with your fav characters.
This goes doubly now with the new terminus weapons dropping from the new boss. You only get weapons for chars you have. So those who got all the chars will have a much harder time on getting the weapon for the person they main. I only got 3 chars for that reason and saving the rest of the cards after I get the terminus for my main (don’t truely care about the weapons for the rest as they are so expensive to upgrade and if I’m co op I won’t get to use them anyways)
Biggest thing I learned the hard way don’t unlock the new characters until you get your mains terminus weapon. It helps tremendously with the rng getting your mains weapon.
A thing I find useful (especially in end game): Don't was a revive potion the first time you die. Save it for if the critical gauge is really low and you need a clutch. You migh have only died once and the rest of the team dies a bunch of times making it low. If you happen to die at the wrong time with no revive, then you won't have time tome mash anything. I've managed to mash til i had an inch of gauge left but that only meant, if i died again its was an instant fail. Can't mash well? Bring Potion Hoader for more revives and heals.
The level new crewmates come at is not based on your level, it's based on progression. They will be locked at 45 until you complete a particular mission that ups it to 60.
The only exception for the trick is the first Crewmate's Card Siero give after chapter 3, where the character recruited using that specific card are defaulted to lvl 10 iirc
In terms of leveling it will catch up soon and all existing member is leveling that is not in the party- only thing that matters is the skill points- if you unlock later the characters not just the level but the masteries are unlocked so its a big time saving for grinding masteripoints in my opinion for the story u need Gran and 3 other units- so unlock 3 units u want in your party do the story with them and unlock who ever u want then but unlocking 3 characters during story is good.
I don't play Vaseraga but Cag? -Build around stun, cooldown speed and charge time -Linked Together, Cascade and Insult to Injury are your best friends as secondary skills -Rizomata and Phanta are non negotiable -if you have free sigil slots open, go for crit and crit damage over raw attack -Combo finisher 1 for range, finisher 2 for aoe, finisher 3 for stun/SBA gauge, finisher 4 for damage Her signature sigils revolve around her charged heavy, which always charges faster immediately after her combo finishers and some of her offensive skills. They make it faster and, more importantly, provide a 30% Defense debuff on enemies after a fully charged one connects. Since multi hit moves significantly impact SBA gain she'll be able to charge it somewhat faster than most. They also greatly increase stun, so your party will generally have access to very frequent link attacks and link time. She's one of the best supports next to Ferry because of her signature sigils increasing the team's damage on a consistent basis, but since she's close range she's a bit harder to keep safe in combat.
Lets be honest. A chimpanzee can 100% this game. You can literally play on auto assist until the highest difficulty. Even on proud difficulty its impossible to lose if you have 4 maxed out characters. So just have fun and dont overthink this.
Why I can't replace the main character in this game? You see I want to remove him from the party since he's useless and replace him with better character but system says you can't remove him
you'll be able to after you finish the story. During the story the MC must stay in your party. That being said, they are a very good character for their utility
My Biggest mistake was unlocking new characters as soon as I could, so I got 2 left to unlock now.. but I'm on level 70, and struggling from the low points for skills, low shards for weapon upgrades and low money from pumping up all my characters, and underleveled for the new quests 😅😂 So I need a lot of grinding to do for shards, materials and money before moving forward 😅
The character thing is based on story I think. All my characters are 70 but I bought a new character and it was 45 with 50% in masteries - basically where you are expected to be when the story ends

Sometimes I can pull it off but most of the time I can’t 😂 So yeah I play with with the lunge , the one that jumps that slashes to the front , the big hold the button to keep on slashing and then thr one that gives insta 3 buffs. If you manage to get that specific sigil for him that has the 75% chance of not consuming his buff he is amazing.
No you can’t trade Materials for Dalia badges. You have to play online in order to get them. You can get more badges if you have Golden ticket, but only can use 3 tickets at a time.

different weapons have a different tiny skill next to their things, like the starter weapons all usually have hp up as their bonus stat, then others have increased stun, damage, etc. You should upgrade all the weapons eventually since levelling them up and putting master points in them gives permanent stats that apply to all of that characters weapons.
Do you know if buffs/debuffs of the same type stack? I tried to test this with Gran, since he has 2 def down skills, and it didn't look like they stacked.
A few days late but no they do not. Easiest way I checked was Captain's Rage and Percival's Atk+Def buff would simply overwrite each other. However unique buffs can stack, such as Cagliostro Phantasmagoria and Captain Rage works, as does Captain Armor Break and Percival's X-Seele.

