I'm going to be honest here. I've been playing rackham as my main from the start to proud and... Did not know I could store a bulls eye blast 😅
i noticed that yesterday haha. i started charging and dodged when the boss almost punched me and i when i started to charge again, he just blasted it instantly. was like: "Wow, thats cool".
Is not needed. You can use Low profile and spam from far away and you will do enough damage to contribute to the party.
Rackham is like the ranger from PSO or the light bow gun from MH Rise. Its easy mode, fast and badass.

I noticed Rackam potential straight away and has been the MVP machine of this game for me. I used wild gunsmoke untill the dmg cap shizz made me swap it out for whatever i need at any time. Slag shot most of the time
you can actually store your charge progress on bullseye blast by dodging which can squeeze in extra dps in certain situations (especially useful if you're aerial rackam since you can just store it and use it right after a link attack or a break because the monster will probably be staggered and not be in range for the optimal aerial blast spread)
It's pretty handy for boss mechanics where you have nothing to do. You can just charge up and save it for later

im pretty sure cascade isnt bugged cause on Katalina it works fine do remember cascade strength effect depends on the type of attack youre doing for example if youre spamming your triangle that 2% if you have max cascade kicks in but if youre spamming square then of course that 2% isnt gonna kick in honestly wish they couldve showed us a more in depth detail of certain sigils
yeah it's not bugged its just so low that people think it was
cascade does work out simply doesn't have a visual indicator on certain instances... it is working as intended according to the devs

Why needs cascade when you build jump and shoot style? Yesterday i get 3 terminus easily and today i dont get one, is rackam have minus luck?
My follow up after yesterday i get terminus for rackam so i train him until he can participate in farming terminus but no drop from it😅
Rackam is good for farming terminus tho!
One thing to note is if you are using skills on rackam, particularly double tap and coffin maker, you would want to have drain in your build somewhere. The healing potential is crazy since he has so many multi hits in very short periods of time.
Even one level on a wrightstone is good to have.
drain is based on dmg so any big amount of dmg in a short period of time works, basically just more dps more lifesteal
@@khaild7856 yes but the heal cap from drain is 500 so at 1% you only need to hit 50k to reach it. Even a non maxed rackam can heal 40k hp in a few seconds of pressing the attack button. Also being ranged makes it absolutely broken
Basically the more hits you can do in a short period of time (including supplementary) the better drain performs, almost entirely negating the need for potions

Wonder what the best rotation for Rackam is. There are spamming light attacks, spamming bull's eye and using light attacks only for the gauge, spamming aerial blast, and spamming skills (with enough cooldown). Seems Rackam can be played in many ways.
Yeah Rackam is one of the most versatile characters in this game. I personally "replace" my basic attacks with Coffinmaker and try to use Bullseye blast, but you can totally just focus on the basic attacks, especially with the Rackam sigil that makes it a 4 shot burst
I read bullseye blast is a DPS loss compared to 4rd+supp damage. I haven't tested it though
what do you recommend to switch for glass cannon if someone doesnt like it?
Assuming you already have Tyranny maxed out, I'd say add some defensive skills like Stronghold or Nimble Onslaught, to make your life a little bit easier

Double deals 100% of ur normal dmg it's not like supp dmg where it's only 20% also supp dmg doesn't help with filling ur heat gauge but with double tap it goes up twice as fast since u literally shoot 2 bullets per shot

Tbh I don't use Collateral Damage much anymore. I truly believe in it's damage potential and I know how to dodge out of the way...but every time I forget to take it off when I leave the AI to control my boi...I get to see how bad the AI is at avoiding that near death experience everytime it's used
I think they intended that since character has banter to it. It's rackam iconic meme in og game, he even has sticker exploding. 😂
@@serenity3157 ah I didn't know it was that in tune with the lore. Gotta say it's irritating but at the same time hilarious when the whole group yells out "RACKHAAAAAAM" whenever he blasts himself with it.
If you're too close when using it, it detonates right away making the dodge timing difficult without accidentally cancelling the skill. I prefer running the faster cd skills with slag shot being the biggest burst when point blank
@@kylecarey4189 I always have trouble deciding between slag shot and bullet hail. Slag Shot does more damage but bullet rain fills your heat gauge as it deals damage letting you fire off an extra bulls eye blast or 2 if not running wild gun smoke (or while its cooling down)
Why do you need quick cooldown if less is more requires no skills to do more damage?

Cascade isnt bugged it does work i tested with double cascade and with double quick cool down and found out 1 cascade with 2 quick cool down sigils is way better.

I believe that you still get dizzy regardless of you resistance. That would be pretty broken if you could completely mitigate the downsides of glass cannon

sadly due to damage cap being so low it's just a way to boost your attack that is less significant in comparison to most other sigils like Stamina / Life on the line / Tyranny.

