As a viewer, I like the anticipation of rooting for my favorite games to be on lists like these, but once I get to the end I want to make sure people know their favorites weren't forgotten. If I put honorable mentions at the beginning the video would lose the anticipation. I would be declaring that such games didn't make it.
The Games Shed this dude was stupid I don't know what the he'll be smoking and how he left out Mario 64..... just wasted my time watching his horrible list

Ya know I never understood why Ocarina Of Time is loved and Majoras Mask is so hated. I mean now Majoras Mask is now been voted one of the best but that doesn't change anything. It has the same graphics, same gameplay, but a couple of minor differences. Different Story, New Gameplay elements. That's exactly what Majoras Mask had and in my opinion it had a much better story than Ocarnia. And once again personally I find Banjo Kazooie to be slightly better than Mario 64. While I did not agree with every game on your list I must say I love your enthusiasm and joy for games. It's really quite refreshing to have someone passionate and sincere about what they love!
I really enjoyed your passion towards Zelda:OoT, and you are absolutely right it really is an amazing game and will always hold a special place in my heart for so many reasons. Metroid Prime is another game that gives me that same feeling.
Thankyou for putting Diddky Kong Racing so high! It's such an underrated gem - that game managed to create a truly unique feel, a true delight to play - the music, worlds and characters were incredible!! And Majoras mask is truly a work of art. I always feel a daunting feeling just before I switch the cartridge on. It really feels like you have an undertaking in a different world.
the comment is kinda old, but just in case, yeah, there are also texture packs you can use on emulators: strategywiki.org/wiki/The_Legend_of_Zelda:_Ocarina_of_Time/High_Resolution_Textures
Yes there are a TON of ways that you can play with better graphics if you have even a low end PC or a 3DS. Check out Nerrel's texture pack for Majora's mask here on UA-cam. Also, even if you have a low end PC, you can emulate the 3DS versions. I played them on my pc, connected to my 42 inch TV, and I believe that this is the definitive way of experiencing these games.
Yep I still remember when OOT came out and playing it in Media Play, remember Media Play? Jeez prob one of the only games I remember sampling as a kid, that and RE remake in Babbages.
Sadly, I've only seen one list so far where Banjo-Tooie made it on. It's not only that people prefer Kazooie, but Tooie is mostly completely ignored as if it wouldn't even exist. It's disturbing.
Tooie could have been great, but they made one of the least enjoyable parts of the game part of the main focus in all the backtracking. Also, it doesn't have quite the same charm that Kazooie did.
"And on the other hand, Slippy....the idiot." 😂😂😂😂😂 Glad to know I'm not the only one who can't stand Slippy. Some of my best memories on Star Fox 64 are intentionally blasting Slippy and listening to him whine about it. Great channel, by the way. One of the best on gaming. Hope you'll return to the Nintendo Power reviews at some point. I was fortunate to be a subscriber from the very beginning and still have every issue (in storage) Your remarks on the magazine are hilarious and seeing those pages brings back great childhood memories. Keep up the great work!!!
Both versions; Ocarina of Time is the game I will always go back to countless times. I just feel at home playing this game, not sure how to explain it.
As far as I remember, the traditional pronunciation is likely to be Oh not Aw, but changed when it was brought overseas. Many words have two acceptable pronunciations, and I think this is a word that should likely fall under that list of words.
I was really late to Blast Corps and when I played it... well... it was enjoyable, but I never got lost in it. I understand why others enjoy it, but it's not my cup of tea.
Johnny is in a class by himself. I love his videos. Did you see his final issue Nintendo Power video? It was emotional... While I also love the N64 I would sorely miss my SNES and NES if I only had the games on this list. You know you would miss all your pokemon games. lol. Thanks for being awesome Rusty.
I feel trite putting Ocarina and SM64 where they are on the list, but at the end of the day... I couldn't do anything about it. That's where I felt they belonged. As for Beetle... I expected to get some criticism for that one. I haven't though... hmm. Thanks for watching.
I do have a gamecube. I'll probably do a list eventually, but it'll be a while. In addition to the typical Mario/Zelda/Metroid games, I really liked Eternal Darkness, Beyond Good and Evil, Resident Evil 4, F-Zero GX, Rogue Squadron 2, Monkey Ball 1...
I didn't put it on here separately because i think the first Banjo is representative of the series and I think the first one is better. Tooie had serious frame rate issues that at times made it difficult to enjoy.
Yeah I didn't say it outright, but Banjo Kazooie sort of holds the place of both games since they are so similar, but I found Tooie to be more glitchy and I honestly never completed it.
Zelda does rub some people the wrong way... I can accept that. Especially if you were late to the N64 party. I have trouble enjoying PS1 games for the same reason.
I played the 3DS port recently and the Water Temple was much improved. I agree though. I hated the Water Temple in the original game. It took forever... stupid iron boots.
Look up the proper pronunciation and you will see pretty good arguments on both sides for how to pronounce it. Ultimately, it doesn't matter. The game is fun.
Wow that's crazy! My videos are being translated! I hope you give me a really deep, manly voice. lol. Tell him I said "Hello"... I don't know any portuguese.
You should really go finish it, but if you have a 3DS you should play it on there as it has many improvements. It is the definitive version in my opinion.