Wow, way to nerf the combo potential of an action game using hack n slash style combat, hate it when devs do that, cooldowns are such an unengaging mechanic, getting rewarded for waiting to use your abilities is the least exciting way to play a fast paced action game

Lancelot is one of the best honestly to kill bosses. Those who think he sucks haven't played him correctly he's my main i love him and i'm putting everything i have in him x) the worst part of Lancelot is that he's bad (he will take more time than the others) for bashing normal mobs but if you love him you don't care. He does a lot of damage and he's cool to play but not everyone will like him as i do, so don't mind these guys play the characters you like
Lancelot will be my main when my physical copy comes in (supposedly tomorrow), but I believe all characters have the potential to be amazing if people learn the characters' mechanics and build them properly.

Not true... I get hit pretty hard sometimes. If it wasn't for having a healer in my team, I would die and had to restart a lot. So you do need a healer in your team, unless you want the challenge.
The crew waiting part is not really true, you can just purchase the crew as soon as you can, it will eventually leveled automatically... And as for mashing the button during 'Critical' state is also highlighted by the game, it's hard to miss, unless you skipped the explanation... 😅
Im loving this game my only grip is that there's no way to know what kinda character you get when unlock the new ones. You can unlock a real OP character or a crappy one. I wish you can test them out when have crew member card to at least judge if you like their combat style.
Yeah kinda true, but you can check what skills they have, and even the combos they use. Anyway it's such no problem at all since it's very easy to get tickets and buy all of them pretty fast.

The character's lvl from crewmate cards is based on what difficulty quests you have unlocked. It caps at 45 then goes to 60 once you unlock maniac.

4:20 - I have a fightstick that has a turbo feature. I keep it on the same desk when I play, so regaining life is easy.

3:59 pretty sure it does tell you to keep pressing buttons to get up back before the first boss.
The game does tell you to mash the button while in critical state, i believe its in the transition screen and super early in the game
There's also a loading screen that tells you about the revive menu.

They have different stats and effects. You should level them up anyways they all give permanent stat boosts even when not using the weapon

an end game character build of how u think lancelot should be built would be cool, cos ppl think he sucks, and there will be a million narmaya end game builds lol
Lancelot is one of the best honestly to kill bosses. Those who think he sucks haven't played him correctly he's my main i love him and i'm putting everything i have in him x) the worst part of Lancelot is that he's bad (he will take more time than the others) for bashing normal mobs but if you love him you don't care. He does a lot of damage and he's cool to play but not everyone will like him as i do, so don't mind these guys play the characters you like
Lancelot will be my main when my physical copy comes in (supposedly tomorrow), but I believe all characters have the potential to be amazing if people learn the characters' mechanics and build them properly.
@@sairi_a yeah each of them are special I haven't tested all of them cause I'm having too much fun with Lancelot but you'll have fun x) and the online missions are awesome cause you can't just run and kill everything some guys Plays Vane for his Shield Io heal etc I Hope you'll have as much fun as I do or even better x)
Every character its good, the game its not hard, you dont have to sweat about anything, just play whatever you like.

Not true... I get hit pretty hard sometimes. If it wasn't for having a healer in my team, I would die and had to restart a lot. So you do need a healer in your team, unless you want the challenge.

How many active skills can you unlock per character? If its less than 8 i skip this game.
The crew waiting part is not really true, you can just purchase the crew as soon as you can, it will eventually leveled automatically...
And as for mashing the button during 'Critical' state is also highlighted by the game, it's hard to miss, unless you skipped the explanation... 😅
Their max is 45 so the grind is still kinda meh
Characters come at level 60 with over 60% mastery tree once you unlock the third tier of quests.
You call level 60 the endgame, I say that's where the game actually starts
Im loving this game my only grip is that there's no way to know what kinda character you get when unlock the new ones. You can unlock a real OP character or a crappy one. I wish you can test them out when have crew member card to at least judge if you like their combat style.
Yeah kinda true, but you can check what skills they have, and even the combos they use. Anyway it's such no problem at all since it's very easy to get tickets and buy all of them pretty fast.