I started using rackam and i wanted to know what quest is good for leveling up fast?
I leveled rackam from 60 to 100 in like 5 or 6nslime runs
Slimepede is classic, bunch of exp and u get exp books combine that with some fast learner it will be quick. u can throw in some path to mastery get some more mp too
Leveling isn't too much of an issue - it also only gives a minor boost to stats. I'd recommend doing a few rounds of Slimepede, then running Assault Formation. You get lots of Machine Units and High-Grade Scrap, which you trade in for Knickknack vouchers at the Siero shop. Use these to transmute sigils - make sure to do the Level 3. Both missions will earn you a decent amount of Mastery Points, which have a much greater impact on improving your character than getting levels.

Is Less is More bugged? You say that it is providing the biggest boost to damage, but you have 4 skills equipped. So, you wouldn't be getting the bonus of it's working correctly.
How and when did we learn cascade is bugged? Damn that's annoying
When cooldowns from fast attacking/multi-hit characters did not end any earlier as everyone thought it would, so putting on characters like Lancelot and Charlotta can’t utilize it at all.
One theory is that it could be scaled differently for each character’s attack type as slow attacking characters like Io seemingly do have their cooldowns reduced from Cascade.
Nobody is underestimating him lol. There’s at least 1 in the vast majority of my online sessions. The dude is everywhere 😂

I seen another guide talking about aerial, and that is insane damage, hitting 200k * 7 shots per aerial
I dont think im cheating and just utilizing the feature of my controller. Gulikit pro controllers has rapid fire button function. I just spam regular square/X that looks like at automatic rifle and deals higher damage than doing the regular timed attacks plus charge shots since it reduces the time you charge. I do this when just doing farming materials.

i dont know about rackams caps specifically, but for some characters its really hard or near impossible to max out all their caps. so buffs are not useless. people are just spreading this around bc they didnt invest in actually learning how their damage caps work.

I find that I don't use the basic attacks often enough to use Double Tap, that's mostly why I don't run it. I tend to have Coffinmaker available most of the time to "replace" the basic attacks if you will
I don't think Glass Cannon is ever worth it. With 65 dmg cap, Catastrophe, and various masteries, you already have over 400% dmg cap. Going to 430% is only a 7.5% dmg increase. Really not worth when you can get other defensive/utility sigils instead.
If you can get away with it I say why not
But you're right,, you do get more milage from defensive skills.

@@kylecarey4189 I just tested on all of my main attacks and skills on Vane. Because of all the sources of dmg cap, adding Glass Cannon only increased my dmg by ~5.5%.
Edit: Ill do more testing, cause that was with War Elementalist too. So it would scale WE and Supp Dmg some ass well. But again, in total it will be well below 10% dmg increase for a sigil with no + and a massive downside.
Im sure you dont need any dmg sigils. Ive got 4 dmg cap sigils +15 and 5+ dmg cap with terminus weapon which is about 6k attack + 50% dmg + extra 100% addnl dmg cap. So 350% dmg cap. And you pretty much hit that with no bloody sigils.😂
I think the build is fantastic.. but what I find really annoying and bad game design is the need to take up slots with Damage Cap. I think FFX did it best by having you do a series of quests per character to unlock this. While I think the game is great.. the damage cap sigils is just lazy design.
Yeah it's very unfortunate that the devs added Damage Cap in this way. Hopefully they change it soon

Awakening or one signature with a secondary
I love the game, i really do but there are no builds, there is an endgame template that every single character follows no matter what role they are supposed to be originally like Vane, Cagliostro etc.
There are the slightest changes here and there like Rosetta not really needing Supp dmg that much but that is very rare
You think putting sigils like combo finisher, combo booster, skilled assault or charge attack dmg on some characters make sense until you take them off and realise you do the same amount of dmg without them and resign to using Supp dmg as always
The fact that people are excited about something like Glass Cannon cus it again...increases dmg cap on top of the actual dmg cap is very telling on how monotone the "builds" in GFR are

Game has a super fun combat and great characters but they dropped the ball with the customization, making it an illusion of choice pretty much
All the other sigils are there to make it harder to get your DMG Cap V+ and Supp dmg from appraisals

tbh you just have to learn boss patterns, the downside is it can start to hurt your fingers after multi hour grinding sessions because jump into aerial shot into dodge into aerial shot is a bit much when playing for hours
i farmed a lot of the endgame proud terminus part farm bosses with the aerial shot build, i only do the other one when i'm lazy because sometimes the charge shot bugs out online
I despise DMG cap as a mechanic so much. That's one thing.
But the fact that defence down doesn't act as a damage cap increase too, ditto other buffs, is so brain-dead it's just infuriating.
I'm at end game now and I'm finding a lot of these kinds of decisions/ mechanics that are spoiling the experience for me.
Esp for characters like Rosetta who does way less damage than other characters because she has support abilities...

Possible they add something like this in impossible raids. Would be really nice tbh.
yeah dmg cap sucks even in the mobile game there is a ton of enormous selfish atk buff that make no sense since you will get cap through items anyway, it makes the game easier to balance but much less fun to play. they wont change it though, they never changed it for the mobile game, they wont change it for relink

Damage cap not only makes certain abilities pointless, it makes game mechanics like hitzones or bonus damage for certain moves pointless.

Agreed. There is huge potential to create a variety of builds and playstyles in this game but the need to run dmg cap on every build severely limits these possibilities.
